It was a sort of cultish thing before Halo 2 but now it seems like every other 12 year old plays the damn thing. Along with modders and cheap exploits in the game it's really just a multiplayer game that pisses you off more than entertain you. The damn sword and the cheap-ass plasma pistol/battle rifle combo took a lot of the fun out of the game for me.

Just wait till it looks better. If you are truly a Halo fan, you'll want to play Halo or Halo2 on your xbox360. That being said, I see a lot of MS haters, Sony fanyboys on digg. 99.9% of people with an xbox that purchase an xbox 360 will want to play one and only one "old" game on xbox live, that being Halo 2. to hear it will be backwards compatible and look a bit better too, at no cost is nice to hear.

If there is one thing Xbox owners didn't get enough of with the first Xbox, it was Halo. With how bad 360 games are looking, I guess the excitement is understandable, though quite pathetic.

Outdated! Let see, the Dreamcast 360:
1) Has LESS storage space than the FIRST xbox!
2) 360 games all have massive amounts of jaggies - thanks to Microsoft being cheap and only including 10Megs of EDRAM
3) Too weak to play in HD, crappy 1080i is the best it can do
4) Can't play next gen high def movies in 1080p - old disc format and no real HDMI
5) And developers have no reason to support the harddrive since Microsoft is too cheap to make it standard
6) Hardware so weak that it is the first console to have ports of pc games that have to their graphics turned down - before the console has even hit the shelves
NextGen??? I don't think so.
