- vonelab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The Revolution cannot lose. It's impossible.
I heard Sony was losing an estimated 1 billion from sales on the upcoming PS3... that sounds like a large number and its gatta be wrong- but Nintendo doesn't lose money on their consoles, Microsoft and Sony do. They somewhat failed with using the stylus on the DS... but they finally perfected it into this controller. The system isn't going to be highly priced, so people will pay for the novelty of it... maybe I'm using the wrong word. Not the novelty... but the fact that it's going to be the next generation of gaming. - Leviss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i think that its going to open up the world of gaming to a whole new demographic of people, everyone that has played it has said that it is phenominal. And im not a Nintendo Fanboy by any means, i just can tell that this is going to change console gaming forever and i cant wait!
- americruzano, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This guy is dreaming.
Im a hardcore die-hard Nintendo fan, but some of the things he's saying in that article are just completely baseless. - vonelab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree americuzano... but I'm not even a Nintendo Fanboy (until now) and I've got to say that Nintendo's strategy is amazing. They really have something on their hands. Props to Nintendo for starting a revolution... now wheres V for Vendetta and a Scanner Darkly?!?!... everything set for 2006... i cant wait that long!!!
- replica, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just want them to take market share from Sony.
- okto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Okay okay okay. Picture this: Soul Calibur on Rev. I know, I know, no combos, but hold on. Imagine actually DOING the combos. Whipping the controller for Ivy's sword. Pogoing it around in the air as Yoshimitsu. It's going to be amazing. This won't be another Gamecube.
- L0t3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have a theory. MS and Sony are running neck and neck in a short-term race to prove they have the craziest hardware. In the meantime, Nintendo is quietly and maturely reaping the benefit of their decades of experience. All the 20-somethings that grew up on Nintendo are in to their careers by now, have expendable income, and are even having children. They're ready to buy consoles for themselves and their kids; and shoot-em-up, beat-them-to-death, bloody-as-hell, profane-as-hell games only appeal for a short time. Then the shock value wears off and guess who cleans up? Nintendo. They have mind-share with us, and their games are more FUN, not shocking, not gruesome.
I think its all over but the shouting... but I've been wrong before. - MaxwellH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This article delivers--it's a really great insight into the possibilities of the 2006 gaming console wars.
