- notkevin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21500 x $15/mo = $22500/mo. I would redefine cheating :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The problem with cheating in MMORPG gaming is that "cheats" are usually exploits - faults in the game design. They should not punish others for abusing holes in a game. Instead, they should have offered a reward program for people who find exploits. This would have encouraged people to find it and not exploit it.
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2$47977500, is what they are still getting a month (don't they have 3.2 mill signed up?) so i don't think they care...
- m.sandstorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As a long time WoW player I say /cheer.
Now if only they could put that same effort into fixing the numberous glitches, including the exploits, they could bring in more customers to make up for those they banned. - kaje, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11500 were banned..i'm willing to bet a good deal of those are so obsessed they will purchase another copy of the game (more $$$) and pay a monthly fee (more $$$) and not cheat cause they're too scared.
- bonlebon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1in the long run is the right thing to do, the lack of compromise of many developers to combat cheating in this way has meant less business for them, poeple get tired of cheaters and they go somewhere else taking their money with them. Good for blizzard.
- dynamicarray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think that it's great that blizzard is doing this. I am a long time WoW player and having coming from playing Everquest I have seen what happens when cheating gets out of control. I am glad blizzard is axing these sorry bastards. Now all they have to do is get rid of the farmers!
- GTAcrimelord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Lmao, I just love the two links on the top of this comment page: www.Ige.com and www.wgseller.com. Gotta love irony.
- bardly, on 09/15/2008, -0/+1Why cheat for gold, when you can make it yourself.. I use these free gold guides http://extremewowguides.com
- infra172, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The problem with most anti-cheating measures is that they usually catch the most moderate cheaters first. Ask anybody who's ever played any game with Punkbuster. The result is a game with fewer cheaters but a less even playing field.
- SilentSpyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cheating on a single player console game is one thing, because your only cheating yourself. Online it's a diffrent deal. It's like using steroids in baseball. It's been about two years since I've been off Blizzard (I was an addict) and I'm getting along okay. Anyway, I always liked it when they did the banning.
- Binaryzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0about time, and more are needed, the exploits in the "Battle Grounds" are insane...
- Superfluous, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good job blizzard.
- richeyal, on 04/14/2008, -0/+0do u have any trouble in getting gold or upgrade
your power leveling ? if u do :)you can visit the
website on http://www.gamers777.com/ to get know how i work - pdavis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What I would like to know is what activities is Blizzard acting upon? Are they banning people for cursing? Are they banning people for farming for their mounts? Are they banning people for buy or selling gold? Is Blizzard taking lesser actions as well such as limited suspensions?
- NailToTheX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ban the cheaters... they will just have to get more cleaver...
I like it. - PrometheuZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Problem with cheating is Blizzard knows that if they allow them to get away with it, it'll innevitably lead to less new customers. Good move on their part. Try embezzling from your place of work and see what happens if you get caught..lol.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0most cheaters are probably making a fortune selling items on Ebay.
- fragnificent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is why Blizzard is one of my favorite companies.. they actually work on their games and ladder systems very hard
- RabidFurby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ban them all. Not just 1500. Out of 3 million +, there are sure more than that. BAN THOSE IDIOTS! +digg
- ska_geek517, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now I don't fully understand this. Ok I get the part about the buying gold. I get the buying and dumping items. And I totally get the thing about buy and trading accounts, and characters. But what about using mods? I use this one MOD, that when you open one of your bags it shows all of the contents of all your bags. I like it a lot. Does this mean that I will be wiped from the server? I hope some one can shed some light on this subject.
- Draconiko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Glad they really try to keep the games clean and fair
- Asylus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good move by Blizzard. Look at Everquest, with Macroquest people are even duping items, it's a mess.
- kingfoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0GOOD.
- ppfaceaaron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0go bliz, fawk all those cheating bastards. play the game how its meant to be played...
- j0keR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Chances are they just banned the people who AREN'T affecting your gameplay at all. Game companies are horrible, and just ban the overly obvious people doing things like duping items or whatever. (Which is a glitch, and actually a part of the GAME. Not a modification of it). Long live the private servers.
- GTAcrimelord, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"This still doesn't stop all the Ching-Chong farmers out there that do nothing but farm gold and sell it online. I do have to agree that those that use exploits should be banned."
Wow, welcome to racistville. Population: at least one. - thatsiebguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0pwned

Wow, welcome to racistville. Population: at least one.
i live there, population at least 2 - Nightfall, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1This still doesn't stop all the Ching-Chong farmers out there that do nothing but farm gold and sell it online. I do have to agree that those that use exploits should be banned.
- dmatrix445, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0WSG exploits totaly suck....you should really ban gay gold farmers too...sure infalting server is no big deal /sigh /ponder
- quasipalm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Ching-Chong? What a ridiculously racist comment. (For the record, try to make your racist slurs SHORTER than the actual proper term -- otherwise it's just silly. Unless the term is already really short itself, a la jews.) ;-)
Besides, with China's new 3 hour MMORPG cap, you shouldn't have to worry. - socket, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1CHING-CHONG farmers!@#!@ LOLOLOLOOROFLROFLROFLROFL!@#
- doofus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0As a long time and avid cheater I call for a Blizzard boycott.
