- yongke, on 12/23/2007, -4/+23This isn't a sequel, it's simply a similar looking product by a different company. It's like Pepsi Cola and Coco Cola, they are alike, even in names, they still have no association with each other whatsoever. No where does the picture actually say "Vii 2".
- ursername180, on 12/23/2007, -7/+4It doesn't say "Vii 2" anywhere because it's in Chinese. Not English.
- ursername180, on 12/23/2007, -1/+9Well I just guess I'm an idiot. :(
I'm going to eat to drown the pain...- finalfantasyIII, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1I just helped you
- ursername180, on 12/23/2007, -1/+9Well I just guess I'm an idiot. :(
- smackhero, on 12/23/2007, -0/+22Coco Cola? is that chocolate flavored coke?
anywho, i think you're probably right about the two products being by different companies. it's also worth noting that in the original Vii commercial, they called the product the "Vii Wiimote" so apparently they consider the Wii, or "Wiimote," a class of gaming devices, not a brand name.
* - my chinese isn't fluent, but i think that's what they called it. - Poggins, on 12/23/2007, -6/+0It is a sequel.
It's the sequel to the vii.
- ursername180, on 12/23/2007, -7/+4It doesn't say "Vii 2" anywhere because it's in Chinese. Not English.

- dadioflex, on 12/23/2007, -1/+2Or wear the Earth out.

- IAmLegend24, on 12/23/2007, -8/+3My friend who lives in shanghai sent me a Vii as a birthday gift its a fun system not a graphically power as a gamecube with some bad knockoff games like Xilda which is a bad Zelda clone.
- benguild, on 12/23/2007, -6/+18Good job at making no sense.
- finalfantasyIII, on 12/23/2007, -7/+2You're obviously literate.. How the ***** could you not understand what he wrote? Are you stupitf!@$%?

- finalfantasyIII, on 12/24/2007, -0/+0I don't know if you're joking with me or not.. It was pretty clear that i wrote "stupid" like this: stupitf!@$%? to create apparent over exaggeration.
It's people like you who ruin good ideas like religion for the rest of us. You should change your user-name to "FaceValue".

- benguild, on 12/23/2007, -6/+18Good job at making no sense.
- scabbers, on 12/23/2007, -2/+10The thing that really blows my mind about the Vii is the ***** price! Is that really what people pay for that piece of *****?
- Carrot1991, on 12/23/2007, -3/+104Once again....the poor kid who will wake up with this christmas morning,,,,,,
it's a me. jario - CrudeDarkness, on 12/23/2007, -9/+7dugg for the first comment after the article.

- blaze03, on 12/23/2007, -25/+11We get it. You can't stress enough that it's made by Chinese people, in China. They make cheap products and are apparently not fluent in non-Chinese languages.
Lose the racist undertones and I won't bury your article next time.- darrenpauli, on 12/23/2007, -2/+12And gain a ***** sense of humour and I'll digg your comment next time.

the race is 'yellow' or more scientifically 'mongoloid' ... - anononon, on 12/23/2007, -0/+3It's a nationality.
- zydar, on 12/23/2007, -0/+0And it's "schmuk" (tm Mel Brooks) not smuck
- SIBerger, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1its actually "schmuck" (tm the Yiddish language)

- darkchild82, on 12/23/2007, -4/+2ha ha... already !?! First the Wii & now the PS3's design ? Why hasn't Nintendo sued yet ?
- banmaster, on 12/23/2007, -11/+2Coz they'd probably leave themselves exposed when the truth that they are deliberately limiting supply came out!
- itsthebrod, on 12/23/2007, -1/+5Nintendo is losing a billion dollars by not meeting the Wii demand. No company would purposely lose a billion dollars just to get a little more hype.
- dontaskagain, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1That would just result in free publicity for this piece of crap
- banmaster, on 12/23/2007, -11/+2Coz they'd probably leave themselves exposed when the truth that they are deliberately limiting supply came out!
- MarrowMan, on 12/23/2007, -17/+11Whats with you ***** making fun of the Chinese! They were inventing paper when we still picking gnats off each others backs.
- chan0429, on 12/23/2007, -3/+14And too bad that's about as far as it went... It's just hilarious the shear quantity of knockoffs and obvious trademark/copyright violation that no other group could get away with.
- houndeyex, on 12/23/2007, -4/+14Maybe they should have invented condoms instead?
- MarrowMan, on 12/23/2007, -8/+1maybe your mom should have used one
- xmod3, on 12/23/2007, -5/+4'Invented paper'? Yeah a thousand years ago. In the last 300 years, the Chinese haven't invented sh!t besides General Tso's Chicken and some other small, minor stuff.
- eggo, on 12/23/2007, -1/+2General Tso's Chicken is the crowning human achievement of the 20th century, you'll take that back if you know what's good for you.
- annonimality, on 12/23/2007, -2/+8The Egyptians invented paper, they called it Papyrus (which is obviously where the name "paper" comes from): http://www.mnsu.edu/emuseum/prehistory/egypt/daily ...
- Syphon8, on 12/23/2007, -1/+3They didn't call it papyrus, the Latin speakers did.
- Bleahdom, on 12/23/2007, -1/+3They tend to classify papyrus as a different form of "paper", with the Chinese invention being closer to what we currently use.
- twigboy, on 12/23/2007, -0/+9Gunpowder *****, gunpowder.
- waldo686, on 12/23/2007, -1/+2haha that got me going
- MarrowMan, on 12/23/2007, -4/+1whatever! I was only being a smartass (as per usual)
- TheWriteGuy, on 12/23/2007, -1/+42The only thing this has in common with the Wii is that you cannot find these on store shelves in America either.
- banmaster, on 12/23/2007, -15/+6"While Nintendo's too busy satisfying Wii demand"
You're seriously kidding yourself if you think Nintendo can't keep up with demand!! If everyone who wanted a Wii could get one tomorrow, sales would dry up practically overnight. The deliberate supply 'problem' is simply Nintendo's way to keep interest in their console as high as possible for as long as possible. Nothing more!
I bet you they have warehouses full of the damn consoles just sitting idle awaiting for the shops to begin taking reservations from customers whereupon they'll be released in a slow trickle just like we've seen since the console was launched.- Carrot1991, on 12/23/2007, -1/+6whether the people buy it or don't the interest should surely stay the same....and wouldn't prolonging it put people of?
- rft3rd, on 12/23/2007, -1/+7The purposeful hoarding of the units does not benefit the company at all. Say they have 1 million units and 1 million customers who want to buy one. whether they sell them all in one day or they sell them over a period of time, they make the same amount of money. It would only be to their detriment to phase them in. Angry customers... the "oh ill get a ps3 or 360 because the store has one right now" effect, the loss of peripheral and games sales. it makes no sense to do that. So I would be willing to bet they don't have a stockpile becuase it hurts them in the long run.
- skywake, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=212
- Syphon8, on 12/23/2007, -2/+5You're an idiot.
- darkfire532, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1Come on guys, banmasters right. We all know Nintendo doesn't want to make money.
- Kragnerac, on 12/23/2007, -0/+33Chintendo - Now you're playing with Porwer!
- SSUK, on 12/23/2007, -5/+0Cony - This is Riving!
- SpongeBrain, on 12/23/2007, -0/+3You mean, now I have to get ANOTHER one?!
- danwallace, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2I can't believe you've done this.
- fubuvsfitch, on 12/23/2007, -2/+9Some pretty horrible, punctuation in that article, annoyed the *****, out of me.
- Almightymole, on 12/23/2007, -2/+6Does it come with a Red Alert Knock-off with Vii 2 Rocket Launchers?
- SSUK, on 12/23/2007, -2/+2I want to see how small the single PCB is inside the Vii 2. The Engadget Chinese opening-up of the Vii 1 was hilarious when the PCB was 1/4 the size of the plastic casing.
- poidh, on 12/23/2007, -10/+5Anyone else totally sick of the Chinese yet?
- theprophet84, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2Me
- stupidpoo, on 12/23/2007, -6/+1This is interesting in that I have never seen this technology. Can it be modded? What type of peripherals will it take and finally what kind of media does it run?
Sounds from the articles that the games suck but i did some digging around google and can not find any info on how to buy one of these things or how much they cost.
Does this thing really exist or is it just a new kind of vaporware?- Dantetheinferno, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1are u for cereal?
- RedHerringHack, on 12/23/2007, -0/+6As long as people will accept crap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it.
- Dick Cavett - mininger711, on 12/23/2007, -0/+8"Vii vould like to play"... sounds more Norwegian than Chinese...
- sjohnson0881, on 12/23/2007, -2/+1Is this for real?
- Jude007, on 12/23/2007, -8/+3The reason they can make knockoffs of the Wii in the first place is cause the technology is so poor . It's basically a PS one with a gyro mouse. If Nintendo made enough to supply the demand everyone would realize this, and not be talking about the fact there's non available.
- Syphon8, on 12/23/2007, -1/+4The Wii is more powerful than Xbox 1, which was so astronomically more powerful than PS2 and GCN that it was barely a last gen system.. Get your ***** straight *rolls eyes*
- Jude007, on 12/23/2007, -5/+0It's still *****
- pistonhonda, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1Damn Sony fanboys.
- Jude007, on 12/23/2007, -5/+0It's still *****
- Syphon8, on 12/23/2007, -1/+4The Wii is more powerful than Xbox 1, which was so astronomically more powerful than PS2 and GCN that it was barely a last gen system.. Get your ***** straight *rolls eyes*
- jizzlies, on 12/23/2007, -5/+4PS ONE? I knew the graphics were kinda poor, but I figurde at least a ps2
- Syphon8, on 12/23/2007, -0/+3Reply button, dumbass.
- Dunhamzzz, on 12/23/2007, -5/+2Its just a fake mock up trying to leech off having a name and a label like a wii.
Sad thing is, this will probably go on Ebay as a "wii" and some poor kid will open it because his naive parents got sucked into the con. These type of products disgust me. - havokdu, on 12/23/2007, -2/+1I guess it's ok if you are poor or cheap.
- DaviDaviDaviD, on 12/23/2007, -2/+10FTA: In conclusion, all I can say is: F**kin’ Chinese man!
That's a bit...extreme isnt it? Come on sure it's crap but do we really need to resort to this language?- anononon, on 12/23/2007, -4/+1He censored himself so what language are you referring too? "Chinese" isn't racist if that's what you are implying.
- moisie, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1I know China is communist but you can't just lump all companies under the same banner of being "chinese" and then act like they're one company. This is another knockoff by a different company, not the same people releasing an improved version of their previous knockoff. Even if it was, it's still a poor knockoff.
- Badtastic, on 12/23/2007, -3/+1Correction: The Chinese are probably the most capitalist minded people on the planet.
- xmod3, on 12/23/2007, -2/+3Badtastic, wow, ur an idiot. if the Chinese were are so capitalistic then why is China communist? Most of the big Chinese companies are state-owned dumba$$.
- Badtastic, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1*LOL*
Have you ever been to China? or Hong Kong perhaps? - xmod3, on 12/25/2007, -0/+1LMAO....hey idiot...Hong Kong was a fvcking british ***COLONY*** that was only handed over 10 yrs ago. 99% of China is nothing like HK dumbsh*t.
- Badtastic, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1Well, judging by the way you write and spell, you: (a) don't seem educated (b) Have obviously never been to China.
Look and learn something about this world my little American friend: http://youtube.com/watch?v=G_ch27z7m38 - xmod3, on 12/27/2007, -0/+1Wow, you get your education from youtube? No wonder you're such an idiot.
FACT: about 50 yrs ago, the Japanese invaded China and killed 500k Chinese.
The Japanese need to invade China again and they need to beat their own record.
- Badtastic, on 12/24/2007, -0/+1*LOL*
- Malarie, on 12/23/2007, -5/+3These ***** just cannot create anything that works or deserves respect. They immitate every ***** thing available on the market without an ounce of knowledge. This is where they lack: Education, they are of course good people, but they just dont have good education.
- Frostman3D, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1Those games look like they suck sooooo bad.
- vjjacob, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1I don't think this could be done in any other country. The government has no problem with whatever the companies do and its very unlikely that these companies can be sued.
- Salanmon, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2The Ps3 and Wii collide in the worst way possible
- olbap, on 12/23/2007, -3/+1You all need to STFU and embrace the novelty of knock-off systems. Gamers are too *****' anal these days.
- slimkevi, on 12/23/2007, -0/+5//waiting for the lead paint recall
- Badtastic, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1Its funny how some people / gamers turn a blind eye to piracy of games and music but somehow feel offended when somebody copies the Wii
- omgwthlol, on 12/23/2007, -2/+2+_+
- zydar, on 12/23/2007, -3/+2Vii are the champions.
- CJ666, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1So this is our first look at an 8th generation video game system?
- eazhar, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1funny how we end up coming full circle with gamers' tastes. Mario Bros. lives once again!!!
- Jude007, on 12/23/2007, -7/+1It's so easy to rip off cause it's so *****. The Wii has the processing power roughly equivalent to that of a door bell.
- flair1, on 12/23/2007, -0/+5too bad for you that processing power does not equal good games.
- Jude007, on 12/23/2007, -1/+1Try telling that to the makers of Deep Blue !!!!
- rarson, on 12/23/2007, -0/+2How many times are you going to spam this story with the same comment?
- flair1, on 12/23/2007, -0/+5too bad for you that processing power does not equal good games.
- otoro, on 12/23/2007, -2/+1its not called vii2. the actual name is called piii
- 42Vindictive, on 12/23/2007, -0/+3I love how this guy criticises PORWER and then spells crappy wrong.
- Rizin, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1Don't you see, the "Vii" is really from the future where Sony and Nintendo end up finally working together on the lost PS project. This is the result you can explain "Porwer" because by then the people "Who tlk liek dis wil hav takn ovr t3h internets"
- superstarCSB, on 12/23/2007, -0/+0Mirror?
