With this new MMO i don't expect it to be out for another 2-3 years, by then WOW would have been out for quiet a while and it would be a good time for Blizzard to release something a bit newer and updated.

Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, and even Lost Vikings, are all excellent franchises and if this new MMO is original, other game companies are screwed. Just the other day, the Crysis guys were bitching about piracy being the reason they aren't making money, but you don't hear any of that ***** from Blizzard. I think making ***** games might have a lot to do with their money woes. Yes they have "Ultra-realistic Graphcs that will Blow Up Your PC!!" but if you polish a turd, you just end up with shiny *****. I can't wait to see what the new game will be.

That would mean Blizzard would have two MMO's on the market competing with eachother. People would most likely not buy both. Personally, I think this would happen only when WoW starts to make a large downturn.. and those days are still far off.

An environment like that would be new, different and offer lots of opportunities for innovation in the main stream MMO genre.

While you have developers like Crytek whining about how "weak" the PC market is, Blizzard is hedging their bets against such an attitude and throwing their full force into the very much alive and ripe PC market. If one of, if not the best, developers in gaming ever, is doing this, what does it say to how fragile the PC market is?
