I checked three best buys in my area and none of them have any games, especially the better ones (wink waker, chibib robo, fire emblem). Good luck to everyone if you're going out, but chances are employees will get pickings first (if there is anything worth while).

- vd0man, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31Well by all accounts this is real, but you have to remember it's a clearance sale. That is to say, 99% of these games are already sold out at your local Best Buy. They're just trying to get rid of all the stragglers to make room for new stock. The Oblivion Collectors Edition price is real but remember it was a limited edition and sold out months ago. Like all the other games on this list, it's there just in the off chance that one or two BB stores out in the boonies somewhere still has a copy collecting dust on the racks.
Basically, if you find ANY of these games at your local Best Buy consider yourself lucky. I can also confirm, because my supervisor chooses me to hold the keys to the game cage in the back, that half of those games are are not in stock and the other half has no more than 10 of each in stock. Another thing i want to point out is that, because employees are told ahead of time, they tend to either "stash" them or hide them until a friend arrives whom he could give the games to.

This week is the end of the fiscal year. So they are pricing these games out to blow them out and get rid of them. They aren't advertised in the sale ad, because then they would HAVE to have them in stock. They set the prices on these games for the stores that still have any of these titles in stock sp they can get rid of them. At least half of those titles I haven't seen in stock at my local best buy in a long time.
I can already see it now, many of you will go to best buy, then complain that they don't have any. Which again, is why its not advertised in the sale ad. I went in and not only did every single worker deny any knowledge of it, every game that would have been on sale was nowhere to be found, except for one game, which just happened to have misplaced among some other games. I swore that Best Buy would never again screw me over like that. There was a whole crowd of people waiting for the opening too so somehow I doubt all employees were clueless and we didn't all invent the sale in our heads.

So three quality games for $10 = great deal.
