- samard2002, on 09/18/2009, -2/+6Yeah, like Maxwell Zuckensmash. "James Cameron" is pretty boring.
- Xtanto, on 09/18/2009, -0/+3Yes a totally rubbish experience and not one you would like to repeat!
- danwallace, on 09/18/2009, -4/+6Seriously. Am I the only one who thinks it looks kinda *****? I mean, James Cameron had some cool movies in the 80's and 90's and then he decided to make Titanic and a bunch of boring iMax crap about boats. Now he's making what appears to be a generic big-budget CG-fest. Why all the excitement? Is it because it's been marketed with annoying little hints and allusions for the past few years?
- gatekillr, on 09/18/2009, -1/+3"The interesting things about Avatar is that it's not really a movie. It's not really a game. It's an experience!" - SHUT UP!
- DarthVolta, on 09/18/2009, -4/+6Those action figures look like *****.
Also, this is one instance where the trailer made me less excited to see the movie. - Bloodwine, on 09/18/2009, -2/+3My mistake. His movie only shares the namesake with the kid's show.
Upon further research, it looks like M. Night Shymalonadingdong is making "The Last Airbender" in 2010, which is based on the kid's show. - temsi, on 09/18/2009, -0/+1The show needs another title, and you apparently need an attitude transplant.
- avianeddy, on 09/18/2009, -0/+1Thats as accurate a description as I've heard yet.. :D
- temsi, on 09/18/2009, -1/+2Good grief, how many times must this be repeated?
James Cameron's AVATAR was registered with the Writer's Guild 14 years ago.
That damn kids show started 4 years ago. Do the math.
Why should JC have to change the name of his movie? - J0hnnyBlaze, on 09/18/2009, -1/+2buried for all the people talking inbetween gameplay footage.
- photochopped, on 09/18/2009, -1/+2Looks like the Smurfs meets Halo.
- apetrie, on 09/18/2009, -1/+1I don't think they should title it like Avatar: The Game, that will just add further confusion to the fact that The Last Airbender is not the same movie/property, as the series was originally titled Avatar: The Last Airbender. There are plenty of other ways they could title it..
- avianeddy, on 09/18/2009, -1/+1My sentiments exactly. :(
Trailer was WEAK and felt like a late 90's video game - danwallace, on 09/18/2009, -1/+1Because I'm smarter, better looking and more successful than you.
- danwallace, on 09/18/2009, -1/+1No, I'm not 14. I just don't give a ***** about sunken boats.
- temsi, on 09/18/2009, -1/+1And your opinion matters because?
- inactive, on 09/18/2009, -0/+0Why should I have to research a movie made after a kid's TV show?
He could have registered a script called "The Office" and if someone makes a movie, "The Office" then people will assume it's about the TV show.
Needs another title. - Adrnshw6, on 09/18/2009, -1/+1I agree with the people that say that the trailer left them less excited to see the movie. I was certainly put off by it a bit. However, the day after the trailer I went to a 20 minute screening in an Imax theater and let me tell you, Avatar has, by far, the most impressive visuals I have ever seen in a movie. Ever. As well as the best and most realistic looking use of 3D I have ever seen.
I can't wait to see it in Imax 3D as soon as it is released. - Monotonousblob, on 09/18/2009, -3/+2I'll keep my expectations pretty low for this game, as it is a movie game, the vast majority of which are terrible. The movie, however, looks awesome.
- Methusalah, on 09/18/2009, -2/+1Those are some incredibly ugly action figures.
- inactive, on 09/18/2009, -2/+1He should pick a better name for his movie if it's an original idea.
- mettux, on 09/18/2009, -2/+1Did anyone else look at the thumbnail and think he was holding a guitar? For a second, I thought they were making a plastic-guitar rhythm game.
- avianeddy, on 09/18/2009, -2/+1Sorry, but the movie ITSELF looks like a game..... and an OUTDATED one at that.... I'm thinking "Jax and Dexter" for the PlayStation.
- jrm125, on 09/18/2009, -5/+3i don't get this whole Avatar thing
- Jediwilson, on 09/18/2009, -5/+2this movie, Avatar is NOT based on the kids show. It's entirely different.
The movie "The Last Airbender" IS based on the kids show. and no, it's not all that bad of a show. I recommend checking it out. Better than some of the crap that's out there.
oh, this game is based on Avatar the movie, not the kids show. - pintocat, on 09/18/2009, -5/+2James Cameron should have picked a different name
- inactive, on 09/18/2009, -4/+1He's making a live action movie about a kid's show?
- freshyill, on 09/18/2009, -4/+1I've been saying that Avatar looks like a ***** movie, but a decent video game. The uncanny valley ain't so uncanny on the Xbox 360, where even the best looking characters look like reanimated corpses.
- temsi, on 09/18/2009, -4/+1"boring iMax crap about boats"
What are you, 14?
Documentaries != boring. - inactive, on 09/18/2009, -5/+1Hopefully the game will look more realistic than the movie....
- xsecretfiles, on 09/18/2009, -6/+1A second game? The first one was alright, so hopefully this one is better
YAYYY!!!!! - Bloodwine, on 09/18/2009, -7/+2James Cameron is making a live-action movie about Avatar. This game will be based on that.
- maddonkey, on 09/18/2009, -6/+1http://kanyelicio.us/http://xbox360.ign.com/articl ...
- spyderbc, on 09/18/2009, -7/+1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAPyipuT-Jg ...my favorite "Hitler finds out" video is about Avatar! "I wait 10 years for f------ Captain Planet with cats!"
- inactive, on 09/18/2009, -9/+1Isn't this some lame kid's show?
Why does it need a game?
