- Rayonic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16I'm going to guess it'll be an MMO-RTS. Something kinda like a cross between Battlezone and Planetside, with a dash of EVE Online thrown in for good measure.
Instead of just controlling one guy, you'd control a squad or battlegroup from ground-level. Perhaps the number of units you control would go up as you "level". This would make sense both as a Terran/Protoss (increasing in rank) or as a Zerg (increasing in psychic power as a cerebrate).
I'm just pulling this out of my imagination, but it goes to show that a Starcraft MMO wouldn't have to be WoW-like. - Negyxo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Blizzard games are always quality. I have faith.

I figured this would be obvious to anyone who read the article, but I'm still seeing alot of debate about whether it will be a Starcraft game or not. They've killed the damned industry, though not monetarily wise I mean. Why make a game you'll only get $50 a pop for when you can sucker in some geeks to paying you $15 or so a month on top of the games cost! I'm hoping for Starcraft II.
