First, as I've seen it, not only do many of my game-playing friends have girlfriends, but their girlfriends are also beginning to play many more video games. Are they a representative sample of the entire world? No. But it's definitely a step forward.
And second, any DDR geeks out there could probably outdance your average meatheaded MBA or frat guy. We have *training*. Sure we're not going to hit the dance floor and step in four squares, but I can guarantee you that we can hold down a beat.

- spyseetuna, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1On a trip to the Philippines a few years ago, I found net-cafes all over the place. Bars with online gaming stations seemed pretty common. One place had the bar in the middle, then all around were 15 or 20 gaming stations. Another had pool tables and darts, a small dance floor, and a bank of computers. Guys and girls, smoking and drinking, flirting and playing Counterstrike or whatever. Man that was great.
The closest to that experience around here is the crowd at the local Dave & Busters, Gameworks or Lucky's. Not quite the same geek-wise though. - rrasco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0is that a serious comment?
