- jonesin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+38bummer, that would have been cool.
- goostoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Of course, there still is hope. Since Nintendo is reviving old franchises with the Wii... we could see Mario Paint 2, completed by Mario with a Bob Ross afro.
- negativefx, on 10/12/2007, -4/+47WHAT THE *****. This is what I bought the goddamn wii for. Because it's cheaper than an easel and canvas...and PBS.
- android8675, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Joseph (AGFRAG dude), said something about Bob Ross Inc still persueing a video game version of the late, great Bob Ross's Afro, just not with his group anymore. So not really "canceled", but indefinatly on hold might be a better headline.
- jrathert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Hey android8675, thanks for the info. I just updated the story to include it.
I don't know if I would have bought the game, but I'm disappointed by the news, considering I see it as being a potential system seller to non-gamers.
All we can do now is send our pleas to Bob Ross Inc. (info@bobross.com), and hope they take notice. - ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Nooooooooooooooo!!!!
/jumps off tall building - kenadak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1maybe this guy will make a game

*shudder* - Suits, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8undoubtedly a sad day for what might have been, happy little trees, everywhere.
- cambrown99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Only the PS3 has the graphics power to render his hair.
- jldugger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0He's already halfway to looking the part for Mario Paint 2 ;)
- kefs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+68All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.
- Optimaximal, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4As much as I hate Family Guy, that skit made me laugh so much!
- happinessiseasy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The homebrew scene will fill this niche. Once I can do homebrew on my Wii, I will make this game. And it'll be our little secret.
- Vandelay797, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7lol
thats awesome dude.
what a great idea for a wii game ... - hoowahman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wow I thought this was originally a joke when talking about bob ross painting.
- Antialias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+54All the happy little trees are sad...
- oakj423, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23rumor has it his fro could not be perfected
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10They thought about porting it to the PS3, but even the cell processor couldn't handle the massive amount of calculations necessary to render the Bob Ross fro in real time. And the fro textures alone wont fit on a disc for the 360. Sorry guys, but this game is going to have to wait for next-next gen.
- icexe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21ARGH!! why God, WHY????!!!!! this could have been the greatest game ever!
- uttles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I agree. I'm extremely sad right now.
- calvmari, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Open source project hooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
- ThrasherC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@calvmari: LOL +Digg for the Thundercats reference :)
- BillDoE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They will call it, Wii Paint With Mario. If they really want to make it useful they should make Wii Paint able to draw new parts for the Mii's.
- dagamer34, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Better get some trademarks before someone sells that to Nintendo.
- Guard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah... then you're gonna see Mii's with penis' everywhere mingling onto your Wii. Mii Wiis on you Wii you could say. That's family friendly.
- Daunting, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1(Imagines a sea of Mii faces filled with genitals.)
- VincentIII, on 10/12/2007, -13/+4Hes been dead for 11 years, maybe that will explain why it got cancelled....
- a22e, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6He's been dead for 11 years? Since when?!?
- android8675, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5He's like Elvis, he didn't die, just went back to his homeworld. (Sorry to all the Elvis fans I may have just offended, "The King" is still the King.)
- Drull, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1He died in 1995
- uttles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
All the happy little trees are crying!!! - Aaronichi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19That would have sold MILLIONS
- HateStation, on 10/12/2007, -16/+0Probably, since most Wii nerds will buy anything just for an excuse to be different.
- Andicow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@Hate
Or a lot of us Wii-nerds grew up watching Bob Ross and always wanted to try painting like that.
I am upset! I was looking forward to this game more than any other for my Wii!
- foxhaze, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5AGFRAG. Are you kidding me?
- zupzupper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Bummer! I was looking forward to that one too
Any word on the wok cooking game?- Black913Hole, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Now with realistic grease burn action!
- johnhummel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you're talking "Cooking Mama", that's still scheduled for early next year.
Still bummed about this one, though - I would have liked to have tried it as a rental.
- earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7this is so depressing. i was so excited to relive my childhood and figure out what kind of secrets those trees have
- uttles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I emailed them and begged them to reconsider.
info@bobross.com- Drull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ditto.
EVERYONE ELSE DO THE SAME.
WE WANT TO PAINT HAPPY LITTLE TREE'S, GODDAMMIT.

- Drull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ditto.
- jameselease, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OK, so the original press release was on April 1st...hmmm...
- android8675, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4If you talk to the guys at Bob Ross Inc, it wasn't a joke, and they are still considering doing a game, just not with AGFRAG.
- TheG2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3AGFRAG....yeah, I wouldn't do business with them either.
At least come up with something catchy.
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thats horrible news... man that sucks.
I was really looking forward to this game. - DamonDog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I agree, this would have been a great game! Everyone interested should email: info@bobross.com and state your opinion, look at the power that Digg alone is having over decisions in business! This is almost like a democracy without political association, I say... take action!
- uttles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1uh, you mean free market capitalism? Yep, it's pretty damn cool.
- DamonDog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm in favor of whatever we can do to have more of a decision in what we are offered in the form of goods and services and not letting "big money" decide what to sell us.
- skitzovision, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think it would sell. I mean who could hate that guy?. If he wouldn't have died, I think he would be President of the USA right now.
- Anrkist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7WE WANT HAPPY LITTLE TREES!
- Jezmund, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Stupid AGFRAG. Someone should still do it or heads will roll.
- osc1882, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dang it, I was really really looking forward to that game.
- stainboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5i'm going to put a happy little comment right here.
oh, that's nice. - shoeshine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2God damnit, I really wanted that game. Would have brought back tons of memories from when I was little. I used to idolize him.
- ghostrunner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Has anyone contacted Bob Ross, Inc. for further information as the press release suggested? As others have mentioned, it might get picked up by another developer. Any word on that?
- jrathert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I contacted them... still waiting to hear back.
- spoonard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sad news indeed. Still, just means they are not involved anymore. Maybe Bob Ross Inc. wasn't happy with the direction they were taking with the game. Maybe they are gonna get someone else to do it. Wii are the world.
- Trams, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I hope someone else picks it up. I'm not too sure I'd want to see a game from a company who's website looks like this anyway: http://agfrag.com/
- tsar04, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3dude, it looks like they need bob ross more than anyone
- Ironman11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Thats the beginning of the end for the Wii.
(/sarcasm) - marinist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Damn...what a shame. I'd settle for taking out Thomas Kinkade in Splinter Cell.
- thep1mp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2RIP bob
- BentSea, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Mario Paint was a disgrace to all gaming.
- diecastbeatdown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2maybe you just weren't creative enough to have fun with it?
- ninwest2005, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i really want this game!!!
i emailed and i hope everyone else who commented here did too - CardinalFang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I didn't even know there was going to be a Bob Ross game. I used to watch him when I was a kid. I probably would've gotten it just on the curiosity factor. Same reason I got Brain Age.
