I've recently gone through some of the more recent similar games out there but have now just opted to go back to stuff like Neverwinter Nights 2. Seems like most of what's coming out now either tries to mix the fantasy rpg setting with rts gameplay, or it's just too focused on multiplayer content (from forced co-op to mmo). So it'll be good to have an epic and deep single player campaign to sink my teeth into.

    After Hearst bought 1UP and related publications like EGM, they laid off many people. Four of them founded Area5 to produce a continuation of The 1UP Show. Many old 1UP Show faces have guest appearances.

    Personally, I'm a little bit annoyed by the product placement and not all ads are clearly identified as ads, but overall I'm just happy that The 1UP Show lives on. It was and still is (despite its new name) the best games show I know.

  • KAMiKAZOW, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Well, you can. Digital video cameras are not that expensive these days. There are lots of good video editing apps out there that are either free (eg. Kdenlive) or don't cost much (eg. iMovie).
    You could even just use a webcam to get started. Upload the resulting video to YouTube or a similar service.

    Co-Op is right above diggnation. Just because they talk about just video games and I love it.

    I wish I could create a tv show and just talk about video games all day.

    Anything with a number after it is usually not worth any hype at all - the exception being COD4. But MW2? The snowmobile scene looks like they are going after James Bond. Sure, I'll buy it and ME2 and maybe even AC2. L4D2 I'll buy if they bring it out at a lower price, otherwise I am buying it used. There is no way Valve is getting full money after leaving L4D hanging.

  • brassknizz, on 06/10/2009, -0/+0Shadow Complex is the only exclusive on Xbox I've been jealous of as a PS3 owner. I'm a sucker for castlevania and metroid platformers, and it looks like they did a great job on that game. Hopefully it'll come to PC after a while.

  • dalittle, on 06/10/2009, -5/+2To be honest, does not look like a bumper crop this year. Only ones that look good to me are Left for Dead 2 and Knights of the Old Republic MMO (the trailer looks fantastic, hope Bioware can make another classic like Baldur's Gate).
