- sleepyjjk, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2Great idea if implemented correctly. I honestly hope that video games like Spore will educate people that there is quite a lot of validity in science. Not only that, theories like evolution will show to be quite valid. With a video game, it will give the imagination needed to see how such a theory could be correct.
Not only that, it can show people visually how it works, to some degree, while they are still having quite a bit of fun.
However, the key point to make is that it has to be fun and exciting to learn. For example, having a good teacher normally makes a subject much more interesting and much more rewarding to learn, even if one has to put a lot of effort to understanding it. The same will go for games, having a fun and exciting game will be much more effective at getting the points across.
