- Pzycho, on 11/06/2007, -0/+25The real issue is the format of the song. On guitar hero you are reacting to onscreen prompts to press certain keys. The keys are easier to hit, but the prompts are harder. As for an actual guitar, there is a musical relevance so if you know what the song sounds like and you know how to make your instrument play particular notes, its more of a skill. Sure, if you are just learning guitar by memorizing which strings to pluck when, then it probably is harder, but if you develop a musical skill for guitar then you are going to have a lot easier time. The two things don't directly translate.

Do you understand? Does it make him rich or famous? No. It's just for fun, and something to strive for if you are into playing video games.

"Grand Turismo" -- Yeah, drive a REAL car that fast on a real track and I'll be impressed.
"Halo 3" -- Yeah, kill that many REAL people in real life that are fighting against you with weapons of the future and I'll be impressed.
"Dance Dance Revolution" -- Yeah, dance that fast and accurately on a REAL dance floor without a pad under your feet and I'll be impressed.

I get so sick and tired of people who don't like shred guitar coming into EVERY thread on EVERY site with the same tired "this is not music and they have no soul" bunk. If you don't like the genre then don't post. You don't see me going into every soft rock thread with "these guys suck" do you? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's a song because it rocks plain and simple.
