Casual games make serious profits

- jggube, on 07/20/2008, -1/+2I think casual games (i.e. doesn't require you to raid for 5 hours straight every night) is beginning to see huge profits because it appeals to a broader type of gamer - from soccer moms to businessmen that play games on their blackberry to pass the time while in transit. It reaches gamers that more "hardcore" games can't.

I also don't understand why "violent" tends to be one of the defining characteristics of a core game. Then again, I guess it depends on your definition of violence.
