03+04=07- nerdherder, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3Its not Blizzard stop trying to "figure it out."
- baldr, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3Before people start throwing out "7" references, please actually read the article. It isn't a joke/trick, bungie wouldn't have a countdown and then cancel it as a joke, and Luke Smith clearly said it is not one. And references to the number 7 can be pulled out of anywhere when you look hard enough.

Message.... - AzzidReign, on 07/16/2008, -4/+1http://digg.com/gaming_news/Bungie_Our_Publisher_i ... Article has been updated. Microsoft is the publisher.
- thepromise, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1It's very clear that this isn't a joke or some kind of ARG. Bungie was forced to not reveal their new game by their "publisher," aka Microsoft. From a business perspective, it makes perfect sense to not undercut the reaction and buzz created by GOW2 and FF, and hold on to this announcement for another day...
I was dugg down for stating this earlier, but the site http://1019foxfm.net popped up recently (ala IloveBees), orginally counting down to a time ending this Friday. That changed shortly before Bungie posted the announcement that they can't reveal their new game, and now it points to 08/07/2008 7:17 PM. Possible announce date perhaps? Oh, and before you view the source, and say "HEY! It was made in Yahoo Site Builder! It can't be there's!!!", realize that Bungie knows how a website is made, and they know that we will check the source.
In any case, the non-announcement today may only help create buzz about this new game, rather than hinder it.
