- godphase3, on 12/25/2008, -1/+44I remember burning up my palms on that original mario party, I'm glad they learned their lesson.
- Fabbyfubz, on 12/26/2008, -1/+41I'm surprised they forgot to mention how WoW is like heroin for some people
- flyguyjm, on 12/26/2008, -1/+31and the list is all on one page. dugg.
- TrevorBelmont, on 12/26/2008, -0/+19I used to get big circular friction burns in the middle of my palm by playing Kano in the arcade Mortal Kombat. He had a move that required the joystick to be rapidly spun in circles.
The injuries were mere trifles compared to the glory of victory. - jakash, on 12/26/2008, -0/+17In a few years, we'll be talking about all the Wii games that gave us injuries...
- LawnMowerKitten, on 12/26/2008, -1/+18No man. All you do is run through the pretty forest and chase a big dragon. But you don't ever catch the dragon. You just... keep chasing it.
- chaoswings, on 12/26/2008, -0/+13Well to be honest it is not that hard to injure yourself (or those around you) playing the Wii. It won't give you fame like the guy who injured himself playing Guitar Hero would. That takes a special kind of idiot.
- treytravis, on 12/26/2008, -0/+13that arm wrestling game is still around in arcades in florida.
ive played it many a times - Displace, on 12/26/2008, -3/+15I thought they were going to have WoW on that list, for killing social lives and sometimes neglected infants.
- Fuckmypooplease, on 12/26/2008, -0/+10I can't believe this was a common issue! I thought I was the only one....
***** that raft mini game to hell. - dbhalla, on 12/26/2008, -0/+9If you take the colon out of the title, its a plan.
- Clbull, on 12/26/2008, -0/+9Still only on 1 page, and still dugg for that.
- mysn239, on 12/26/2008, -0/+8WoW KILLS BABIES
- FFXIfrohike, on 12/27/2008, -0/+7What about WoW and Diablo 2 for the click factor? Those are some serious RSI games.
- lowtolerance, on 12/26/2008, -1/+8Fight Night Round 2 and 3 used to wreak havok on my thumbs, at least on the original XBox. I'd get so into throwing haymakers that I'd have a massive elliptical blister on my right thumb every time I played.
- jamesmcm, on 12/26/2008, -0/+6I looked like the Stigmata after that bloody Shy Guy minigame.
- jermm, on 12/26/2008, -0/+6Spamming a is nowhere as bad as Mario Party, spinning the stick was a bitch
- dbhalla, on 12/26/2008, -0/+5No I was the best at all the games just mentioned.
You can be second. - philliesphan026, on 12/26/2008, -3/+8Looks like these games destroyed the server too (in my case at least).
Cache caught it:

"In a few years, we'll be talking about all the Wii games that gave OUR TV's injuries..." - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -1/+5Whoa… Hivemind…
- jbaringer, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4as soon as I saw the title, I knew someone was going to say the fight night games. I still play the game from time to time as it is great to play with friends and I find myself switching to the button mashing config because my thumbs would get destroyed so quickly with total punch control on the analog stick.
- Arth718, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3I remember burning a hole in my hand, twice. I was pissed when they just added the "push A and B simultaneously" instead of the spinning. The first game weeded out the weak!
- Topkill, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3The trick to the Banjo-Tooie ones were to not spam as fast as you could, the Canary Mary minigame had rubber band physics, if you mashed buttons like crazy and totally outran her you were just screwed.
- inactive, on 12/26/2008, -5/+8A Time to Destroy: The 3 games that destroyed their server.
EDIT: Mirror:
http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:www.destructoi ... - phbohn2, on 12/26/2008, -1/+3hrm...i think they could have found more than 3 games.
- dagr8tim, on 12/26/2008, -2/+4I guess I'm just really old. I remember rubbing my palm raw on an Atari 2600 controller. Them rubbing the pads of my thumbs raw on an NES controller.
- Slique22, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2Dugg for Destructoid.
- spritom, on 12/26/2008, -1/+3No mention of Berzerk? People (plural) died playing that!
- OkCyDe, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2A friend of mine smashed our living room chandelier whilst trying to do a volley in Wii Tennis. After the broken glass was all cleared off the floor I told him you can only do forehand and backhand. He said "oh"
- silophysis, on 12/27/2008, -0/+2Blizzard has a knack for making dangerously addictive games..
I remember a story of a Korean guy who dropped dead after playing Starcraft for 30 hours straight... - Halsfield, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2now thats an idea for a game, heroin-adventures, its an arcade style machine with a needle that auto-fills with just enough heroin to knock out a child , if you can stay awake you win, if you fall asleep you are a loser. how many quarters would that generate you think? probably more than the total profits of microsoft.
- deepfresh, on 12/26/2008, -1/+2FIFA hard! esp when i throw the controller at my mates face
- helenkupo, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1I had a coworker hurt himself on a wiifit.
sad. - adiggityam, on 12/28/2008, -0/+1Yes I was.
- EmOneGarand, on 12/26/2008, -3/+4they should have included WoW for its ability to destroy social lives
- viper098, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1How about dead or alive beach volleyball that game gave me blisters, but not on my hands.
- seanovan, on 12/26/2008, -1/+2Similar to Mario Party burns.
- MoisturePoints, on 12/26/2008, -2/+3You know how many freakin' blisters I got on my thumbs from rubbing the d-pad from these?
- Trebis, on 12/26/2008, -2/+3And the one game that put me in better cardiovascular health than I've ever been, and will likely ever be, in my life:
DDR. - voluntaryreflex, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1i was waiting for someone to mention street fighter too! ex plus alpha and some of kens freaking moves in it just killed my thumbs i had a hole in my thumb at least a quarter of an inch deep if not more by the time i stopped playing. (that'll teach me not to do all those challenges X.x...)
- bitbytebit, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1nintendo controller as a child, now golden tee as an adult.
after a night out at the bar my palm will be sore for days from that game - inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1Really? For sure I thought in a few years we'd be laughing about how anyone could ever take the Wii seriously.
- pappycack, on 12/28/2008, -0/+1Mike Tysons Punch Out caused me to get blisters on my palm. When ever I was knocked out, I would rapidly go back and forth over the B & A buttons with the base of my palm. Pretty stupid way to get blisters, but I was about 8 years old at the time.
- Metasquares, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1My wild guess on the arm thing was not quite as innocuous as the reality was.
- Halokhan, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1I sure do remember those Mario Party Days. My friend and I would rip out palms up trying to get that Shy Guy to fly farther around the room. Nostalgia!
- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1I can say the same about the mini games in the first Pokemon Stadium.
- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1You haven't seen those forbes articles about mcmansions and what have you.
