Blizzard Working on "Next-Gen MMO"?
kotaku.com — Blizzard added three new positions on their job openings page yesterday for a "next-gen MMO."
- 733 diggs
- digg it
- Cooldrew, on 10/12/2007, -44/+5Incoming fanboys in 3...2...1...
- thepompano, on 10/12/2007, -2/+49Nope, the fanboys are all playing World of Warcraft right now.
- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -4/+44They'll probably just put out another expansion instead. World of Warcraft: The Quest for More Money expansion pack. It'll be known as WoW:TQFMM
- fkr3, on 10/12/2007, -5/+43I wish they'd let the MMO thing go for a while and focus on games you don't have to buy *and* rent to play.
- emjaymj, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Well, seeing as they said they're going to announce a new game in a month, they're probably saying this so that people don't realize it's Starcraft 2!
- DiggingDeep, on 10/12/2007, -2/+33Where's Starcraft Ghost?
Oh, must be cloaked. - unibomber999, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6Some sort of modern warfare, or city gang themed MMO would be cool. I get sick of all the wizard and starship crap out there.
In fact, a GTA MMO would be pretty badass. - foooey, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2@unibomber999
Check out http://www.apb.com/
By the guys that created GTA and Crackdown - VipeNess, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6From my understanding... this is related to a new ip they were working on, but to the frontpage news about starcraft 2 might just be starcraft 2 only... or maybe an mmo related to starcraft universe... also on blizzard's site, they have been advertising they are looking for people to work on the un-disclosed mmo.
But you might want to think this.. with the stats showing that i think it was
4 million users for warcraft rts
and 9 million users for starcraft rts
9 million for warcraft mmo
??? million for a starcraft mmo..
they might be doing a starcraft mmo because the numbers might be promising to them. who knows... may 19th is right around the corner. - EndersGame, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2I am going to be pissed if it isn't related to StarCraft. Release StartCraft 2, or Ghost, or something StarCraft damn it. Otherwise ***** YOU
- chingy1788, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12I'm going to be pissed if Starcraft 2 is going to be an MMORPG
Why?
----Seven Reasons why Starcraft 2 should not be an MMORPG----
1. I am against mindless drones playing 16 hours a day on WoW... now either I am going to become one of those mindless drones or I will miss out on starcraft...
2. I want starcraft 2 in its strategy form since I do want to play Starcraft Strategy online with more opponents than Starcraft 1 now, think of all the new Custom Maps as well
3. I am a uni student MMORPGing around would not be a good idea, It is better to play shorter strategy games than an 8 - 16 hour long haul MMORPG hit...
4. Strategy games require thinking skills, thats why its called strategy, MMORPGs are just mindless quest solving (killing things, doing things you are told) and killing more things to level... leveling requires dang near no skill, you can get to lvl 70 in less than a day or it may take you a year its still level 70
5. After being a mindless drone myself on maple story... fortunately not during Uni... I would have to Say I have wasted quite a few hours of my life... better spent doing many other things... after the repetitive-ness of maple story, i find that WoW (trial) is just as boring... played up to lvl 5 a then left, also the community on the servers are bad, everyone is against newbs, no help whatsoever...
6. Due to the non "strateginess" of an MMORPG starcraft 2 in MMORPG form, I think, will not take on in Korea, they want strategy more than the starcraft storyline, thats why they play multiplayer starcraft in competitions, not seeing who can ramp through the full SC and BW single player mode the fastest
7. Since we will probably be dealing with guns, Jack Thompson will be forcing his mouth in to stop starcraft 2, and we don't want that guy to open his mouth, ever
of course, if they make Starcraft 2 in strategy form and a starcraft based MMORPG then I don't mind
Just cant only be Starcraft based MMORPG alone and No Starcraft 2 in strategy- mneinast, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Have you not seen the vids of starcraft 2 gameplay? It's definitely an RTS.
- Droniac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Due to the non "strateginess" of an MMORPG starcraft 2 in MMORPG form, I think, will not take on in Korea, they want strategy more than the starcraft storyline, thats why they play multiplayer starcraft in competitions, not seeing who can ramp through the full SC and BW single player mode the fastest"
Never played Guild Wars did you? - chingy1788, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"After being a mindless drone myself on maple story..."
I dont think I would want to play another MMORPG
- MGB855, on 10/12/2007, -13/+15World(Universe?) of Starcraft FTW!
- Obliterator, on 10/12/2007, -9/+18If they are indeed making a Starcraft MMORPG, I will not buy it. They should keep it as an RTS like the first one (and expansion).
- ScornForSega, on 10/12/2007, -11/+33World of Diablo, plz.
- bob_the_alien, on 10/12/2007, -10/+4yes, a Diablo MMORPG, that's what I've been waiting for, it would be the first MMO would actually play, pay for even. lol
- AirRaven, on 10/12/2007, -11/+7Do you *want* them to effectively kill the StarCraft franchise as they have done to Warcraft already?
As far as WC's concerned now, the RTS genre is dead to it. You'd see the same thing happen to SC too if an MMO went forward. - Ayatollah, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5hmmm, why not a new IP? Do you have *no* confidence in Blizzard's ability to come up with some new?
Yeah, and Diablo 3 isn't happening (what more could it be then a rehash of WoW? WoW is the spiritual successor of DII anyway, most of the same spells and concepts)...get Hellgate: London for your Diablo fix please... - fatdog789, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4WoS only if we can play as zerglings. Otherwise its just not worth it.
- Iknockstuffdown, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14The Lost Vikings ONLINE
- fkr3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Diablo 3 rumours have been kicking around for ~2 years now ... and there's nothing to show for any of it. Not even a leaked screenshot.
- CannedMango, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9@scornforsega
"World of Diablo, plz."
WoW included so many Diablo elements (i.e. the skill trees, the inventory style, the potions), that I consider it a Warcraft-Diablo hybrid.
Starcraft MMO is the way to go... except that after breaking my WoW addiction, I don't think i'd tempt fate and start playing WoS. - sagelink, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@AirRaven
Blizzard did not kill the Warcraft franchise. Just because you don't like a game doesn't mean your opinions are indeed facts. I know plenty of people who enjoy WC3 and WoW just as well (me included).
However I really do wish that they would make a Starcraft 2, or at least release Starcraft: Ghost. - mustafya, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@ayatollah
They have yet to come up with anything that groundbreaking. Warcraft was originally Warhammer Fantasy ip until GW rejected it back in the day. Starcraft is a quite obvious ripoff of WH:40k. WoW is an amalgation of the good things about the MMORPGs out at the time. It is not a next-gen MMO in my opinion seeing as how almost everything in it was already around. So yes, I do doubt Blizzard's ability to come up with something new. - darthsuo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@mustafya
It depends on what you call ground-breaking. Starcraft wasn't incredibly innovative in terms of story or even gameplay. But the reason everyone still plays it is because they polished it to a blinding glare and kept giving post-release support for balancing. Same with WoW; it basically took the MMO market and perfected it. So yeah, maybe Blizzard won't have an original IP, but the game they make sure will be good. - Psykus2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nobody is going to play more than one MMO at a time. I know I wouldn't. That's why I hope (and think) that if it's Starcraft, it's Starcraft 2, pure RTS. A Starcraft MMO would detract so much from WoW at this point..maybe they'll do it in the far future if WoW ever dies down, but when they *just* released an expansion pack for WoW, I don't see it happening.
- mneinast, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You're right. Nobody will play more than one MMO at a time. I don't think Blizzard should wait until WoW dies down, though, because that would give an opportunity to competing MMOs. If Blizzard times everything right, it should be able to release MMO2 (whatever it is) when its WoW players are just bored enough to switch, but not bored enough to quit Blizzard altogether and move on to some other company's game.
- FearMEiDEA, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Better yet, a high level MMORPG where you could have characters from WoW, the upcoming World of Starcraft, and the upcoming World of Diablo all meet up.
Orc Hunter vs Zerg Zergling FTW!- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"This is not Warcraft in space"
- bstew22, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2@obliterator.
Oh you'll buy it.... just like the people who 'quit' wow......... 45 different times. - StellarlyAstral, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2New Diablo imo.
- ChristianBk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11I see "next-gen" for an MMO meaning "prettier-looking typical MMO with same gameplay elements."
- MisterFlaut, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Nah. For other companies, maybe, but everything blizzard makes is quality.
You if they say next-gen MMO, expect it to be something you've never seen. Just like WoW was when it first came out. - chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1LoL, WoW wasn't anything new by a long shot. Try lineage2.com AND the graphics are better...
- MisterFlaut, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Nah. For other companies, maybe, but everything blizzard makes is quality.
- xutopia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I hope they return to their sources with the release of Starcraft. I actually really enjoyed the strategy games a whole lot more than I do MMORPGS. Actually I think MMORPGS are inherently doomed. They require way too much time and commitment to be "good" at them. Just look at wowdetox.com to see what I mean.
- JamesKeenan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'm not so sure I approve. Wasn't a big issue with the current Blizzard development team something about all the most competent developers, who made Starcraft the RTS gem it is now, leaving for Arenanet? I'm pretty sure ArenaNet is all the former major Blizzard developers. So with this possibly inadeuqate team developing Starcraft 2 and a following game probably based in the Starcraft universe. (Because Diablo would be too close to Warcraft, and I doubt they'd make something new when Starcraft would sell just fine)
Am I wrong? I completely accept that I may be. (I only hope people consider what I said as contemplative instead of insulting, so they don't unnecessarily digg me down.)- bmc152006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2exactly what i was thinking, world of diablo would be WoW + Demons
- x3style, on 01/10/2008, -0/+0And since wow already has demons i don't see the point of your comparison.
That just sounds like WoW(With Demons) + Demons isn't that like WoW+2xDemons ;/
Diablo was always different even if they used same character like goblins they where different.
- x3style, on 01/10/2008, -0/+0And since wow already has demons i don't see the point of your comparison.
- Arcadian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Diablo isn't too close to Warcraft. They could easily exist side by side - and in fact, have existed side by side. Diablo is grim and gritty fantasy, Warcraft is more on the cartoony side. A lot of people, who don't actually play World of Warcraft (anymore) would love to try out Diablo III.
- bmc152006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i do like the idea of a rated mature World of Diablo if they went in that direction...
- bmc152006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2exactly what i was thinking, world of diablo would be WoW + Demons
- JaYBrooks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Its Blizzard... Those guys are perfectionists... it will take years to get an idea of something going just to be scrapped for a better rendering engine... (D2) Starcraft MMO that would be cool but again... it will be years in the making....
- Raisedshoulder, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Great. It was tough quitting WoW for me. Now they are giving me another game to get addicted to.
- wazzledoozle2, on 10/12/2007, -14/+8I played WoW twice... on free trial cards. It sucked both times. They better not go and bastardize the starcraft universe now...
- mroffroad, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3your just stupid.
- goldenratio, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2mroffroad: Actually, you are the stupid one. You should have used "you're" and not "your". The latter word is a possessive pronoun, and it is grammatically incorrect to use it as a contracted form of "you are".
- 2Deluxe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Actually, ya'll are both asshats :D
- haemonculasx, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Blizzard seems to be trying new things (WOW and Starcraft Ghost), maybe they will surprise us with something entirely new. Maybe an entirely new franchise.
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Yeah. Starcraft Ghost was awesome, too.
From that opening sequence through to the last level. Amazing. And the plot twists? I was getting whiplash from the way that sucker spun story at me! The best part was the whole metafictional aspect of the game where it turns out that it doesn't exist and was cancelled and we'll never get to play it ever! SWEET!
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Yeah. Starcraft Ghost was awesome, too.
- naes341, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Cool, now south park can make another great episode.
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Well, OXM did recently insist that WoW was coming to the 360.
Not that I believe it for a goddam heartbeat. - fungusmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Next-generation is not the same thing as "console", it just means the "next generation" of hardware.
Also, after reading the article on bleepinggeek.com I have to agree that they are probably working on Diablo 3. - xShad0w, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5Better not mess up SC2 before it even comes out, gay ass mmorpg, GO RTS WOOT
- hmmdar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Starcraft FPS would rock
- relic2279, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I've been playing online roleplaying games since early 90's... MUDS anyone? There are still a few open. I've played guildwars but thats about it. I will not pay a monthly-yearly fee to play a game that I have to buy anyways. If guild wars can successfully do it for free, why can't blizzard.
It's obviously about the almighty buck but common.... If your going to charge monthly, why not give the game away free then.
LONG LIVE ROP. LONG LIVE MUDS.... The orginal mmorpg- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree. One game I got with macaddict way back in the day was lineage and the game was free with a free 30 day trial. I played that fregin game for 6-7 years... it cost about 12 per month and constantly got upgrades and events for holidays or (just because) that kept the game fun, interesting, and growing. What kind of crap is it to charge customers for an expansion of a game that you already pay a monthly fee for? I'm not paying the monthly fee for you to sit on your ass, I'm paying it so you will maintain the game I already play! I can't even think of anyone who has done this at all aside from them. It would be one thing if they had a product so unlike anything else out that you just had to have it, but they don't, nor have they ever. Try lineage2, and EQ2 not to mention about a hundred other albiet less well done titles of the genre that were out long before them.
I'd be willing to bet that this trend toward corporate greed probably has something to do with why their original developers have jumped ship to make Hellgate and Mythos.
I remember the reason why people liked blizzard is because you'd go to their site and wind up seeing family photos and *****. Like they were real people. AND they had a moto "games for gamers by gamers".
I think for the genre that WoW is well done, but certainly not the best out graphically or in means of fluidity of motion in game play.
The promises of "Next Gen" anything are almost always a let down.
- chijim70, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree. One game I got with macaddict way back in the day was lineage and the game was free with a free 30 day trial. - Uoila, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Why is this headline worded like a question? OF COURSE they are working on a next gen MMO ... WOW is so hugely successful, why wouldn't they?
..... "Microsoft working on the next version of windows???" - MrFatalistic, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Blizzard is dead to me.
and ***** anyone who thinks it would be cute to do anything other than an RTS. Tell me some people still know what Starcraft should be...restore my faith in humanity to some extent.- haemonculasx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I agree with you. Starcraft should remain an RTS. But I would be highly disappointed if they released Starcraft 2 with nothing more than fancy graphics and a few new characters. RTS games have not changed in years. Hopefully the genre can be reinvented.
- oldJimSteele, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2If it isn't D3 I will throw a tantrum.
- Smeed, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3If their idol Kevin Rose admitted to liking WoW the anti-wow fanboys would be flaming a whole different tune right now.
- venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Yeah, the anti-wow fanboys who idolize Kevin Rose would probably stop idolizing him. Their opinion about WoW probably wouldn't change--because WoW sucks.
- ElbridgeGerry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Yes, because every Digg user carries Kevin Rose as an idol.
- Smeed, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1They do though. Except for ElbridgeGerry and I. Maybe anicejew as well
- venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@SMeeD
Frankly I can't stand the people who seem to be in love with Kevin Rose, and I don't give a ***** about him at all. And as you can see I: 1) Am a Digg user. 2) Dislike WoW (Which I guess makes me an "anti-WoW fanboy"). So there.
- Ender2007, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I would put my money on a World of Starcraft type game, but I have my fingers crossed for a Diablo MMO because it would kick so much ass. I hate the "pay to play" games as much as the next guy, but WoW pulled me in and I was addicted for a while and am about to dive right back in. If they get either a Starcraft or Diablo MMO up and running, I will be one of the first in line.
- venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5A Diablo MMO would be too close to WoW. Though Diablo is darker, two fantasy MMO's at the same time would be counterproductive to the cash cow that Blizzard cares about above all else these days.
- reylor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3World of Warcraft already incorporates a lot of the elements of D2, take the talent trees for example. Socketed Items. Secret Cow Level (Thunder Bluff). I mean, c'mon :-P
- xmuzik, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Wow360
- ColonelJessup, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Somebody call for an exterminator?
- JArrodIsCool, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1D3 rumors were going wild a couple months ago. A lot of talk to was that it was moving to MMO. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it turned out to be D3.
I love D2Lod, still play it every once in awhile. Hated WoW, I only played on those free trial things.. never even lvled once. If it turns out it is D3, I might just have to buy and see what it is like.- Tokkii, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I'm sorry, since it takes all of 3 seconds to go to level 2 in WoW, I have a hard time believing that. WoW is made for kids so if you couldn't master what a 5 year old can, I have to think you must have no arms or are functionally retarded. If you don't like it for whatever reason that's fine, but please don't lie to make a point.
- sneezachoo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I think Blizzard is not riding a wave of MMORPG success the MMORPG genre is riding a wave of blizzard success. That is to say, just because they did so well with WOW does not mean that it is their best. I think they will continue to make great games. Even if that means potential games get the axe... like Starcraft Ghost. They have high standards.
- venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, I think Blizzard just made a high profile MMORPG and is riding the cash cow, and at the same time milking it for all it's worth.
- hectavex, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Better be a Diablo MMO!
-non ***** servers
-solo or group based play (***** raids, waiting on other people, and associating with 40 stupid kids in voice chat)
-content patches with new dungeons, runewords, loot, etc.
-no cheesy targeting systems, just hit whoever gets in the way
-mercenaries
-Horadric crafting
-PVP anywhere except town
-Matt Uelmen soundtrack
-secret cow levels - Brittania, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sorry, but chances are its just for the next expansion which they have already said will feature a lvl cap of lvl 75.
They also have been having a bit of turn over in the company for employment.
Expect StarCraft to be an RTS as it should be. They proved that with Ghost. It was terrible.- Brittania, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I forgot to mention this before, I do play WoW. I started because I wanted to lead off of WC3 and I do like the lore. The only way to experience to full extent of lore in my eyes is to raid. No matter how buggy raid encounters are and how stupid it is to balance everything around PvP I stick with it because I have been a Warcraft fan for years, and hell... I eventually want to kill Arthas.
For StarCraft, Ghost was crap. I played it at Gencon a few years back and there is a reason they scrapped it. The game should stick to it origins of an rts. I would love to play the new zerg/protoss hybrid race.
As for Diablo, I want another one, spending countless nights on D2 in high school was supreme. I still get a few of my buddies together and bring the game out for nostalgia.
Let's just hope Blizz doesn't make the next SC a turd.
- Brittania, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I forgot to mention this before, I do play WoW. I started because I wanted to lead off of WC3 and I do like the lore. - mortigon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I will be so pissed if this is what they are announcing soon. We don't need anymore MMO's... We need Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2!
- Unclekoolaid, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1WoW on Wii ZOMG!Wii60 FTW!!
- plnegative1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I would be a lot less pissed over a Starcraft MMORPG if it was free. (I would still be pissed it wasn't Starcraft 2, though), If I have to pay anything beyond purchasing the game initially I am boycotting whatever the game is they are announcing. Ridiculous.
- mortigon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Exactly... subscription based games are terrible. The whole game is about avoiding the actual end of the game, keep people coming back for more, and drain their pockets into the companies pockets.
The games are so repetitive it's ridiculous. Just hard to have fun when everything feels like a competition to "level up", and the fact that you are paying for every second you play is stuck in the back of your head.
- mortigon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Exactly... subscription based games are terrible. The whole game is about avoiding the actual end of the game, keep people coming back for more, and drain their pockets into the companies pockets.
- cliffyboro, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1next gen WoW?
- Beatmiser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The new MMO is going to be comprised soley of material that you can only do with 70 other individuals in a coreographed concert of timed button mashing and irate yells over ventrillo. At the end of each encounter an item will drop that will only be of use to Michael J. Fox, who will, in the course of the game descriptions be the all encompassing evil that will threaten your group every ten minutes.
You heard it here first. - specialbus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Surely what they need to do is to make sure it can be used by basic laptop systems without great graphics systems
- kaddar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Dear Jesus,
Please don't let Diablo 3 become a massive multiplayer online pay-for-account game.
I enjoy diablo 2 for its casual player-centered, as opposed to community-centered, aspects. I enjoy feeling like I am the one true hero destined to defeat my antithesis, Diablo, lord of hell. I enjoy diablo as a small, group based game which I can beat, conclude, and continue on with my life, only to come back months later to replay from the beginning as I chose, without having to keep my account open.
Diablo 2 is also very much a social aspect between somewhat casual gamers in real life.
Your fan,
kaddar

Dear kaddar
I'm not a game developer dude.
Much love,
Jesus - kaddar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Also, I know this isn't relevant, but It would be a weird sort of irony if they made a diablo based real time strategy game.
Warcraft RTS -> warcraft MMORPG
Diablo RPG -> Diablo RTS?- mortigon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It would be too similar to a lot of other RTS's out there... humans vs demons.
There also isnt too much room for multiple races either.
It just wouldn't fit into the storyline.
Diablo 3 is what we need... but who's the enemy?
- mortigon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It would be too similar to a lot of other RTS's out there... humans vs demons.
- dragonking6v, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't want another pay to play game. Give us diablo II mmo style, spice it up, and call it diablo III. There's no need for a monthly fee.
- Unclekoolaid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1And Ill use this to play it! www.thextrahand.com

They are making 1.1G/year (8Million users *12$ per month*12 months). They have more than 100 servers worldwide ready to handle more traffic. They have been hiring Oracle DBAS, for months...
Whatever they are cooking, get ready for the most massive videogame ever created and imo Diablo is not "deep" enough to be an MMO. It would be too much Wow-like when we already know the final boss would be Diablo after the 3rd Expansion Mephisto, Baal then Diablo or something like that...
With starcraft, you have the Terrans, Zergs, Protoss, Xel'Nagas, Kerrigan and her brood, etc.. - popezaphod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I want the thousands of hours I put into WoW back.
- mykos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Blackthorne Online! Naw, it'll probably be Starcraft, but a guy can dream.
- JsXtehj0o, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hmm blizzard's idea of an mmorpg is a grindfest... yay... a new grindfest
i pray for warhammer to be awesome... - mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Its probably Diablo.
- fLUx1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5To sum it all up:
1. A new MMO is going to be made....
2. There are plans to revisit the Starcraft Franchise....
3. They are going to announce a "New Game" in KOREA - the craziest country about Starcraft on this Planet....
Why the hell WOULDNT it be Starcraft?!
WoS (World of Starcraft) would be twice as popular as WoW in Korea, and proberly the world!!
We will see soon in may!! - PepeGSay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I think that they are announcing this to stave off the masses leaving WoW or getting excited for other games. They are probably many many years away from anything solid.
