You don't know how many times I've digitally manipulated myself to a pixelated character only to later find out that I've had cyber relations with a man! That makes me gay in my book! I think it should be a requirement that a USB vaginal detector be used whenever playing a female character. Said device would be inserted into said vagina and would detect womanly emissions. Lack of said emissions would result in a deletion of said account.

I was flicking through the test realm forum a while back and found a post by one of these girls (Read: Guy In Real Life) complaining such a feature would ruin his ability to bludge free items by pretending to be a girl. First few comments laughed along, then came the GM reply in the usual blue font... kindly pointing out that the new voice software is compatible with other real-time voice modification software, and providing some links. It's clear why so many of you are upset by the thought of men playing "female" characters: you spend all your time trying to hit on female characters in-game, and you've suddenly realized how creepy and stupid you've been all these years. Personally, I've always gamed with the understanding that the people I'm gaming with are there to PLAY, not to Cyber. Yeah, guys play girls. Just like humans play orcs. Get past it, quit trying to use WoW as a dating service, and grow the hell up. I've personally played a female gnome warrior since Day One in WoW. I could give you a reason, but the simple fact is that I don't owe you one. I pay to play the game, and I have zero respect for retards you spend all their time trying to hook up with other players. If you're stupid enough to flirt with a total stranger in an MMO, based on nothing more than their avatar, then you need some seriously psychological help.

Since this was useless and pointless they eventually stopped. It really didnt matter to me, if I was forced to play as a male, meh, so be it, dosen't really bother me.
But I don't see the problem with playing as a female character so long as you don't try to flirt or anything else just to get items.

Before, probably a 50-50 mix of male/female characters. After they ban males playing as females, you get a 95% male to 5% female online population. The result is an open season on the 5% real webcam-authenticated female gamers by the armada of horny male gamers, resulting in the small female population to either pretend to be male, or to quit the game altogether.
And Aurora will now have achieve a 100% male online environment. not gay at all. :)
