http://digg.com/gaming_news/Best_Buy_Rolls_Out_Vid ... - Fu22yLojik, on 01/05/2009, -2/+39Damn good idea if you ask me, why not. Now if they could just create one that dispenses candy. I love candy!
- publiclurker, on 01/05/2009, -1/+31Don't the batteries in these things normally take a few hours to charge initially? Nothing like shelling out all that money and not being able to use it.
- vtbarrera, on 02/03/2009, -0/+24How about some vending machine hacks?
- itlnstln, on 01/05/2009, -3/+26that will be gone in a little while. Airtran will find some way to turn a DS into a bomb and claim that the terrorists will use it against us so all the little innocent kids won't be able to have their DS's on the flight, and I will be sitting two rows ahead of them listening to them whine and bitch about for the entire 8 hour flight.
- YoungBeur, on 01/05/2009, -1/+22Are you ***** serious? This was on front page just yesterday!! Digg algorithm at it again...
- krakkinem, on 01/05/2009, -1/+20You love candy? I also enjoy candy!
- Garmonbozzia, on 01/05/2009, -2/+15That's all fine and good, but where's the machine that dispenses bacon?
- Falkon, on 01/05/2009, -1/+13Do we need a repeat article? Seriously?
- Trifold, on 01/05/2009, -1/+12I'm assuming the system's come pre-charged? I know I had to charge my DS for like 6 hours before use or something.
- coyote1284, on 01/05/2009, -1/+12They're already in the restrooms. They're the ones with the picture on it that has the hands under the squiggly red lines that I interpret as "Push Button, Get Bacon". Unfortunately, they are always out of bacon and just produce the hot air that cooks the bacon while it's supposed to be dispensing the bacon.
- NovaPrime9, on 01/05/2009, -0/+10Wow. And I get pissed when my Cheetos get stuck and don't fall down to the retrieval slot. If my ***** *DS* didn't come out, I'd be doing more than shaking that vending machine.
- Jektal, on 01/05/2009, -1/+9Youngin.
- djmphoto, on 01/05/2009, -2/+10I want a vending machine that dispenses vending machines.
- franklymister, on 01/05/2009, -1/+8Is there some version of OCD that requires its sufferers to place apostrophes in inappropriate places?
- ChaosProfessor, on 01/05/2009, -1/+8when that comes out that better accept credit, could you imagine if it disperesed the smell while it cooked it there would always be a line
- ayeroxor, on 01/05/2009, -1/+8"vending machine let's you "
let is? buried. - Murdats, on 01/05/2009, -1/+8nono, they will make it that you can't bring your ds on board and you must buy one inflight for 5x the pice.
- spiderman222, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7This is old news...I've seen these for at least 2 years now.
- ChaosProfessor, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7this made front page like 72 hours ago now i have ADD but is it possible that everyone else on here does too?
- TelengardC64, on 01/05/2009, -0/+6Yeah . . . I've go't i't :(
- emjaymj, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7"airlines make you power the DS system off after takeoff so what's the point?"
Airlines make you power things off only DURING takeoff (and landing.) I fly frequently and I've never been on a flight that doesn't let you use electronics when you're at cruising altitude. - flangepiece, on 01/05/2009, -0/+6Gimme Slurm any day of the week.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -8/+13Vending machines in airports have been selling electronics for years. I remember writing a small report about them when I was in 10th grade, which would have been 2004-ish.
- Alphateam, on 01/05/2009, -0/+5I saw ipods in the Detroit Metro airport....I thought...I have to charge it AND somehow get music to it...all for the same retail price...what a deal.
- coyote1284, on 01/05/2009, -0/+5W'hat I do wi'th my apostrophe's is n'one of you'r bus'iness!
- coyote1284, on 01/05/2009, -2/+7Do we need a repeat comment? Seriously?
- xombi242, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5Already made front page duder.
- crysiss, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5In Scotland, apparently.
http://www.halfbakery.com/idea/Bacon_20Roll_20Mach ... - inactive, on 01/05/2009, -2/+6What about a vending machine that dispenses vending machines?
- squirmalicious, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5I love how everyone is using this guy's pic, but no one is crediting him: http://rbelliongames.wordpress.com/2008/12/30/best ...
Crediting some other site is just BS, 1UP. Are you journalists? Even bloggers do a better job. - sdave88, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4Gene splice vending machines are just around the corner.
- MadeInGuam, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4I'm thinking that Best Buy is assuming you can charge it while you wait for your flight. It probably won't be enough for a full charge, but enough to play for a bit.
And yes, I know what happens when you assume. - Filter, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4I didn't think it could happen but Best Buy has finally learned how to sell rip off in a vending machine. Yay for them!
- NidStyles, on 01/05/2009, -0/+4Those and iPod dispensers. Annoying how rabid consumerism is in society these day's.
- Mjeacoma, on 01/05/2009, -1/+4Pretty desperate seeming to me....
- tony2t, on 01/05/2009, -1/+4if they only had candy bars in there then I would be interested.
- coyote1284, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3But only after the suicide booths.
- Vodd9, on 01/05/2009, -2/+5I want a car in my car so I can drive while I drive.
- darkism, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3Now they just need to stock the machines with R4s and MicroSD cards to make the whole thing worthwhile.
- Ghstfce, on 01/05/2009, -1/+4I was at the Dallas Ft. Worth airport about a month back and saw a Best Buy vending machine for the first time. Needless to say I bought an 8gig iPod touch considering there was no little prick saying "Would you like our extended protection program?"
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3Take about 1 hour or less to charge fully, but it's charged somewhat upon first opening.
- ChaosProfessor, on 01/05/2009, -2/+5everyone report this looser, he joined yesterday 16 comments about this ***** electronics retailer. if you read the comments the way their spammer works is pretty cool though too fast to be a person but it has pretty cool ai
- mwalker05, on 01/05/2009, -1/+4im glad that we have reached the point that a $150 gaming console can now be an impulse purchase. im sure they are making money off of this, but this is exactly the type of consumerism that i hate to see.
- Philbert, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3Not to mention some planes have power outlets. Last plane I was on had them, but only for the window seat and I had an aisle.
- moethelawn, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3Push Button, Receive Bacon

- kingmanic, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3PSPs and UMDs have been on sale in Vegas vending machines for some time. At hotels and the airport. I don't think this is really news. I think perhaps the proliferation might be interesting news but electronics have been on sale in vending machines for a long time.
- GiggleStick, on 01/05/2009, -0/+3Sometimes it seems that way, but if you really .... Hey, let's go ride bikes.
