- neutrascrub, on 10/12/2007, -8/+107now i can sleep at night
- ReneRuiz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23I don't know about you, but I still stay up at night wondering what the AV cord is going to look like.
- Florian, on 10/12/2007, -12/+29why do ppl digg a photo of a power supply? (i know my post will be voted thumbs down but wtf?)
- DarkSorrow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19it not huge, it normal size, it the same size as GamCube
- Klisk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21Not bad, although honestly, I don't care about power supply size. It isn't an issue for me. The Gamecube one was fine, so if it's the same, all the more power to Nintendo.
Plus this is presumably from E3, or some other early wii model, right? It (might) not be the final product. - phronko, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17I wanna see the PS4 and Xbox 720 power supplies. OMG that would be awesome. I'd totally pee myself.
- fakeXsound, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Wasn't the base that the Wii is usually sitting on supposed to be the power supply?
- dustinhoffman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10WOW... This is the most exciting news story since Digg V3 was introduced....
- aahpandasrun, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Now what I'd like to see is a ps3 power supply
- RazorElite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Because people are interested in whatever tidbits about a gaming system are released before the actual system is. That's obvious. On another note, I would've expected that to be a bit smaller, but who cares. At least it's not internal like PS3's, making the system all hot, huge and heavy.
- martinj88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9there's nothing there to compare it with so its kinda hard to judge the actual size.........and the PS3 power supply is gonna be able to house 4 people nicely
- gregmo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Yea I figured it wouldve been like the dock of the iPod.
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7W . T . F !
- fakeXsound, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Well you can see the outlet plug can't you?
- birch25, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8a search of the past week's stories shows this is the only one with "behold" in the title...
- DPowers08, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Its hard to judge the actual size of the unit because of the angle of the shot and nothing in the picture to compare it to.
- colonelmustard, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I have liked the Wii more than the 360 or PS3, and I still do.
- dSlifer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Huge? How is that large at all, and how can you even tell??? As neo said, he should have put something up to it for comparison, but even still, I don't see that as large at all, nor do I think it matters at all. If we started talking UPS sized, then I suppose I'd be worried, but honestly why would it matter? It's going to sit behind your entertainment center, very few people actually carry their systems around, and even fewer think anything beyond just being able to put the game in and play, the rest is all technical
- TehSuper, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7It's longer and skinnier than the Gamecube's. So it's about the same size.
- volcomjerk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I've never been so excited about a power brick before...
- neocitron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7the photographer should have placed a quarter on top for perspective's sake
- phronko, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Power supplies make me extremely excited. I got all wet just lookin at the headline. Whew.
- neko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think houses should come with their own in-the-wall transformers and have 12v DC outlets alongside the 240v AC sockets. It would make things much simpler for consoles, laptops, all sorts, and there'd be a lot less clutter with all the individual bricks humming along to some unheard tune.
- Daedalus81, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7People must be really hurting for Wii news...
- AmazingAndrex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That was a rumor started in Official Nintendo Magazine (UK). It has since been debunked numerous times.
- Narpas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The handle was less exciting... But it's not there anymore!
- airmann90, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That's just the AC to DC converter. and yes, technically it is a power supply, but could you imagine hunking that into the Wii? It would just get too big.. This PSU is moderately small in my opinion. Beats the 360!
- RazorElite, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4The PS3's power supply is *supposed* to be internal, because according to them, it's the right way to do it. But you know how Sony likes to change their mind.
- DigeratiPrime, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4as it says in the photos caption people are concerned about power supplies these days because they're prone to failure and some make a lot of noise.
- nicklinus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3if that is the wii powersupply why is it right next to a PS3.
- AmazingAndrex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's next to a stand that has a Wii on it. Although, they are the same size so I guess it's easy to be confused.
- razmig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the super nintendo, nintendo 64, and gamecube all use the same power supply (I recently discovered this when I couldn't find my snes power supply), this one looks like it's exactly the same, only difference is that it's grey.
I think that's a huge plus on nintendo's side, If I ever end up misplacing it (like I did with my NES) then I can just grab one from another system (which is why I haven't played my nes in ages). - Dmatias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i would still like to see a side by side just to be sure
- kilodelta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1no, its just happy to see you.
- longboarder543, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ah, but what they don't tell you is that what you're seeing is just the power supply to run the fan for the other power supply, which measures 36in X 36in and doubles as a coffee table.
- AmazingAndrex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Because unless you can harness electrons frm thin air, you can't send electricity through the air. That would be cool; I believe on a former diggnation that a magzine published a rumor on this as fact, making themselves look stupid.
- DelSolMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is that a motion sensor, gps, sd card slot and sync button i see?
- Bran70n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1someone may have already stated this, but it could be a diff colored cube one, only cus at e3 and possibly now they run a cube in the stand under the wii box only with some extra hardware
- saudama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think that people care more about the system and the games than the power supply.
- jacobmp92, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Why does every video-game related article start with "Behold"?
It's annoying the crap out of me. - CoolFly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Of course no one would digg a pro PS3 story! The PS3 sucks and everyone knows this. No one cares about the worst system ever! Wii is where the money is.
- sakuraz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5...but why did it matter.....
- Massif, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Next on digg, what kind of screws will they use? Will it be phillips head? Or the infamous torque screws!
- CoolFly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More like the Wii has everything going for it. Nobody cares about your two cents, fiftycents.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1why isn't it wireless like their controllers?
- CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2that's not the wii's power supply.
- meshgiath, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4+digg for gonintendo being 1st on the scene AGAIN
- CoolFly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No such thing as too many articles talking about how crappy the PS3 is or how awesome the Wii is. Besides, what's wrong with the truth?
- Reno582, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks just as big as the 360's psu,
