Average White Kid Gets Owned by his Parents over World of Warcraft !

karacry.ytmnd.com — This is completely hilarious. I have never listened to something so satisfying. Listen to this kid cry over World of Warcraft because his parents are telling him to get off but he doesn't want to. He CRIES and yells back at them yet his parents are still speaking so softly and kindly with him. I would never get away with this sort of backtalk.

      Never disobey your Asian parents; its a well known rule. Even Asian triad members are known to be on their best behavior around their parents.

These parents seemed like really really great ones, because they actually tried to REASON with him. See, if you convince him, he goes "oh." and learns from that, and the idea that he might be wrong sometimes will be in his mind from now on. You could kind of tell the kid in the video knew his parents were right, but he just didn't want to waste the effort he'd just spent to get his party together.

      Once you know the kid will not even listen to you and is unwilling to reason, THEN you go for the harder stuff, which is what these parents did ("no more computer").

      The problem is that people just go straight to the hard part.

I've almost always found that the same adults who brag that their parents forced logic upon them with a belt are the ones who still carry with them the racism, fundamentalism, extremism or ignorance of the generation above them.

      I guess for me, things went a little differently. Sure, I behaved while the parents were around, but every topic they shoved at me forcibly, I wound up squarely rejecting in the long run:

      - "Get in the car and go to church, or else!" turned me into an atheist. I couldn't be a Christian just because my parents were, because they never appeared to have any actual good reason for that other than the fact that THEIR parents had done it.
      - "Eat your vegetables, or else!" turned me into a total fatass! The more vegetables I had to eat, the more taboo, and thus tempting, the non-vegetables became.
      - "Get off the damn computer!" turned me into an IT professional, raking in more than both parents did combined at the same age. The more they told me not to spend time on the computer, the more I would sneak around and do it anyway. Eventually, I realized I loved playing on computers all the time, so now I do.

      So if you wind up having a kid who understands logic more than physical contact, and you swear you'll beat him if he ever questions you, be prepared to diminish the kid's capabilities right back down to your level. If you don't teach the little munchkin critical thinking skills and instead turn him into a younger version of you, you'll have produced nothing more than another lemming that drones through American society without making any impact at all.

      In other words, quit beating your ***** children! It's not cool any more!

There is a fine line between disciplinary action such as popping a kid on the arm and beating them. I live in a part of the country where abusive parenting is far too common, and it definitely doesn't lead to more disciplined children. All it does is carry out the same acts of violence, generation after generation.
