I thought MW2 would be one of the low points, at least from a PC perspective.
That being said...***** YOU INFINITY WARD. - Jikul, on 11/10/2009, -4/+80Wrong. Dragon Age is amazing, just ***** THE AD!
- jordanmoore, on 11/10/2009, -0/+59I'd rather a delayed Bioshock than a ***** sequel.
- readme, on 11/10/2009, -4/+46lol @ at the obvious 360 fanboy troll of the Netflix streaming on the PS3. Yeah it will be nice once it's built into XMB but there's nothing wrong with the quality or speed. Total BS on GameDaily's part.
- Ender1, on 11/10/2009, -6/+39MW2 should be the most disappointing PC game of ALL TIME.
- phpirate, on 11/10/2009, -3/+33The *****? MW2 as a high point?
- Khuuftw, on 11/10/2009, -9/+37Yeah, no console, no lean, no dedicated servers, max now 18 insteaed of original 64.
Oh yeah, if you play console and have no idea what console, lean, or dedicated servers are...
google.com
Console gamers have never played a game 32 vs 32 so @puppytwo, some people prefer the computer version of games too.
Try playing battlefield 2 9 vs 9, its boring as *****. Or do they even offer the 64 man-size maps on console? - dfross, on 11/10/2009, -13/+40If they prefer to play FPS on console, they don't have the coordination to use the mouse/keyboard interface.
- Puppytwo, on 11/10/2009, -3/+28Duke Nukem would have been such a good ***** game
- Spire3660, on 11/10/2009, -1/+22THe Netflix on PS3 thing will get ironed out, the disc method is useful in that it addresses more then just the PS3 and is a decent stopgap until Sony gets their native Netflix app out the door
- Khuuftw, on 11/10/2009, -2/+23Here for a more detailed description of how PC got raped
http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/4069/mw2b.jpg - MuseMike, on 11/10/2009, -27/+48Don't forget ***** YOU DRAGON AGE.
- snobrder218, on 11/10/2009, -0/+18From what I've heard, Netflix is still under a contract with Microsoft for their system. The thing is, Netflix and Sony found a back-door to the contract and realized a disk-based system would not breech the contract. That's why they have to wait until next year to release a XMB-based program.
Pure speculation, but it makes sense. - Elranzer, on 11/10/2009, -1/+19Spore?
- mrand2008, on 11/10/2009, -1/+18*HL
- Dereliction, on 11/10/2009, -0/+17For $10 more you get:
* Dedicated servers
* 32 vs 32 match size (or greater if your server can handle it!)
* Excellent mod, custom map. and admin console capabilities
* Balanced competitive environment
* Anti-hack/cheat abilities (kick/ban/ignore) at will
* Smooth and fast server browser for locating servers you want to play on
Its aweso... oh, you mean MW2? No, no sorry. For $10 more you get none of those things. - TEMM, on 11/10/2009, -6/+23When people get something for free (Digg) they need to find something to bitch about, so they bitch about the ads that make it possible to get whatever it is for free. Its how the internet works. Im not sure exactly what the issue is with the ads. I can totally understand annoying ads that pop OVER what im trying to read, or block access to content until ive stared at them for long enough, but banner ads, google ads and even the Dragon Age full background ad doesnt really interfere with my reading the content of the site. Get over it.
- Sabretou, on 11/10/2009, -0/+16CoD4 for PC was great and was released in 2007. :/
- Gigglecream, on 11/10/2009, -1/+16The point is, we used to have the CHOICE of whether or not to play 32 v 32 on shipment.
- AndrewDB, on 11/10/2009, -1/+14That's DIGG doing the ads, not Bioware.
- Skyplatoon, on 11/10/2009, -1/+13Or if you use your PS3 for it's exclusives and your PC for the rest its.......YAY!
- thegiraffe, on 11/10/2009, -0/+11The worst part is the FOV is permanently locked to 60. It's nauseating. 90 is more typical for a PC game.
- Sunscreen, on 11/10/2009, -3/+13A 64 player game on shipment would actually be pretty fun. One airstrike = 32 kills.
- Soleanthia, on 11/10/2009, -3/+13@monodelasno Turn off auto-aim on your console and you'd see which is better.
- jedinate, on 11/10/2009, -0/+9This guy is complaining about having to put the disc in for Netflix streaming? I guess he would rather wait until the system update next year, to have this functionality? I'll use the disc for now, no problem, I already do it for games and DVDs...
- paulsmith288, on 11/10/2009, -1/+10"Netflix on PlayStation 3"
Thats a major major GAMING problem - ***** call the police. Just because its on a console doesn't make it a gaming issue. - gankige, on 11/10/2009, -1/+9I sincerely hope someone somewhere picks up Duke Nukem: Forever and finishes it. I would have no problem shelling out the full price for the sequel to what was such a great game.
- Lith25, on 11/10/2009, -0/+9agreed. The quality is the same as when I view it on a PC. Unless the 360 has some kind of amazing secret conversion utility, it's going to be the same quality on the 360, ps3, or pc.
- jotchie, on 11/10/2009, -2/+11monodelasno: Robert Bowling said MW2 will be the exact same as MW on twitter and on the forums. Then a few weeks ago dropped the dedicated server and mod tools bomb. Stop making up your own news.
- guitarh3ro, on 11/10/2009, -0/+9Let's not forget there is still nearly another month and a half left, a lot can happen (unfortunately), so don't rule out the possibility of more disappointments.
- dewright23, on 11/10/2009, -0/+8Personally I think Netflix on PS3 has very good video quality. Much better than me having to connect my s-video from my laptop to my tv, and I don't have to pay $60 a year for the "privilege" of viewing it through my xbox360.
FYI, no fanboy here, I have a PS3, Wii and an Xbox360 and haven't played any of them in a while, my son does. I just use the PS3 for the Bluray. - SackUSMC27, on 11/10/2009, -0/+8Yeah, I didn't get the guy's bashing of the PS3 Netflix system. It has been available a total of four days. From my experience, it seems a tad more sluggish than what an implemented solution would be, but from what I've seen on my brother-in-law's 360, their program isn't any faster. As for picture quality, I can't truly judge as I don't think I've watched anything that was listed as "HD." I've spent most of the time on Flying Circus since I had only had the pleasure of watching a few of them prior to this.
But yes, snobrder, this was solely done because (probably) Sony found a loophole in the exclusivity agreement with MS. I'm glad someone at that company is doing a good job. On the other side, though, I'm thinking a couple MS lawyers may now be out of a job. - Sabretou, on 11/10/2009, -1/+9Deus Ex: Invisible War fiercely opposes this.
- onlines, on 11/10/2009, -4/+12First and foremost. I'm a gamer. With that being said. The article (GameDaily, the site that gave Killzone 2 a 5/10 based on an E3 demo... 2 years ago) did one crucial mistake; Forgetting (doubtful) to mention the lack of exclusives for the 360 and the recent shafting to the PC community by a couple high profile games (Lack of features for MW2 and Rage). Instead, it goes ahead to only mention flaws with the PS3 and Wii. All systems in 2009 showed flaws.
Also, GameDaily loves to dock marks for lack of originality, and shortness on all games... except MW2. Money buys silence, and money buys hype. - ImTheDuke, on 11/10/2009, -3/+11I was going to get mw2 for PC but have heard nothing but bad comments about it. Whats up with it? Can't stand shooting games on consoles so if its castrated for PC then won't bother with it. Will stick with Left 4 Dead 2 instead.
- KrustyTClown, on 11/10/2009, -5/+13What? Isn't resistance 2 32 vs 32? Isn't MAG like 256 players?
Warhawk uses dedicated servers with 32 people with vehicles all operating with zero lag. Get your facts straight. - hammersuit, on 11/10/2009, -0/+7http://www.gamedaily.com/reviews/?searchQuery=kill ...
GameDaily gave 9/10 to Killzone 2. Calm down, sparky. - FallingDonkey, on 11/10/2009, -0/+7The Conduit = Most disappointing for me. More hyped for Wii than Dragon Age on Digg and the online system (the "highlight" along with customizable controls) was/is horribly broken whit a ***** invite system.
- devzor, on 11/10/2009, -0/+7gah wish i could delete that i meant MW2.
- DevinWatson, on 11/10/2009, -0/+7I vote Torchlight as a highlight of the year, almost exactly like Diablo 2 with upgraded albeit kinda cartoony graphics and new features and all for only $20 plus some awesome modding tools...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghQBj6Gfn10&hd= ... - PhairOh, on 11/10/2009, -2/+8I don't understand, why does everyone hate the ad? Does it make noise that I'm not aware of?
- sierrabravo, on 11/10/2009, -1/+73D Realms, what the ***** happened? I would have paid double price just to get Duke again...
- diggduggDOOM, on 11/10/2009, -1/+7"7334 fanboy"
You're doing it wrong. - Pawel, on 11/10/2009, -1/+7Please add MW2.
- renanrrinaldi, on 11/10/2009, -1/+7I hate this ad!
- motang, on 11/10/2009, -1/+6Can't really argue with the list it has some good points.
- onederboy, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5I assumed as much, I use a Roku player which uses the exact same interface, and I don't notice any of the issues they were hating on. I mean sometimes a show will stop in the middle and sometimes it will be of low quality, but they let you know if you're getting reduced quality, and both happen so infrequently that it's rarely ever a problem.
Still well worth the money ($100 1 time fee for the box, plus $8.00 Netflix monthly subscription) to have 140+ movies at my disposal at any given time streamed to my TV. - hellboy1975, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5Who the hell expected Terminator Salvation to be any good?
- rewnick, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5The world definitely needs another one. Duke Nukem 3D shaped my childhood. Now all I do is shoot people that look like aliens and pay strippers to show me their boobies.
