What word am I looking for here.......? - Samsong, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26Yes! I can play with my Wii with strangers!
- DCstewieG, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Uh-huh...
For one, I don't think anyone is confusing "online enabled" with MMO. That seems like a pretty elitist attitude you have over there...you can "only" play against other people? Gee. A lot of us (most of us?) have NO desire to play MMOs so online play like Halo is a hell of a lot more exciting.
If there IS any confusion, it's whether online enabled means Halo play like you were saying or just simple things like leaderboards, etc. - merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Good, now make sure they support 480p and a 16:9 display.
- Odjn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17If only online-enabled=multiplayer online, that would be good.

- Sccatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11The system is bluetooth, wireless headset ready :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Nintendo and Activision are kind of good buddies I guess. They were the first to put online on the DS too.
- futhark21, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Finally someone admits it. Been waiting long enough...
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9The SNK president said Nintendo wasn't allowing online for third party games, but it never made any sense. I think maybe there was confusion between retail games and virtual console titles, but who knows.
http://digg.com/gaming_news/Nintendo_not_letting_publishers_add_online_functionality_to_games - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Total War Franchise, Tenchu, Doom 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Soldier of Fortune, Tony Hawk, Quake II, III, & IV. Should I go on?
- loof, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10fanboy?
- theGrue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9And don't forget Guitar Hero 2! Not that they made that... Their logo is on it though!
- Renton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Or you could use the Ds's microphone through wifi...
a man can dream - Taromsn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'm not so sure Activision even MAKES games, they're a publisher, right?
- Admanta, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9The Tony Hawk series of games has sold very very well over the years.
- quantumsaint, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7There are USB ports, they could easily do a headset attachment.
- cesclaveria, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'm pretty sure I have played every marvel related game they have published.
right now I'm playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Ultimate Spider-Man.
Besides, the Call of Duty series is king in WWII games. - civperc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Awesomesauce!

"Didn't Nintendo say recently that they will not allow 3rd parties to make games with online support?"
No, they haven't. Where do you guys come up with this?
Even the president of SNK was TOTALLY WRONG the other day when he said that Nintendo wasn't letting anyone develope online games.
I'm guessing you didn't see the story about Nintendo having sent out the online developement kits to 3rd party publishers.
http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2007/02/12/it-begins-developers-starting-to-get-online-dev-kits/
"During an interview with Reggie, he reiterates that Pokemon Battle Revolution is still set to launch the Wii's online functionality in the US. He backs up this statement by also offering up that third parties are now finally starting to receive online dev kits, giving the hope that we could all be enjoying online gaming in the coming months." - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"Where do you guys come up with this?"
Scroll up. Someone already answered my question. So relax fanboy. As you can see. I got it from here on Digg. Go fig. :P - timbellomo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5shill

Actually Warcraft is quite fun.
WOW on the other hand.... - jlebrech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Activision: Please port Kingpin, but make the melee weapons wiimote swing sensitive.
- alexlinebrink, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32 words: Wii MechWarrior.
As Carl of ATHF would say: "YEAH BABY!" - hornec, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0TMNT on-line multiplayer would be cool even though it's made by Ubisoft
- GoldYoshi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Idiot, Elebits, a third party game, uses online functionality. Nintendo is free for online play, just no one is using it yet...at least that's what Nintendo claims.
- Sccatter, on 10/12/2007, -9/+6Wii jokes, welcome to 10 months ago.
- andreyseven, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0This is great news! This will make Wii games 2x more fun, and another reason for people to purchase the console!
- mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7For the record, warcraft is gay.
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Didn't Nintendo say recently that they will not allow 3rd parties to make games with online support?
- Raian, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Good news... too bad Activision doesn't make games people play.
- Link459, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Have fun with no communication what-so-ever.
- Zamfir, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Online! Wow... in what year will this be happening?
- kahnspiracy, on 10/12/2007, -20/+4double post, digg down
- shahruz84, on 12/17/2008, -24/+2Online enabled does not equal MMO.
Online enabled only means games you can play against other people, like Halo...
This isn't really that exciting... - MoeB, on 10/12/2007, -32/+3this is coming out in 2000never
