This is of course, forgetting that the PS3 exclusively uses a variant of OpenGL 2.0 ES and that Unreal Tournament 3 will be using it on the platform. And considering that the Xbox 360 only supports DirectX 9, we're looking at a DX9 game. Besides, making it DX10 would restrict it to Windows Vista gamers only.

UT04 was more like an apology for UT03... but yeah, it works like this

proabably not! Quake series, Painkiller, Warsow leave it in the dust when compared as speed..

I'm sorry to say, not anymore. Gears of War is the highest grossing and best selling Epic game ever made. I may share your sentiment for Unreal, but I also recognize the fact is that this trailer is marketing, and they are marketing to the millions of Gears players that may not even heard of Unreal Tournament, but found Gears to be an amazing game and will be willing to try UT3 since it's made by a dev that they now associate with amazing games. - AlienX3.5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was thinking of getting an xbox 360 just for gears of war, UT3, and gears of war but then i realized i would even get it just for UT3 (not ps3 cause too expensive for me) alone. that's when i remembered how fast-paced it is which is why i love it...but with a controller that sux. UT3 was made for pc and is best on pc. Now i am worried they adjusted the game so that it's less fast-paced just so it not as difficult to play with a controller.

The creativity and fantastic range of experiences available with the community made levels, skins, voice packs, etc. This may be the one reason for me to pop for a serious upgrade. Otherwise I would just keep puttering and try a 360. The mods are everything to UT. And second half of 2007. Dang I thought it was coming out soon. It will be mid next year before we get really good mods. I want the option to run UR3 utilizing Direct X 10 goodies, if I have to wait that long.
