- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+39Love Ben's work, this is no exception, "Quality!"
- oslointhesummer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19OH MY GOD! Microsoft had better get on this pronto! Seriously, who wouldn't want one of these?!
Give Ben a little commision for every one of these things they can sell...he deserves it.
Fantastic work. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17I don't think Microsoft would release a watercooled version.. too risky. I agree though, it would be super cool. :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19There is a VIDEO you know.

The thing is pretty incredible. Very well put together. - ActiveMatx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15At least this guy takes apart a Xbox 360 to actually make something useful out of it....
...not like those losers, who get donations and then just go around destorying xbox's, ipods, etc.... - NightRush, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14This guy is a ***** genious. Watch the vid to really get a feel for this amazing machine.
- MattZed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10sweet ass *****, i was impressed as hell when i saw this one.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Before the site dies... here's a mirror directory full of high-res photos of the finished product (previously only found on the last page of the site, which the digg mirror wouldn't catch):
http://portablesofdoom.org/ben/
And a video of it in action (MP4 format, also hosted on a different server):
http://skytroniks.com/benhell/xbox360runningopen_large.mp4 - keikun, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13less ugly? i don't think he'd do a good job seeing as his mod, although particularly clever and well done, is not exactly nice looking.
- Avengelist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9You've failed to remember that humor and sarcasm, unless noted as such, don't apply on Digg...
- Nodren, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10does noone get this concept yet? you CAN link http://duggmirror.com
you dont have to include the rest of it for the link to work, go ahead click the link. - Germs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9That's really amazing. The end design is pretty cool and the fact that he was dedicated enough to spend 3 months on it shows real perseverance and skill.
- sinembarg0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9So long as they don't catch fire its fine.
- goat77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Seriously amazing. This guy does exactly the things I wish I could do.
- Pacotheparrot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7This guy knows his crap. How he does these projects is beyond me. I'd be like "***** *****, I'm gonna break it!"
- ubhe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7wow nice, microsoft should hire him to design their next console.
- Splitt3rxx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9amazing, this guy should have a job designing electronics, sony could use someone like him to make the PS3 less ugly.
- usherzx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6the duggmirror only works for the first page
- pillfred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Ok thats is seriously one if the coolest things i think i have ever seen. That is some quality *****, maybe up close it may show more flaws but i doubt it. Very impressive.

Mirror from Hackaday. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This is probably the best console to portable mods i've ever seen on Digg (and anywhere really). Very awesome.
- elastikos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That was awesome. Great idea.
- wedges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5holy *****, why don't they sell these?
- yourowndisaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Another mirror hosting images and video

- masterc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That's so cool! All the stuff he does is quite amazing.
- enrlover, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4i'll take 2.
- xtmno3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I just have to stand back in awe of the geekdom in my head right now.
4th'ish generation gaming console.
Motion sensing controller.
Tennis game.
Mod to the console to make it portable.
All so you can play tennis outside? I mean, I am all for finding tech solutions to everyday problems, but where do we draw the line? At some point we have to just admit that humans are the most confused animals out there. - tainedhero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Quality.
- addisonj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5now we just need a mod to run homebrew code :D :D :D,
that thing would be pretty as a full linux laptop - Gatesophile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That is awesome!
- xnylived, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I've loved all his home made portables but this one, hands down rocks my ass hardest. Perhaps Microsoft should stop f'ing around with the Zune and take a page out of Ben Heck's book and make portable 360's. As if Sony wasn't treading water already with fans that ***** would nail the coffin shut.
- mrniceguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I like how ben made "all sorts of resolution choices pop up." Nice work -
- TheCheeks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3if he could make a few more and ebay it...hed be a verrrry rich man.
- h00ligan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3serously, thats awesome work.
- sarin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@ Vensed and mrmister.
What was the ***** point in that you little pricks?
You need to get the ***** off digg and head on over to shoutwire with all thew other "1337 h4xxorz" 12 yr old idiots.
Grow up and get off the ***** internet before you get wankers cramp.
Neat article to the poster, i love this guys stuff. - chemicalrxn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is one of his best works to date. His imagination and potential put this guy in a realm of his own. +1 digg from me.
Why isn't he already getting paid to do this, though? Any guy that can envision something and work so tirelessly to realize it deserves a nice salary. - jeet404, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That is a nice mod and also I like how he put a wireless adapter, and made it so you didn't need the propriety xbox cable. Really makes it look a lot nicer!
- KingMoses, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Whisky Tango Foxtrot
That dude has the skills. - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Very cool. Dugg simply for the fact that he had the balls to just take apart a 360 in the first place. I would never do it to mine, but I always wondered what it would look like on the inside
- Linkage155, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3And why are you using "McAfee Site Advisor" ?
Oh, man let me guess this: IE right? Ha! - nurriz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is pretty amazing. This guy definetely has some skills in the electronics department. I've never seen his mods before. Thanks for the link!
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ben's writeups are always as entertaining as the finished product. There's one Photoshop he did in the middle of this one, without calling our attention to it, that's totally subtle and hilarious.
- EscapeArt1st, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dude that rocks... Still, I say you have hidden the powerpack in all those shots.
- joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Interview with the creator:
http://digg.com/gaming_news/Interview_With_Man_Behind_the_XBox_360_Laptop - seanandjael, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Site Advisor's an extension for Firefox. One of the only decent ideas they've ever had. I don't use McAfee or Norton for antivirus, but this extension is pretty useful for finding malicious sites. I like what the guy's doing (I did his PS1 mod) just wondering why he has a trojan in one of the downloads on his site. And no I don't use IE.
- SPARTACVS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Originally, every Xbox 360 sold was going to have water cooling for the CPU heatsink, as well as 2 fans at the back. Then they took it out at the last minute either because of production problems, or it would drive the production unit price up too much.
- jeet404, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yea I know when I saw the "bent caps" I was like HOLY CRAP! I would probably break majority of them just trying to make them bend lol
