- TalkingBanana, on 10/10/2007, -3/+35Bioshock: Digg's new iPhone? No complaints here, I am definately getting this.
- TheFoundry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com
- codered1322, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Easy? Who the hell plays on easy?
- retral, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Halo 3's going to have to be good to put bioshock down.
- ClarkLab, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11those are some crazy screenshots
- reed311, on 10/10/2007, -5/+15You would think that Digg is sponsored by Bioshock with all these articles.
- Prokaryote, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11All these Bioshock stories are probably going to result in jerks posting spoilers from the game everywhere.
"Snape kills Andrew Ryan!"
Also, someone needs to send this game to Ebert. - ReCkLeSsX, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9A bunch of Toys R Us's released it early and those that were lucky enough got a chance to purchase it.
- BugMeNot2, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Yes, BioShock is really that good. It doesn't do much that hasn't been done before (on the PC, at least), but that doesn't matter because BioShock is a phenomenal game.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11but Halo sucks..
- brisance, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8http://www.primotechnology.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/bioshock7.jpg
It's not possible for the revolver to be cocked and discharging a round at the same time, even for double-action. - nublet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7don't you wish.
- Salgat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Is Bioshock actually that good or is it all hype? Don't digg me down for this, I really want to know, its a legitimate question. I haven't seen anything new or revolutionary in Bioshock and there seems to be only one type of monster that is being displayed whenever bioshock is mentioned.
- dantidote, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10Just beat it, its pretty amazing. I suggest NOT to play on easy tho, I blew through it in 10 hours.
- TrevorBelmont, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Bioshock is people!!!
- lament, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6the PC version will probably have a *****-ton more graphics options to tweak to fit every system.
- Pifman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7God I can't wait to play this game, yeah those are some crazy screenshots.
- ohmuffin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7those are pretty hot, awesome writeup as well
- banz23, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5It's really that good! I've played the demo through probably a dozen times and would highly recommend trying it. I can't wait until this game is released. I'm looking forward to this game more than halo 3.
- ThE0eNiGmA, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5That was so incoherent I don't even know where to begin. Regardless, I had to point one little flaw in all that sludge: Bioshock does not have multiplayer.
- painted82, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Yeah respawns happen all the time. It's not too bad tho cuz you can hear the enemies before you encounter them. Plus it's a good way to earn cash and items when you are running low.
- askjeffro, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Anyone find a definitive review/article that suggests the PC version over the 360 or vice versa? Usually the PC version is the way to go, but I've been unable to track down specific version differences, if any. Thanks.
- EmperorAwesome, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I'm still on the fence, cause I heard there's some instances of respawning enemies, which will ruin ANY game for me, it destroyed ninja gaiden. I'm sure some people enjoy that, but I need a sense of accomplishment that only comes with standing peacefully in a cleared out area. The reviews I've read don't say much of anything about the respawning, as they probably don't see it as an issue, but considering that's a make/break topic for me, would you care to elaborate on it?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5BioShock FTW!
- Wartz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Funny how its only the Halo Crack addicts who are bashing bioshock, odd.
- ch0pst1cks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Sorry but "the papers" don't report on games unless it's for the worst.
- pattherat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4You sir, must live under a rock....
Toys 'R Us famously (and quite well documented here on Digg) released the game too early at some stores... - Derelict267, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Bioshock is really an amazing game and I'll probably finish it tomorrow. It's not just an ordinary FPS. It's a First Person Adventure, sort of like Metroid Prime.
But be careful with how much time you spend playing it depending on if you have a defective 360 or not. It really pushes the GPU hard and mine over-heated. I couldn't even turn it on today without getting the 3/4 red ring of death a few times until i waited a while and shook the case around gently before trying it again to turn it on. I may end up buying some Arctic Silver 5 and putting it on the GPU after putting my 360 through Bioshock. I never had any problems with my console at all until this game and I bought my 360 at launch.
Still it's an amazing game and Halo 3 is in a different category of shooters than this game and I doubt it will do better than Bioshock (in ratings, not sales). In my opinion Bioshock is the best game so far released for the Xbox 360 hands down. - Squishy3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3PC version'll run a bit better than the 360 version (Like Oblivion and C&C3), since the 360 isn't able to run above recommended settings, if I recall correctly.
Still, you need a pretty decent PC to be able to run Bioshock effectively. - knodi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3this game is truly amazing. I just got done beating it. I can play this game over and over again for so long.
- unblessed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I have been playing this for only a day and it is worth the hype it is getting
- hadak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Can we stop digging wordpress please? We already know it doesn't hold up...
- Kratisto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'd be happy with a PC DEMO cough cough to try it out for myself.
- supersaw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I don't think i've been wanting to play a game this much since HL2
- ReCkLeSsX, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Digg is run by the userbase, right?
So don't all these stories say something...?
Yeah, Digg likes BioShock. And for good reason. - xino, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Same here when only looking at the single player of Halo 3 compared to Bioshock.
- bagboyrebel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Based on the demo I would say that this probably doesn't happen (except for security drones), but I could be wrong since I haven't played the entire game yet.
- Squeetard, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2IGN has a review up of the pc and x360. They give the pc version the edge for the controls and extra eye candy.
- xino, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Halo sucks compared to Bioshock when you are only looking at the single player aspect of Halo. The multiplayer rocks in 2 and 3 (from what I played in the beta). I hate when people compare a single player only game to a single player and multiplayer game as a whole because then the argument shifts from game vs another game to single player gaming in general to multiplayer gaming in general although the ones arguing might not realize that's what's actually going on. The only thing that I see right now that Halo 3 campaign has over Bioshock is the online co-op.

- endlessoul, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah, but if you see the achievement list, you'd see plot points you normally wouldn't want to see.
I almost regret looking.
Almost. - crazihouse, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Sudden.. urge.. to use wrench.
- IMADV8, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4It was uploaded a couple days ago, to boot.
- Squishy3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Some EBGames/Gamestops and Toys R US ended up selling the game early because they weren't told they shouldn't sell it.
- kiduk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I really wish I could handle scary games, not that I get scared but I think it's my adreneline that makes me shake a lot. Sucks, I usually have to take a pretty long break.
- jordanlund, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3There's nothing in the first 3 paragraphs that's not disclosed in the first 10 minutes of the demo. Nothing even remotely close to a spoiler.
- gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I am sure they will both be great in their own way. Bioshock was a pleasant surprise though. Comon Tuesday :-)
I know I am just going to want to walk around and gawk, this thing looks so good. - bagboyrebel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1dug down for two reasons:
1. There are no spoilers
2. You signed your post - Hoinah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Its... a.... Game. Repeat with me: Its ... a.... Game.
