Best Buy ad rerates DS games as mature

joystiq.com — "Today's Best Buy flyer has overridden the ESRB and given Final Fantasy IV, Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 and MYST all "Mature" ratings."

  • ippey, on 07/20/2008, -3/+1They probably received the box artwork from the developer as a poster type image, and just threw it into a template that adds the "Nintendo DS" and ESRB rating on it to make it look like the actual game box. You can hardly even see it. Nothing to worry about.
  • IAreGamerDotCom, on 07/21/2008, -1/+3Makes sense to me. MYST's puzzle-solving action could easily overstimulate children and cause them to turn to violence, drugs, and premarital sex.
