- Exhaust, on 11/09/2009, -3/+76Don't turn into EA?
Way too late. - MuseMike, on 11/09/2009, -12/+71***** Dragon Age.
- jralexander137, on 11/09/2009, -5/+49***** that. It'll just be the same ***** as CoD 4 and CoD World at War just different models to milk more money out of us.
- aizvek, on 11/10/2009, -2/+37How about Call of Duty: Zombie Apocalypse?
- MonkeyNews, on 11/09/2009, -2/+36Why is this a surprise? I assume Treyarch are developing this as we speak like they did with WAW and I guess it will be WW2 based.
I have no problem with that, I actually like WW2 games despite there being many of them out there. It makes a change from the other FPS games that are released.
I would also love to see more wild west FPS games like Call of Juarez 2. That was a great game. - fluidfoundation, on 11/10/2009, -7/+38It'll be out right after Left4Dead 5.
- iDiggYa, on 11/09/2009, -3/+32Who wants to bet that it will be a console game with mouse support for the PC?
- sentinel106, on 11/09/2009, -8/+30I'm looking forward to Modern Warfare 2, but please dear god Activision don't turn into EA pumping out generic crappy sequels every year.
- GrooveXP, on 11/09/2009, -5/+24Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
Call of Duty: Finest Hour
yeah no bad CoD games. - Hivetyrant, on 11/10/2009, -1/+20Then a media release saying that they are removing mouse support because they "Want you to play the game, the way it was designed"
- mark076h, on 11/10/2009, -1/+18The next step is making people pay for online play. Multiplayer will be like DLC.
- jwanderson, on 11/10/2009, -2/+19They turned a once young and beautiful franchise into a crack-whore. What a shame.
- jcsoc, on 11/10/2009, -3/+20Call of Duty 2010!!! NOW WITHOUT MOUSE AND KEYBOARD SUPPORT!!!! TO "BALANCE THE EXPERIENCE ACROSS PLATFORMS"
- poppabk, on 11/10/2009, -1/+14The head of Activision went on record as saying that they weren't interested in any property that they couldn't turn into a franchise with yearly sequels. They have already surpassed EA, at least they had some original one offs in between their barely changed franchise games.
- aetherboy, on 11/10/2009, -2/+15The reason they ditched dedicated servers was exactly for this sort of thing. They want to be able to roll out a new game every year and then force everybody to upgrade at full cost by killing the servers of the older version. Oooopps....can't play the older version anymore since we switched off the matchmaking server...looks like you need to buy 2010!!!
- TheSadRobut, on 11/10/2009, -0/+12I don't think that required use of your Billy Mays' key.
- Tyler2tall147, on 11/10/2009, -8/+20Call of Duty: World At War...
- stevets, on 11/10/2009, -3/+15You can't say that...Valve is immune to criticism.
Seriously though, I doubt we get another L4D sequel. I'm hoping the next thing we see from Valve is Episode 3...it's about time Gordon came and brought us all back to our roots. - rednaxela825, on 11/09/2009, -2/+13If I remember correctly, didn't they implement those ads that you can digg or bury so the advertising would be less obtrusive? Looks like that's working out great.
- AngryDeuce, on 11/10/2009, -0/+10Let's see if they even bother releasing this to the PC or cut the ***** and admit that they don't give a ***** about the PC market anymore.
- iDiggYa, on 11/09/2009, -2/+12The lack of punctuation and spelling hurts.
- alsazen, on 11/10/2009, -0/+10Can't say this new ad is a problem. Hardly noticed it since they aren't screwing with the page width any more.
I've only got 20 pixels or so either side of the page that the image can be seen in and I don't mind having a little colour. - daviz0, on 11/09/2009, -8/+18I will not be buying that either
F*** Activision - neomatrix724, on 11/10/2009, -1/+11And that is why they screwed over PC gamers. If you close off modding, you can epicly hype your game and then keep releasing new games every year or so so that you don't have to keep throwing out map packs and what not.
- LockeNCole, on 11/10/2009, -2/+10HI! BILLY MAYS HERE! HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO EXPERIENCE GAMING THE WAY IT SHOULD BE? NOW YOU CAN WITH ACTIVISION'S CALL OF DUTY 409! IT GIVES YOU THE POWER OF THE PC WITHOUT ANY OF THE HASSLES ASSOCIATED WITH IT!
- Spanq, on 11/10/2009, -1/+8I can't wait to get it so I can work on Humvees for 10 hours a day, sit around and watch sand, and argue with other soldiers about how Jessica Biel nude is or isn't hotter than Shakira nude.
- duggtodeath, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7For balance.
- agbullet, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6It was designed *for this screen resolution*, bitch. And you better like it.
- Darkaged, on 11/10/2009, -0/+6Seriously. I have blood all over my screen, the people around me think I'm Dexter.
- artfiend77, on 11/10/2009, -2/+8At this rate they'll be pumping them out like the EA sports games.
- shadowmanjack, on 11/10/2009, -0/+6Reports confirm that PC versions of this game will feature 3v3 multiplayer matches, no text chat support and randomly selected maps. And keyboard and mouse support.
- MrObjectional, on 11/10/2009, -0/+5WRONG=- Call of Duty 1 was followed up by the excellent expansion United Offensive.
That was follwed by CoD2 (also good). It's not been that way since "day 1." - canthraxp, on 11/10/2009, -2/+7Call of Duty, Activion's "Madden".
- rednaxela825, on 11/09/2009, -2/+7If they keep this up, they are gonna ruin COD just like they did Guitar Hero.
- jcsoc, on 11/10/2009, -2/+7WHAT?!?!!
- kerwinste, on 11/10/2009, -2/+7You see, EA brought the ad space.
- sebedard, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4AdBlock Plus.
- stewbiez, on 11/10/2009, -2/+6Was anyone not expecting them to release a cod game in 2010?
They have been doing this for 5 years now.... - woodychris, on 11/09/2009, -5/+9Yeah, why did Digg sellout with the damned background ads. My freaking eyes hurt. ***** EA.
- BabyWookie, on 11/11/2009, -2/+6None of Treyarch's CoD games have really been *****. Look at the ***** Metacritic scores, for ***** sake.
- ICasualty, on 11/10/2009, -1/+5Cool a new CoD game with less PC features. Now you have to buy a xbox controller for your PC in order to play!
- Phi01, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4don'r forget in game chat...
- macromorgan, on 11/10/2009, -3/+7Lots of EA hate in this thread, but to be honest short of Madden (and don't forget the Sims) they've done a better job lately of pushing new IPs. Mirror's Edge and Dead Space come to mind; and their wholly owned developers have done good too with things like Dragon Age and Spore.
Activision is the face of evil in the gaming industry now. - mabsark, on 11/10/2009, -0/+4Spore? Good?
- daviz0, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3could you imagine how awesome it would be if your could play in the same room on the same screen
- Dustmuffins, on 11/11/2009, -1/+4Modern warfare 2? That's the game I just torrented right?
***** you IW. - 2Bnor2B, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3I still think Spore could be saved but it would require a radical shift in its direction which Maxis would never consider. Galactic Adventures was a good attempt. They need to release free part packs and focus more on gameplay expansions, including a traditional multiplayer and coop. Think: Spore Wars!!! Still, it is only a shadow of the original potential that Will presented to us at the GDC. I had such high hopes back then.
- ontain, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3Pst. these are the guys publishing 4 guitar heroes a year :P
- agbullet, on 11/11/2009, -0/+3I'm one of "those" PC gamers and honestly, I would have been infinitely happier if they had just come out and told me from the start that MW2 would be a PS3 and X360 exclusive. At least then there would still be hope for a good PC version in future.
