- lionbeat, on 08/06/2008, -4/+20Where's Hancock? And we need more women superheroes... sexy beasts....
- xsecretfiles, on 08/06/2008, -0/+2There was no Video game for it...I know very confusing title........
- ParthShah, on 08/06/2008, -1/+26Not a big videogame guy, but the one about Wolverine was funny. I think developers need to remember that people buy videogames not just becuase of entertainment, but because of the characters as well. They want challenge, not the same games disguised with different characters.
- macweirdo42, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1You hit the nail on the head right there. If I buy a Wolverine video game, it's because I want to play as Wolverine. I don't really feel much like Wolverine if I can't slash doors open.
I really feel that, despite its faults, Spider-Man 2 was really a step in the right direction for superhero games. The designers understood that the appeal of a Spider-Man game is swinging around New York, climbing up walls, you know - doing the stuff that Spider-Man does. The formula definitely needs tweaking, and I think that the upcoming Web of Shadows game will do well in that regard (balancing the free-roaming web-slinging with a compelling, cohesive story to tie everything together, I think, will really help). But yeah, more developers need to keep that in mind.- Strungout, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1I agree with you. The only real downfall of Spider Man 2 was that were limited to doing the same ***** over and over. The game's a blast once you unlock all of Spidey's web slinging moves, you actually felt like Spider Man tear-assing through Manhatten.

- rolandvvv, on 08/06/2008, -0/+14A gamesradar article that doesn't use the "sexy fan art" as the thumbnail image? BLASPHEMY.
- Coffeedemon, on 08/06/2008, -0/+5That creepy picture of Cloud in a bustier?
- AvangionQ, on 08/06/2008, -1/+8Yeah, this ticks me off to no end -- when video games designers seemingly intentionally ignore or bypass a character's stated powers and ruin the character immersion ...
- AchaIemoipas, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1Is there a game out there that doesn't do that, though?
I played a lot of them and there's always something important missing, or they do everything they're supposed to but half-assed and weak.
My last attempt at playing a super hero game was Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
After that piece of crap, I just gave up on the genre completely. - fanclerks, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1That's assuming that the programmers know anything at all about the characters they're creating a game for. I'm sure there are some of the hardcore geek programmers that know the characters, but I'm sure most have only the slightest idea of what the heroes powers or history is at all.

No way, MUA was a kick ass game, its among the best hero games in the past 5 years. It had its faults of course, like no flight on Invisible Woman....or the fact that they had to make Thor 20x weaker...or the fact that Blade was useless...

- skel, on 08/06/2008, -3/+2buried as lame, how the hell all these crap link can be digged ?
- SneakyNinja, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1I played many of these games and I agree. It's sad when you are attempting to play as a world famous superhero only to find out it's just another lame game with a superhero skin. I think the bar has been raised as of late, but there have certainly been some terrible games in the past.
- rmeddy, on 08/06/2008, -0/+1I thought this was an article connecting Ayn Rand's objectivism to the The Incredibles.
- TommyHigh, on 08/07/2008, -0/+0Buried because its gamesradar... seriously!? who do they think they are?!
- irishjays, on 08/07/2008, -0/+0Can we get a movie version? For example in the craptastic Xmen 3, why didn't magneto and phoenix attack at the same time as the rest of the minions, magneto even stopped one of the higher powered mutants from even trying. I wanted to walk out.
