Blu-Ray On Xbox? Give up any hopes you might have had

forbes.com — Shane Kim, vice president of strategy and business development for Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment business, tells me that the company has "no interest" in adding Blu-Ray functionality to its console, opting instead to focus on digital distribution.

  • jfg84, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2Good. Microsoft understands the climate. Netflix streaming, digital downloads. Now if they'd just add a browser with YouTube and Hulu support we'd be set.
    • minoss, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1Maybe the the streaming downloads were in HD. Sorry, XBOX pretty much sucks as a HD media platform. Great for gaming though.
