- rentmitchum, on 05/04/2008, -7/+143Did he pronounce cache "cashay"? If that's the way it's pronounced I've been saying it wrong.
- ultimathule, on 05/04/2008, -45/+2Hey RuPaul!
Cashay shantay!- forgiste, on 05/04/2008, -4/+23Buried for Ru Paul spam..
- DangerMouse9, on 05/05/2008, -8/+2Ru Paul > Ron Paul
- neems25, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1FAIL
- forgiste, on 05/04/2008, -4/+23Buried for Ru Paul spam..
- forgiste, on 05/04/2008, -4/+118I think it's pronounced Cash, although I'm not sure.
- RAEP, on 05/04/2008, -3/+31***** was so cache.
- neems25, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1cache as *****,fool!
- WNW3, on 05/04/2008, -1/+23You are correct
- moofer, on 05/04/2008, -2/+6No one builds a 'cashay' of weapons.
- Gizza, on 05/05/2008, -8/+3I've always thought it's more like cayshe.
- howzitgoin88, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4I pronounce it as kay-sh... But then again, i am australian and we always pronounce things differently.
- srg13, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4I think that's a more British pronunciation... That's how I've always said it (I'm from Australia too)
- rageguy, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1Same here, Australia.
- srg13, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4I think that's a more British pronunciation... That's how I've always said it (I'm from Australia too)
- RAEP, on 05/04/2008, -3/+31***** was so cache.
- virtualball, on 05/04/2008, -12/+1I always thought it was pronounced "cashay" but it turns out you were right, it's "cash." I found out by watching DiggNation. I guess I was corrected in style? :)
- PeppermintPig, on 05/04/2008, -3/+1Cash, or kay'shh, but not cashay
- Caleb83, on 05/04/2008, -5/+61'Cash' is correct. Cashay is the french pronunciation, from which this word originated. Just say whatever you like. You'll get less funny looks if you say cash, though.
- sanotaan, on 05/04/2008, -2/+12"kosh" is close to the french pronunciation; i think you're thinking of "cachet", which is an unrelated word
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cachet- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3I've always heard it pronounced "cash".
- YoctoYotta, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1You're right, I think that's what everyone who says "cache" as "cashay" is confused by. I have a cache of weapons with a certain cachet about them.
- Caleb83, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1No, I'm thinking of Caché, which means hidden. thanks for assuming, pal.
- shawnanigans, on 05/05/2008, -2/+1Cache is pronounced cash means to hide, caché is pronounced cashay means hidden. Because it has similar meaning and the root of the word is thus hard to determine either would be right.
- nextyoyoma, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1because your sentence has no structure, it is impossible to understand.
- shawnanigans, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2How the hell did my fingers type that? I think I have a broken connection somewhere between my brain and my hands. Must have lost a token ring.
- keitarofujiwara, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1It is possible to understand if you try. And, he's right. In the past, from the days of 486-es, and even earlier, Cashé was always pronounced "Cachey" by everyone I knew. But that was a long time ago.
Present day? Different story. It's pronounced "Cash", as in money.
- KnuckleZ, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2No, here where I live, you will sound like an idiot if you say "cash"
- sanotaan, on 05/04/2008, -2/+12"kosh" is close to the french pronunciation; i think you're thinking of "cachet", which is an unrelated word
- manitoba98xp, on 05/04/2008, -5/+33Nope. Its just like "cash". That's people trying to make it sound "more French" (cash-ay would probably be spelled "caché").
- ufia, on 05/04/2008, -1/+13Even in french we pronounce it "cash". Because "cashay" phonetically sounds like the word "hidden" in french, so it no longer makes much sense when you were talking about computer memory.
- manitoba98xp, on 05/04/2008, -6/+3I know. That's precisely what I said. I said that some people try to make it sound "more French" because, not being francophones, they think all French words end in the "ay" syllable.
- ufia, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4Hehe, take it easy, I was basically agreeing with you and sharing my 2 cents. Maybe it was my last sentence that was badly formulated as directed toward you. But meant it more in the sense of, when someone (not you) is discussing about computer memory, he does not say "hidden".
- manitoba98xp, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2Sorry if I came across as defensive. I was attempting to clarify, in case my original comment was unclear. I apologize. :)
- PrincessSalami, on 05/05/2008, -1/+6Get a room you two.
- ufia, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4Hehe, take it easy, I was basically agreeing with you and sharing my 2 cents. Maybe it was my last sentence that was badly formulated as directed toward you. - exomni, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1Maybe he's just "verbing" it: i.e. "casher".
- ufia, on 05/04/2008, -1/+13Even in french we pronounce it "cash". Because "cashay" phonetically sounds like the word "hidden" in french, so it no longer makes much sense when you were talking about computer memory.
- zdiddy85, on 05/04/2008, -5/+4It's pronounce "cash".
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cache- yellowfish04, on 05/04/2008, -5/+3damn, I've been saying "cash-ay" my whole life. Damn my French blood..
- shwang, on 05/04/2008, -6/+12I think it can technically be both... it comes from the french word that does have the accent making it (Cash-ay) but without its (Cash)
- oxdeltaxo, on 05/04/2008, -4/+1I tend to use the original french pronunciation. Maybe that's just because I'm Canadian and had an anal french teacher in grade 9. :/
- pendrachken, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Is anal french different than regular french?
- YoctoYotta, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2More poop.
- pendrachken, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Is anal french different than regular french?
- sanotaan, on 05/04/2008, -1/+3caché (kosh-ay) is "hidden", i believe, in french.
the word you're thinking of might be "cachet".
- oxdeltaxo, on 05/04/2008, -4/+1I tend to use the original french pronunciation. Maybe that's just because I'm Canadian and had an anal french teacher in grade 9. :/
- Lousansano, on 05/04/2008, -14/+7Its cash, you sound like an idiot if you say cash-ay.
- cnot3, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2or a frenchman
- strictnein, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5exactly
- ZigVicious, on 05/04/2008, -2/+8there's a difference?
- cnot3, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2or a frenchman
- Dominicc2003, on 05/04/2008, -11/+3I've always had this problem, same with anime.
If it's spelt "anime" I tend to automatically think "a-neem" instead of "animé".
With cache however, I tend to automatically say "caché" not "cash" :S
doubt you care but meh :P- JudgeMonkey, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2I used to say caché too. Admittedly it was when I was like 12, but I still did. It doesn't really matter as long as people can tell. However when people intentionally say things incorrectly to be a smartass, jackass, or try and be "cute" well those people suck.
- Godlike, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2At this very moment the marker board in my pod has "CACHED =/= CASH-AID" written on it from Friday.
Full circle.
- Godlike, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2At this very moment the marker board in my pod has "CACHED =/= CASH-AID" written on it from Friday.

- ngmcs8203, on 05/04/2008, -3/+11I have a coworker from New Zealand that pronounces it "Cay-sh". Tomay-tow, tomah-toe.
- Aphelion, on 05/04/2008, -5/+1it's tomay-tow... no it is
- WaveyRavey, on 05/04/2008, -1/+4Thats called an accent.
- wharlie, on 05/04/2008, -1/+7Its not the accent, I'm from Australia and most people here pronounce it "kaysh".
We pronounce the "a" like in late, not like in cat.
But we still have a fair amount of cash and cashé pronouncers
- UnWeave, on 05/04/2008, -2/+3Wiki says "Although the pronunciation /ˈkæʃeɪ/ is sometimes heard in English, it properly only represents the French adjective 'caché(e)', meaning 'hidden'. /keɪʃ/ is a mispronunciation."
i.e. when referring to a computer cache, it should be "cash". Which means I have been saying it wrong :). - graemee, on 05/04/2008, -8/+3The only people I know who pronounce it CASH-AY are Americans. The same people who can't pronounce Pelitier - Pel-a-Tier. (It's Pel-che-ay).
- Ridikul, on 05/04/2008, -0/+6What is a pelitier?
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5I'm American and I've never heard anyone pronounce is "CASH-AY". Please stop generalizing.
- silverharbinger, on 05/04/2008, -1/+0If you ever work in technical support for the general public, you'll hear "CASH-AY" quite a bit. It's usually a good indication that you are talking to an idiot. I'm still trying to find a copy of the "Internet Exploder" program they were always having problems with as well.
- iFrikkenR, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3do you mean Peltier? pronounced pel-ti-ay - as in thermoelectric cooling? Meh, anyways, English is a terible language thats open to far too many interpretations of correct pronounciations of words. Half our language comes from French for a start.
- estvir, on 05/05/2008, -3/+1And Caribbean too, I hate how Americans pronounce it, it sounds so incredibly stupid.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Yes, because Australian is known as being an intelligent sounding accent...
"Hey, I think I hear a dingo eating your baby."
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Yes, because Australian is known as being an intelligent sounding accent...
- Kerath, on 05/04/2008, -1/+15There's cache (cash) and cachet (cashay).
- Juthan, on 05/04/2008, -2/+2*****
- Culyt, on 05/04/2008, -1/+17I've always pronounced it 'caiesh'. Maybe its because I'm Australian or just crap at pronouncing stuff.
- MrFisty, on 05/04/2008, -1/+11I'm Aussie and I say cay-sh. And considering I work for a web agency, I really hope I've got it right.
- estvir, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3I'm trying to think of how I would spell it in regards to how I pronounce it and I think it's similar to 'caiesh' too. I'm also Australian.
'Cash' just sounds stupid for cache and 'cashay' sounds fairly stupid too.
- FuckThaMeme, on 05/04/2008, -0/+11Shau-dere? Shau-dere? It's "chowder"!
- nbcaffeine, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3CHOWDA! Say it right frenchy. CHOWDA
- Khanvalescent, on 05/04/2008, -1/+6Two different words:
Cache ("cash")- 1 a: a hiding place especially for concealing and preserving provisions or implements b: a secure place of storage.
Cachet ("ca-shay")- 2 a: a characteristic feature or quality conferring prestige.
(thank you m-w.com) - DaHuuuuuudge, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5Am I the only one that pronounces it like "catch"? Great, time to reevaluate my entire life.
- theOster, on 05/04/2008, -1/+4i say caysh :(
- aussieNickuss, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1As do I. Also for Apache, I say ApashAy (as opposed to ApARchy).
- mohsenxp, on 05/04/2008, -1/+1when i studied Computing my computing teacher always told us its Cash-ay. Before then I always called it Cash, not i can't help but pronounce it cashay!! Damn that teacher.
- exomni, on 05/05/2008, -2/+2Maybe he's just "verbing" it: i.e. "casher".
Je cashe, tu cashes, il cashe, nous cashions, vous cashez, elles cashent. - Archeologist, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1Ok we get it. The first reply already answered the question.
- Hydroseeds, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1I'm-a tell you like Biggie told me, cashay rule everything around me.
- archivist, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4america: cache (kahsh)
british: caché (kah-shey)
australia: cáché (khey-shey)
philippines: cache (doesn't give a *****)- aussieNickuss, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4Aussie here. Everybody I know (and myself) says "caysh".
- renegade334, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4australia: cáche (kheysh)
- bluepilljunkie, on 05/05/2008, -1/+0i used to think touche was pronounced "touch - ee" until high school
- ultimathule, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1You douche.
- neems25, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Or..."douch-ee"
- ultimathule, on 05/04/2008, -45/+2Hey RuPaul!
- M0nk3y11, on 05/04/2008, -32/+18Yep, I heard "cashay" too, lol. He is pronouncing it wrong, not you. He needs a life and a dictionary. I agree that the game should work out of the box b/c it's a console game... but to go to the extent of making a video to show your frustration with it... why? Send in your calls and e-mails to the game company. If the game freezes on somebody, they won't need his video in order to know it, useless.
- PHiZ187, on 05/04/2008, -1/+35Many companies don't respond to individual consumer complaints until they are shamed into doing so. This one gamer could feel that he is one of many people affected, and is working to bring attention to the problem.
- ultimathule, on 05/04/2008, -9/+2Supermodel, you better work it girl, give it a twirl! Do yo thang!
- thepatster, on 05/04/2008, -6/+6No if your referring to it's name, and how that name has weight, i believe "cashay" is the right way to say it.
- ligyron, on 05/04/2008, -4/+5You must be new here. We have what you call a reply button
- M0nk3y11, on 05/04/2008, -2/+1Yeah you're right, I should've used the reply button, good catch. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?
- estvir, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1No, considering how condescending and stupid you were in your post.
- M0nk3y11, on 05/04/2008, -2/+1Yeah you're right, I should've used the reply button, good catch. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?
- sirbeta, on 05/04/2008, -2/+2Yep, he sure needs a life and a dictionary because he mispronounced a word. No elitist dickhead comment there, nope, none.
- M0nk3y11, on 05/04/2008, -3/+1A life isn't going to help him pronounce the word correctly, just the dictionary, come on - use your head ;) He doesn't need a life because he mispronounced a word, he needs a life because he went to extents to kick and scream that his toy doesn't work. I'm willing to bet their are other effective ways to go about it.
- thirty6chambers, on 05/04/2008, -1/+6You're a dick AND an idiot. The dude is helping out everyone who has had a freezing issue with GTA4 (including myself) by bringing more exposure to the problem so that the developers might prioritize finding a fix. He's taking time to help people out, why the hell are you discouraging it?
- M0nk3y11, on 05/04/2008, -4/+1Name-calling, really? lol
- thirty6chambers, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2yes REALLY. When I see a donkey I'm not going to say "horse". I just call it like I see it.
- ImTheKey, on 05/04/2008, -1/+1Sucks for you buddy, my ***** is workin just fineeee
- thirty6chambers, on 05/04/2008, -0/+0Oh wow look at all the jealousy in my letters!
- M0nk3y11, on 05/05/2008, -0/+0LOL
- M0nk3y11, on 05/04/2008, -4/+1Name-calling, really? lol
- Verz, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2Because you don't have a life if you make a couple five minute videos, right?
- pear1jamten, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1when is using the internet for a just cause a bad thing?
- miggz06, on 05/04/2008, -16/+168Dugg for nipples.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -2/+14Always digg for nipples.
- unleashedlive, on 05/04/2008, -1/+14Always digg for *female* nipples.
- t0x2c, on 05/05/2008, -8/+0Incorrect. Man boobies too.
- unleashedlive, on 05/04/2008, -1/+14Always digg for *female* nipples.
- dhughes, on 05/04/2008, -6/+4 I'd digg your comment but right now it's at 69 diggs, somehow that seems right.
- Pillage, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5She must be Freezing!
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -2/+14Always digg for nipples.
- greennoodles, on 05/04/2008, -4/+30I had freezing problems but totally fixed it. I put the res down to 480p and open and close the tray and have the game auto-load, 15 game play hours and still no freezing.
- UtahApocalyse, on 05/04/2008, -28/+50Thats like saying "my PC always crashed so I downgraded my graphics card."
- gplpark92, on 05/04/2008, -3/+102no, its like saying "my PC always crashed so i lowered the resolution."
.... - Onyxblaze, on 05/04/2008, -41/+4No. It's like saying "my PC always crashed so I put less stress on my graphics card." dumbass much?
- LemmingJesus, on 05/04/2008, -4/+12Utah is a textbook example of a console gamer.
- gplpark92, on 05/04/2008, -3/+102no, its like saying "my PC always crashed so i lowered the resolution."
- thatsmyaibo, on 05/04/2008, -1/+24Yeah you shouldn't have to go through all that to play it. You should take it out of the box and have it work flawlessly. These companies spend a lot of money into QA to make sure a game works and this game has had way too many issues.
- greennoodles, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2I agree, but hey, I'm playing it.
- oxdeltaxo, on 05/04/2008, -4/+2Believe me this is an easy fix, are we all forgetting what happened with the red ring of death?
- obelisky, on 05/04/2008, -4/+6this isnt about the red ring of death tho (fanboy spotted)
- oxdeltaxo, on 05/04/2008, -6/+4I was drawing a comparison, if you can't see that then your just another troll.
- obelisky, on 05/04/2008, -4/+6this isnt about the red ring of death tho (fanboy spotted)
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -1/+13See but that's the reason why I am getting away from PC gaming, console gaming is supposed to 'just work'. I shouldn't have to do that.
- pcpimpster, on 05/04/2008, -6/+4I agree, console gaming is supposed to "just work"... Else I would be playing gta4 on my pc.... oh wait... EXACTLY!!!!!
- sgtpppr, on 05/05/2008, -9/+4And this is the game that will destroy Wii sales? Heh.
- se1zure, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5cause no wii game ever has every had any issues. Never before has a certain guitar game had a mass replacement system for only wii copies.
- mattrh, on 05/05/2008, -2/+13I had freezing problems too, until I put on a jacket.
- theblt, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1How to unfreeze:

- Nath4n, on 05/04/2008, -21/+85Been playing it problem free on 360 all week?
- thatsmyaibo, on 05/04/2008, -2/+71Are you asking us?
- WNW3, on 05/04/2008, -1/+38I think he is?
- specialK16, on 05/04/2008, -0/+30No he is not?
- Laiden, on 05/04/2008, -2/+26Most definately is?
- pcpimpster, on 05/04/2008, -13/+2Working perfect for me... on my launch time 360... perfect
- RoflcopterFUEL, on 05/04/2008, -1/+16...?
- pcpimpster, on 05/05/2008, -10/+3Oh - you must be a retard... let me explain
See, i bought a 360, @ launch time - get it?
Imagine that... u know- everything works like magical monkeys ***** your mom?
I must have had like a bazillion dollars and i should have made gas cheaper... but instead i wanted to take a picture of your moms off plentyoffish.com and plaster it on to the bazillion pictures you'll see in your journey through the porno cracks of the internet.
Be sure to send a pick of all ur future goodness
- schtick01101, on 05/05/2008, -2/+4Here on earth we have this wonderful concept called sarcasm?
- Chebsi, on 05/05/2008, -1/+4I don't know what sarcasm is?
- pcpimpster, on 05/05/2008, -10/+3Oh - you must be a retard... let me explain
- RoflcopterFUEL, on 05/04/2008, -1/+16...?
- Coolmatt49, on 05/04/2008, -3/+2Who's asking?
- ZigVicious, on 05/04/2008, -0/+25I'm Ron Burgendy?
- cawpin, on 05/04/2008, -4/+3Mine has been working fine. I've had no problems at all on my 360.
- Chebsi, on 05/04/2008, -4/+30No, I haven't.
- GeorgeStone2, on 05/04/2008, -5/+48Hey guys, this person hasn't had a problem.
This means the problem doesn't exist.....- chazuk, on 05/04/2008, -1/+17YAY! I assume if he doesn't have AIDS then the AIDS virus has died too?
- Markpdotcom, on 05/04/2008, -1/+14I don't think you're being HIV Positive about this guy... ;)
- mrm3x1can, on 05/05/2008, -3/+1dugg for south park reference
- chazuk, on 05/04/2008, -1/+17YAY! I assume if he doesn't have AIDS then the AIDS virus has died too?
- jivemasta, on 05/04/2008, -9/+2I'm guessing this only affects people who care about watching the opening scene. People like me who could care less about story just mashed buttons until it went away and started the real game.
- ngmcs8203, on 05/04/2008, -1/+10Nope, I watched the opening scene fine on my 360. And I'm 20hrs in and have yet to have it lock up like this. So I guess, just like the RRoD, it only affects machines at random. (I've had my 360 since day of release)
- BearinG, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Same here.. up to 35 hours of gameplay without a hitch. I have a refurbished Feb 06 (not launch, but close). Old or new, it might or might not be affected
- Markpdotcom, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4You'd be wrong. It happens at various points throughout the game.
- doyoumrjones, on 05/04/2008, -11/+4***** off, haha. This is a problem for so many including me.
- JonRick, on 05/04/2008, -3/+4Sucks to be you then, mine works fine on my 360. Real fun game, too bad you can't play.
- AvidPreatorian, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Finished the game on PS3 with one freeze. I'm not sure what's the problem but I have heard that disconnecting from PSN while playing single player helps some people.
- cruzer2727, on 05/04/2008, -3/+2No freezes on the Elite, Can you return the game for another copy???
- moofer, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2Same here. I'm sorry to hear there are problems. Now I'm dreading my first lockup. I think I'll be a little more militant about my saves until I get more time on it.

- hammburglar, on 05/05/2008, -7/+3mine has frozen over 10 times. but i think it has to do with the piece of ***** 360 more than the game.

- EatUrKids, on 05/05/2008, -2/+1I dare you to say that again...........dare you......
- hammburglar, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2dont mind if i do. my 360 is a piece of *****. i love it. i love the games. but what else would you call it when you get disc read errrors for every game you own even when they are brand new. youd think the 4th time they took it in for repair theyd at least come close to fixing it.
- richmomz, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1No problems on my early '06 X360. The half-dozen people I know who have already bought it on PS3 and XBox have not had problems either. Not saying the problem doesn't exist, only that it's not as widespread as some people are making it sound.
- markstory, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1I just bought a 360 and have logged ~10 hours. haven't had any freezes yet.

- MasteRR, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1Funny, I've had my Wii freeze up a few times or get in a loop that it couldn't get out of (bad programming). The latter seems to happen with the Shop Channel when there are network issues. And with the crappy Wi-Fi built into that thing that happened a lot before I got the network adapter. I shouldn't have to buy more ***** to fix these little problems that shouldn't have happened in the first place.

- Crossmenjeff, on 05/04/2008, -17/+18My 360 red ringed after it froze 3 or 4 times. and yes i did all sorts of things to fix it temporarily, but eventually the poor memory usage of the game killed my system. and I was like most of you who had played most of the week without problems. never had a a single problem in the year i've owned my 360.

- elitexero, on 05/04/2008, -0/+19'Poor memory usage of the game"?
Red rings (so far) are usually caused by improper solder points on the motherboard.- oldhick, on 05/04/2008, -1/+16Some people on the internet think games create the red ring! Beware... Or ignore them like I do and keep playing.
- acetv, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10Shhh... the 360 is filled with magic, not hardware!
- ethanpack, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1Best comment today.
- chazuk, on 05/04/2008, -5/+7You're blaming GTAIV on the death of your 360, not the shoddy hardware that Microsoft have designed which is prone to failure? The problem is that you expected to be able to use the ***** thing.
Remember kids, turn it on, RROD. Leave it off, all is well. - TheFinaleofSeem, on 05/04/2008, -4/+28If your XBox red ringed because of GTAIV, blame MS for their crappy design flaws, not Rockstar for creating a game that stresses the system.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I don't know why you are getting dugg down.
- BearinG, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Thank you, that's really all it is.. some games use more resources then others and that's when the RRoD's show up and people start blaming the game..
- TheCash, on 05/04/2008, -5/+5Yup... same problem. Everything was fine 20+ hours of play in, then I go to play it yesterday and it freezes as I'm leaving my safehouse. It happens, no big deal, so I reboot it and get the 3 red rings. The cardboard coffin should be here by Tuesday. After that, its anybody's guess when I'll be back to playing anything, let alone GTA. Sigh...
And yes, I do blame GTA4 for this problem, as I've had zero problems with Crackdown, Halo3, Gears, or Mass Effect; and I have a hard time believing that GTA puts more stress on my system then any of those.- jesperhh, on 05/04/2008, -1/+6unless the game actually tries to overclock the system to allow the xbox to run it (very unlikely i would say..) you can't really blame it - if you ran prime95 for an hour and the computer crashed, you wouldn't blame prime95, you would blame poor cooling or some other hardware problem right?
- HolyChimp, on 05/04/2008, -3/+4Stop digging this guy down! Don't you understand that no 360s red ringed before GTA4 came out?
- keepinithamsta, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3I was watching a video and paused it so I could go to work. When I came back a girl with her legs spread open was burned into my screen. God was punishing me for watching porn. It had nothing to do with me pausing the video for 9 hours.

- diabolicdiablo, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2GTA killed my PS3, too ! It froze a few times, & now it won't recognize any disc I put in. Blue-Ray, DVD, CD, Games ... nothing. It's ***** that I paid $ 400 of my hard earned cash and now essentially all I have is a media streamer. AHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!! :(
[PURE FRUSTRATION]- liuping, on 05/05/2008, -2/+1Just get Sony to replace your faulty HW. Don't blame GTA for Sony's bad hardware. Since GTA passed Sony certification, it's not doing anything that can kill a healthy machine. It's really that simple.
- diabolicdiablo, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2Your right liuping, I don't blame Rockstar at all. And Sony is replacing my PS3. Also, GTA4 was really fun the few days I did get a chance to play it. I'm just out my gaming system for a few weeks and I'm mad.
- liuping, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1If your 360 red ringed it's not the GTA IV's fault. The hardware is faulty and it would have eventually failed form some other game that uses the machines full capabilities. There are tons of faulty 360's out there. Have MS replace it and stop blaming games from bricking your Hardware..
- darkfate, on 05/04/2008, -7/+9They test the games in optimal situations. They're assuming that your system is well ventilated, not filled with dust, and that the disk is not scratched. I'm a gamer and I've been over plenty of people's houses where either the system's fan is pointed toward the ground or they just leave the discs lying out on the floor or table. I have a feeling a lot of these issues are due to just plain negligence on the part of the gamer, not the developer.
- coheedcollapse, on 05/04/2008, -5/+4My PS3 is dusted daily and it sits atop a speaker with more than three feet of free space on each side. That said, I experienced one freeze on a mission loading screen when resuming play. I signed out of the PSN and got in fine, signed back in, and I haven't had the problem since.
- ngmcs8203, on 05/04/2008, -2/+17You do realize the size of magnets in your home entertainment speakers, right? I don't know if I'd trust a hard drive around a giant magnet. No matter how shiny the PS3s case is.
- Gizza, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2You do realize the power of the magnets that are inside a hard drive, right? If a magnet was capable of ruining a hard drive or wiping data the magnet which controls the head would have done it long ago.
- coheedcollapse, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1Thanks for the backup. Apparently most of Digg knows nothing about hard drives and base their knowledge on archaic media formats.
- coheedcollapse, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1You do realize that I'm talking about large, old, box speakers in which the closest magnet is at least three feet away from my actual console. Even given a close magnet, the amount of actual power you'd actually need to mess up a hard drive is a lot higher than what my speakers put out.
Oh wait no. On digg, people assume things.
- Gizza, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2You do realize the power of the magnets that are inside a hard drive, right? If a magnet was capable of ruining a hard drive or wiping data the magnet which controls the head would have done it long ago.

- TheCash, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I take better care of my system and disks then most single parents do their children. All my equipment is dusted weekly, and my entertainment center is made up of a wire rack like you find in restaurant kitchens, so ventilation is *not* an issue either. Its not in direct sunlight, and the ambient room temp is never above 70. I've had this system for 2 years now, and haven't had a problem with it with any other game until now, and that includes known high stress games like Gears, Crackdown, Halo3 and Mass Effect.
- SkullAndXBones, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I have a feeling you're a moron.
- Marijuana, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1The developer would also like for you to chop it up.
- CSharpSauce, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1I did my internship with Activision.... i did more then my share of QA. I can tell you (especailly during crunch time) The area most certainly is not in "optimal" conditions....
- doubledmateo, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1This is a fanboy/self righteous rant. Some people can't seem to wrap their head around the truth of problems like these and feel the need to tell those experiencing them that it's somehow their fault. I keep better care of my 360 than any other piece of electronics that I have EVER owned, and the thing still Red ringed. It has NOTHING to do with some sort of a user error and is entirely on the side of MS that it happens. Quit telling people that they caused the problem when they didn't. Even if they don't keep their house like some sort of a clean room, they shouldn't have to. Consoles shoudn't have to be kept in a more special condition than any other type of consumer electronics. My PC is 3 years old and has never had a hiccup. It's not because I was more careful with it.
- coheedcollapse, on 05/04/2008, -5/+4My PS3 is dusted daily and it sits atop a speaker with more than three feet of free space on each side. - hotpocket713, on 05/04/2008, -0/+12Unfortunately, I was also hit with the loading freeze as well. Turning off the PSN did fix it for me, but this is really unacceptable. Games are coming out with more and more bugs because just making an update after the fact is so much easier nowadays.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 05/04/2008, -2/+2I think you're wrong. I think that GTA IV is an incredibly polished game. At least, if not more polished than any of the previous games were on release. This is a glitch that affects only a small portion of consoles out there. There's not a whole lot R* could have done to even find out about this problem if they didn't have a glitching system on hand and happen to test with it.
The "developer's are getting lazy because of patchable games" argument is only valid in situations where a product is broadly and clearly not ready for retail (see The Orange Box). - mohsenxp, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I agree with you. With the increase in online updates for games, developers are almost seeing the final version as a last form of testing! It is unacceptable that alot of new games are needing patches within the first month of release.
It will ONLY stop if customers become wise and buy the game AFTER it has been released and properly reviewed! But I can't blame anyone for wanting to preorder GTA4.

- VipeNess, on 05/04/2008, -4/+2this doesnt fix the problem how the game is suppose to work... i have both versions... the 360 version doesnt do this.
- Proctor, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5I don't know why anybody would buy two copies of the same game.
- doubledmateo, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2This works for most playing on the PS3, but there are a significant portion of people posting on the Playstation forums that say this is not helping them. Possible that there are different things that are causing the freezing but who knows. Generally from what I read, the folks that played the game for sevaral hours and then had it freeze are able to get back on by disconnecting their internet, the ones that had it freeze on the opening cutscene, are (mostly from what I saw, again this is rather informal) not finding the PSN fix to work. Strange.

- jrm5100, on 05/04/2008, -5/+28As far as I know, PS3 freezes slightly more often but is easy to fix every time (just sign out of PSN). The Xbox has the RROD problem to worry about.
The problem isn't incredibly widespread anyway. You would have to be fairly unlucky to be affected by it.- tama00, on 05/04/2008, -8/+5Well if you ever plan on using GTA4 online, i wouldn't touch the PS3.
- SubjectiveC, on 05/04/2008, -3/+13From what I've read, the 360's freezing problems are coupled with the system's own problems, while the Playstation's are game-specific. It freezes on this game and is most likely to do so on the 60GB model.
- obelisky, on 05/04/2008, -4/+1nope
- tama00, on 05/04/2008, -6/+1How the hell does that work out?! So your when the game designed for PS3 crashes. Its not the PS3's fault but the game. Yet you are saying it most likely affects the 60GB model PS3 and the other PS3 models will crash less. Unless your buying a different game for the 60GB model, i don't see how you came to that conclusion,
- dysfunction, on 05/05/2008, -0/+4Except the harddrive isn't the only hardware difference between the 60GB and other models, and it's entirely possible the freezes have something to do with how the code interacts with that hardware.
I have a 40GB model though, and I'm experiencing freezing as well.- BearinG, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1The RRoD is also "hardware".. but not directly related to GTA.. if it gets RRoD, then it was going to anyway, not really because of GTA. I kinda have to agree with tama00's post.. It says that the 360 is because of the machine and its problems. Then, it says that the most PS3's issues are only for the 60gb.. but now in this case its a software issue? I like my 360 but i'm no fanboy.. If the problem is only with one "flavor" of PS3s, then it is most likely a hardware issue with that "flavor".
The same problem on both sides if you ask me.. some 360s with crappy hardware will freeze... some PS3s with crappy hardware will freeze.
I remember yesterday when someone mentioned, "What's with all the 360 fanboys".. This is what i meant by "all fanboys" are the same...

- Quicksilver4648, on 05/04/2008, -8/+12If you go to a store is buy a new 360, then it is very unlikely it will Red Ring due to the newly introduced smaller chips and higher air control and it also wont freeze. However, it seems that any PS3 CAN be affected and it seems that the problem can be fixed by disconnecting the console from the internet.
- krische, on 05/04/2008, -2/+7Although I agree with your comment. What sucks is that you know no idea how long that console has been sitting on the shelf. I mean that console could be from before christmas 07.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 05/04/2008, -1/+4Well said. I think the only thing you can do in this case is buy from a place where they don't have a long time to sit on the shelf like GameStop or any place that sells a lot of them.
- StolenLamp, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7Do your research, look on the side of the box for the right model you want, it tells you the processor and stuff.
- BearinG, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Mfr date also.. all boxes have that little "folding window" to look in..
- bigbadgoat, on 05/04/2008, -2/+2there's no evidence the smaller chips and added heat-syncs are improving the failure rate.

Where is all this proof that these additions are doing anything?
I'm sorry, but this is one of these cases where you don't assume it's gotten better, it has to be shown. I've looked, and I can't find any.
I'll be satisfied with a couple independent sources, go ahead, prove me wrong, I'm more than willing to admit it if you guys pony up the proof. - doubledmateo, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2why are you guys digging him down? He made a COMPLETELY valid point. There hasn't been any PROOF, that this fixes the issue. It's possible that heat may not be the only thing causing this issue, and I have people on my friends list that have the newer chipsets, and still got a red ring, so this remains to be proven.
- bosko1983, on 05/05/2008, -3/+1I have proof... had 2 first gens... both RROD and froze all the time. Have a newer one now, no freezing. Ever.
- bigbadgoat, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5your anecdote isn't proof.
There's people who bought launch consoles that still haven't given them an issue.

- krische, on 05/04/2008, -4/+12It seems like most of the freezing issues on the PS3 are PlayStation Network related. So signing in and out fixes it for nearly everyone. (Fixed it for me). It seems like on the 360 it might be more hardware related, but thats just an assumption. So a PS3 might be the safer bet.
- diggrim, on 05/04/2008, -8/+5No
- ngmcs8203, on 05/04/2008, -4/+3Even though I only have a 360, from what I read it sounds like the ps3 version has the issue more often, but is easily fixed. If you buy a 360 and it RRoD on you, then you're out of a 360. I, like a lot of other 360 users, have never had any serious issues with my launch day 360, except for a few freezes that a restart fixed.

- jrm5100, on 05/04/2008, -5/+28As far as I know, PS3 freezes slightly more often but is easy to fix every time (just sign out of PSN). The Xbox has the RROD problem to worry about.

- krische, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7If its freezing during the "Loading - " screen, try signing out and in of the PSN. Or worst comes to worst, disconnect in from the internet all together. Worked for me and a lot of people. Rumor is, at that loading screen, it attempts to connect to Rockstar servers and I guess those are overloaded with the amount of people this week, so it just hangs there at loading. So give it a shot and let us know if it works.

- Kidman13, on 05/04/2008, -2/+7I'm wondering exactly how widespread this problem actually is on the 360. I have read a lot of comments on this issue and it seems to affect the ps3 the most. I have only heard this happen on one or two 360's, which would be about normal concerning the 360's defect rate, and thus it not necessarily meaning a problem with the game. Can anyone shed some light on this?
- jptolife, on 05/04/2008, -9/+6Damn that must suck ass. I beat the game and it didn't freeze once.

- specialK16, on 05/04/2008, -3/+15Yes, because all PC games are bullet proof with no bugs at all.
Patches? You can patch games in the ps3/xbox360 as well. - chazuk, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5Is GTA IV on the PC now? ***** have I been in a coma?
- UnWeave, on 05/04/2008, -2/+1Oh yeah great idea, because PC games are ALWAYS bug-less when they are released. Take Battlefield 2 for example. No way did we have to wait months for a patch that didn't even fix it properly. And not to mention the affordable price of a decent rig.
- gh0st3000, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2That's EA. Doesn't count. EA is the devil no matter what system you're running.

- neocr0n, on 05/04/2008, -2/+3I have a 80GB PS3, it did freeze once when loading a game. However turning off PS network has worked for me so far. Not froze since. Can't play multilayer at the moment I guess but I'm much too involved in the single player to care at the moment.
- chad3405, on 05/04/2008, -3/+5I have it for the 360 and have played it for hours without one freeze.
- elitexero, on 05/04/2008, -9/+29"people have lost not only 70 dollars on a game but their entire systems and will now have to spend more of their hard-earned money on replacements"
Yes, because when a game freezes inside my console, I just throw it out and get a new one. This guy's a ***** idiot, so it freezes, yeah that sucks, but making stuff up saying it's ruining consoles really reveals how much this guy knows what he's talking about.- krische, on 05/04/2008, -1/+9The only thing I could think was that he was alluding to RROD. Even then, its a free replacement, you don't have to pay for it.
- Devrdander, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2If a game causes the RROD it would blame it on probably Heat/Ventilation issues and the game stressing the console is just one of many catalysts. However i would expect the console to have internetal temp sensors to monitor for over heating, and warn and safely power down he console before that would happen.
Don't blame the game blame the console if its failing from running a "intense" piece of software...- krische, on 05/04/2008, -1/+1On most electronic equipment, that is what is supposed to happen. But from what I've read about the RROD issue, that doesn't happen on the 360. I remember reading an article about it some time ago, and what happens is one of the chips gets so hot and expands so much that it actually pulls its solder points right out of the motherboard.
- LemmingJesus, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2It's only free if you have three red lights. You're ***** if you have anything else.
- HolyChimp, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Luckily, odds are that your 360 will die of RRoD before any of the other components fail!
- BearinG, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1You make it sound like there's no warranty except for RRoD. The 360 warranty used to be 90 days.. was extended to 1 year. Now it is one year, and technically, they never ask for a purchase date or receipt (not to me at least) so you are good for your first repair (before the log the info about your S/N in their systems) anyway. RRoD issue, is covered for 3 years... again, no one from MS ever asked about dates.
I got mine fixed once for RRoD. Received a refurb one. They give you a 1 year warranty on the refurb.
After a while it was having RRoD issues, called them up.. got another one fixed. They give me another year of warranty.
This new one didn't have RRoD but had trouble with disc reading errors. I called them up, told them this wasn't my old machine and my old one didn't have disc reading problems (they know, they even say in the letter that your S/N as changed so its a different box.)
Got another refurb with another year of warranty.
I've been pretty satisfied so far. There's no way my first one would've lasted this long anyway.. not saying that its fine if it breaks, nothing ***** me off more, but at least they do honor the warranty. And considering that the replacements are refurbs from other people, its not hard to justify that the new machine you got is having issues that you didn't have before. They need to fix everything before giving it to you..
- Devrdander, on 05/04/2008, -1/+1Thank you, i was wondering how a piece of software could kill off a piece of hardware. I know there are malicious pieces of code that might attack a firmware or bios, but i highly doubt any failures (like the RROD) are directly the result of game and not of poor design or quality control.
- dib2, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1Since when did GTA 4 cost 70 dollars anyways? You can get it for 60 at Amazon and most other retailers.
- diabolicdiablo, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3I would agree with you if I wasn't in the situation I am in right now. I had freezing problems with GTA4 on my PS3 a few times and thought nothing of it after a restart. But the last time it froze up I powered down and rebooted and now my PS3 won't play any disc I insert. No Blue-Ray, No DVD, No CD, No games nothing.
Generally I would not blame software on a hardware malfunction, but after seeing my wireless router shoot sparks out the back ports after flashing the bios last week ... I just don't know anymore.
Fortunately, I'm not out $400 GameStop is faxing my receipt over to Sony and I should have a replacement PS3 shortly.- oojamaflip2006, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1Dugg for amusing little router story...

I had my GTA, played it for a day without problems and then realised my Ethernet cable was out.

- Lionhart, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2Just started playing it today. I turned autosave off to not mess up my friend's game, and so I did 3 missions without saving and bam, crashes right after the third. Decided I'm better off just watching some TV for a bit..
- neil1492, on 05/04/2008, -5/+3I am scared to buy GTA IV now. I will wait until Rockstar releases a fix.
- mistergoodburge, on 05/04/2008, -12/+3O your scared after seeing a video, why dont you grow a dick you stupid sheep, if this video got you scared to buy gta iv maybe i should get a video of hitler so you can get scared to go outside for fear of the nazis.....i hate noobs like you
- vincenzo7, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1there's just one hole with your comparison. hitler no longer exists. gta4 does!
- HolyChimp, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1He's been dead for 63 years, so he's not really that scary.
Unless he's zombie Hitler, that'd scare me.- mistergoodburge, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1well some say tupac is still alive

- TheFinaleofSeem, on 05/04/2008, -2/+10If this guy thinks that GTAIV is actually killing consoles, he's an idiot. Blame MS for their ***** design that can't take full utilization. If it's killing PS3s, then blame Sony. I fail to see how you can brick a console with a game that does not modify the firmware/OS.
- DetpackJump, on 05/04/2008, -3/+0Well, you could kill hardware by overworking it, causing it to overheat. I killed a PC graphics card like that once. Not sayin' that's the cause of the GTA issues, just sayin'
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3But this is a console. It is dedicated to one thing only, and it's supposed to be able to do that. If you max it out and stress it, it should not break. There should be no such thing as "overworking" a console, because you should be able to max it out for hours on end and have it work just fine. If it doesn't then someone at Sony/MS didn't do their job right.
- sdrumsalot, on 05/05/2008, -1/+0The console is simply a computer which the developers wrote a large program for. That program can seriously damage a system if not designed properly. For instance, you can overwork the disk reads (next-gen games kill the disk readers because games constantly stream from disk, not memory because you can only have a 512 MB footprint in main memory).
- doubledmateo, on 05/05/2008, -0/+0'Shouldn't' and 'Doesn't' are two different things. Granted this shouldn't be possible, but it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I personally think the RROD issues people speak of are most likely a coincidence, but who knows. It's totally possible that this game is more likely to push a system over the edge.

- diabolicdiablo, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2Then explain why I have a PS3 in my entertainment center that will not play any disc I put in it? Before GTA4 it was fine, after ... DOA. All I have now is an expensive media streamer/internet browser. I don't know how Rockstar's game broke my system, I just know it's broke.
I do blame Sony and not Rockstar though. But to Sony's credit, they are replacing my PS3, and their customer service was very good.

- VinnieDaMac, on 05/04/2008, -9/+4I haven't had any problems on the X360 version. I find it funny that many people bought it on the PS3 solely for the better "performance" and obviously PS3 is the one that is freezing.
- Proctor, on 05/05/2008, -2/+1Well, when it Red Rings you'll be saying "*****, I would've rather had it freeze and only have to restart the console, than spend $300 on a console I can't even play for a few more weeks while ***** fixes what they should have last year!!"
- Sham1969, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1quoting - "The potential consequences for Rockstar North and its corporate parent, Take-Two, extend far beyond some frustrated gamers. Take-Two has publicly rejected a purchase offer from rival Electronic Arts, arguing that the offered per-share price was too low.
Although Take-Two clearly expected that the enormous sales success of GTA IV would bolster its case for a higher purchase price, lingering or unresolved technical issues could dent that strategy."
Bring teh suck- graemee, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2> lingering or unresolved technical issues
That's a description of any EA game.
- graemee, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2> lingering or unresolved technical issues
- Jeffler, on 05/04/2008, -2/+5I wish it would kill my 360. The DVD drive is ***** and I'm not spending $99 to get it repaired just because its not the damn red rings. I can play games for about a day then they don't work again on the system (but do on others)
- JakeyG14, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Just leave the 360 running in a non-ventilated area if ya want to purposefully RRoD it, but do so at your own risk.
- HolyChimp, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Poorly ventilated area in a warm room with some kind of electric heater pointing at it. If it doesn't fail after an hour of that then congratulations, you got the one 360 they made that is reliable.
- Jeffler, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1I've tried it - I've 2-ringed it over 30 times, but I've never RRoD'd it. *cries*
- BearinG, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1When did you get your machine? is it a refurb from someone else? If it is a refurb, and its been less than a year, the it should be under warranty.. you basically get your warranty "renewed" for a year every time you get a new one.. take advantage if you can.

- mistergoodburge, on 05/04/2008, -4/+3How can someone be angry at the greatest game on the planet?
- dysfunction, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1When the greatest game on the planet has issues that prevent you from playing said greatest game on the planet?
(Btw, disconnecting from the PSN seems to solve it).

- blackhole82, on 05/04/2008, -0/+6Mine froze during the very first cut scene after install, 60 gb PS3. I disabled my network connection and now it works fine. If I have it enabled it will lock up during each cut scene.
- ChaosProfessor, on 05/05/2008, -5/+1mine didn't freeze after install...funny oh yah i have a 360 no install LOL
- rworne, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1It makes me wonder how Rockstar's QA did their testing.
My 60 gig was fine up until I fired GTA IV up one day to do my first job with Dimitri at the sex shop. It would lock up every time either loading up the save, during the video cutscene, or during the mission. It was amazing what I had to do to get it to stop doing that. While I did disable all the networking stuff, it still froze. Then I looked at the system to try to determine what had changed, and there it was - the external HD hooked to the USB port. I yanked the cord, rebooted and it's been two more days and many hours of freeze-free gaming.- blackhole82, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1That's weird that an external HD would also cause it to freeze.
- fr3ddie, on 05/04/2008, -5/+6i was about to purchase an xbox just for gta4.... changed my mind. thanks.
- GeckoSlayer, on 05/04/2008, -2/+2Depends, if you're going to buy a brand new xbox 360, you wont get the RRoD-related issues that older 360's had. If you get the PS3 version, which is the one that appears to be freezing, you're stuck with all this freezing and things.
- cadmiumpaint, on 05/04/2008, -8/+8eh..i was gonna get a 360 to play this game...i don't think i will anymore...
- obelisky, on 05/04/2008, -4/+6great, thanks for sharing
- cadmiumpaint, on 05/04/2008, -4/+3great thanks for being a douche.
- drastik21, on 05/04/2008, -2/+1am I going to have to call the wambulance??
- DetpackJump, on 05/04/2008, -2/+0Don't bother. I knifed the driver and drove it off the pier.
- se1zure, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1HOLY ***** ***** THREE ***** VIDEOS THIS "EPIDEMIC" IS GETTING OUT OF HAND...
Don't let this guy detour you from getting a 360. If he can get only 3 videos out of the millions of copies sold, that should be proof enough that you won't have issues.
- obelisky, on 05/04/2008, -4/+6great, thanks for sharing
- Strell, on 05/04/2008, -4/+2I hope he doesn't get so mad he starts jacking cars and killing old people and all those other crazy things kids do when they play this murder simulator.
- aspec, on 05/04/2008, -6/+5The real question is... where are these consoles sitting? They both get pretty hot, and if you've got it on the floor or in one of those stupid glass stereo cabinets... or just barely fitting in an el cheapo "entertainment center" from ikea, then you've got no one else to blame but yourself.
- ausfahrt, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5mine is on shelf in open no dust ... and i never knew ps3 had heat problem at all. Mine just freezes blame rockstar.
- dbXXd, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5What do you want these console guys to do?!? Hang them from the friggin' ceiling?!
- 10GunSalute, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3What the hell are you talking about? This has nothing to do with consoles overheating.
- doubledmateo, on 05/05/2008, -1/+3STFU, another person trying to claim that a major issue doesn't exist and that it's the problem of the user. What inspires someone to say that? Do you just get off on being condescending?
