C&C 3 demo - also upcoming interview with Kane!

    • arcele, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yes, Command and Conquer is by far the greatest video game series ever. I was super excited when I saw that the demo was out until I did a little searching around...apparently Feb 20 is not an official date. I'm excited nonetheless.

    "Hey guys,

    Alright, all this commotion! My gosh, relax my friends, the demo is on its way, but it is NOT coming today. We have not announced the official date of the demo and all of the gaming sites reporting on its intended release date have been incorrect and stemming from the mistaken FilePlanet news.

    So here is the deal, I am not privy to announce a release date for our demo yet so I cannot put myself in hot water here understandably :o) That said, we will be announcing VERY SOON the release date of the demo. It is coming sooner than you think, but I will say right now as well, its not coming tomorrow either.

    I will keep you guys posted, expect an announcement very soon. If possible, we try and make that announcement today.

    As I am sure you understand, the last thing we want to do is make an announcement that isn't 100% accurate which is why I'm not going to make any good educated guesses here even though...I know, hehe.

    So, please, no more demo threads, sit tight, its on its way very...very soon.

  • Seraphi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I love how the two "rivals" are getting released together again, I remember the long long arguments between myself and friends about TA and C&C. and now we get to do it all over again for the next 5 years! :D

    Supreme Commander all the way for me, especially seeing as EA have probably ruined the series that once was a good rival. RIP Westwood! :p

      SC felt extremely similar to TA, I thought. Teching up works pretty much exactly as before, resource types simply have their names changed, and, hell, the unit and building types are extremely similar as well. You can still go out and "gather" mass from the ruins of past battles, even. A better question is, how is SC NOT like TA?

      I'm extremely looking forward to C&C3, but I pray that C&C3 is as close to the original C&C feel as SC was to TA.

    love their EA Big games like NBA Street and their pc games including Battlefield 2142 and C&C Generals....preordered C&C 3 Kane edition...

    hate their business practices including lousy overtime pays, in-game advertising that doesn't do anything for gamers but raising their profit margins, NFL license hoarding with that god aweful Madden, lousy FIFA license...

    it's like hating myself for loving their games....

  • LMN8R, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1After Company of Heroes compared to C&C Generals, it's no surprise that there have been more previews showcasing the backstory of tiberium and FMV clips then there has been explaining what, exactly, is new about gameplay.

    I've loved the C&C series since the very first game and own about 10 of the games and expansion packs, but this game just looks like more of the same with a new coat of paint.


    Hopefully the demo proves me wrong. Cameron from House and Sawyer from Lost are in it! And Kane is back!!
