COD4 is NOT CONFIRMED to run at 60 FPS on the PS3
n4g.com — A bunch of Sony fans mad an intricate web of forum posts at PS3fanboy.com, n4g, psxtreme, etc. that said COD4 will run at 60FPS on the PS3, however, the posts link you in circles and never show the actual source quote from the developer at Infinity Ward. Digg it up and get the truth out.

- SGagnon, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Uh? The link points to the opposite of what you're saying...
- truspector, on 10/10/2007, -11/+5The link points to a story submitted to neogaf from............wait for it................the PS3 forums. Hardly a reputable source.
- charlescheese, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Actually this was posted on the COD4 forums by the dev. If you're too lazy to sign up for the COD4 forums that's your problem. The dev said 60fps, and I'm not sure why this game, running at 60fps on the PS3 threatens all that you live for. I honestly can't understand why you and wageslaven are so hell bent on trolling the PS3. It must fantastic if you devote so much time trying to beat it down.

- coheedcollapse, on 10/10/2007, -7/+13Are you and wageslaven hired by Microsoft? Seriously? Who really hates a console so much that a majority of their time on a social site is devoted to saying bad things about it. If you're going to complain about an un backed up article from a dubious source what should we think about the tons of articles you submit that reflect the PS3 negatively with absolutely no proof?
- wageslaven, on 10/10/2007, -11/+4Hey! Im famous! No, Im not paid -- I do have a Computer Science Degree, and work in I.T.
That said, what happens quite-a-lot is exactly what this submitter states.
For instance, the "30% failure" on Xbox 360s. This is from a Blog post from Australia, in this post, the author quotes an anonymous "Game Store Manager" who says (an I'm paraphrasing) that "he did see a lot of returns at first. Much fewer now. He *guesses* it might be something like 30%"
See, that is the whole fcuking source of that meme.
Sony has a very well known Black PR team. They've been caught doing this material before. I have no doubt that they dont organize the fanboys at http://www.sonydefenseforce.com/ and http://sonyprotectiongroup.com/ to do exactly what is said here, manufacture reality.
I believe this is possible because I'd wager the Playstation 3 ownership demographics skews a little younger than the Xbox 360 owner. There is far more emotional attachment and self-identification going on with that group...
but what do I know, If I *did* work for MS -- I'd probably have that data at hand... alas, I am just a game player.- shinythingy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Despite the fact that pretty much all 360's can and most probably will fail or did you miss that announcement also. Btw i don't care and neither does anyone else that you supposedly have a Computer science degree
- MewTwo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5You *****. Give it up already. Why do you allow Microsoft to continue to sell defective hardware?
- gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I don't know if COD4 has a problem or not but your analysis seems spot on Wageslaven. Sony's entire marketing strategy has been don't buy a 360 from day one. PS3 Fan boys act more like cult members than rational consumers. They parrot whatever marketing drivel they are fed as if it were fact. Claims about the PS3's superior power have yet to manifest in any actual games that have been made.
This will fix it's self on or about the 20th time a PS3 game can't look or perform as well as it's 360 countrerpart, they will give it a rest.- Melkezidec, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Its funny that people said the same thing ab out the PS2 when it came out, and everyone praised the Xbox for having better looking games, expecially early in the life span , but over time the PS2 games only looked better and better, and the Xbox only looked worse, Just my observation, and maybe you haven't played a game at 1080P yet, but I assure you native 1080P looks much better then whatever 720P upscaleing you get on your machine

- hater2win, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11Here is a link to the charlieoscardelta boards, where a dev crated the post saying that it will in fact run at 60FPS. He mentions the 60 FPS part on the second post below the OP.

- spoiled1, on 10/10/2007, -12/+6Please go back and play on your BetaBox360
Oh, and I don't have BetaBox360, I will buy the tested, verified, no RROD final Xbox360 version with newer parts in it ... whenever it comes out.- jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5I won't buy it even if they do fix it. Microsoft knowingly released a defective piece of hardware to their loyal customers only to get a jump start on the competition. Then they lied about the defects. Look what else Microsoft has brought to the industry. $59 standard retail price for games, Microtransactions, and pay for Internet play. As a gamer is this really the kind've of company we should reward?
- loganhid, on 10/10/2007, -6/+12if people think the PS3 has no power then watch the MGS 4 in-gameplay video
- gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2I will wait for the game.
- The2ndRunner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Here it is for PS3, judge for yourselves:
