- bigthree, on 07/15/2009, -1/+12I thought those graphics were amazing as a kid growing up...spoiled bastards these days get PS3 and the 360
- D3ltronZ3ro, on 07/16/2009, -0/+9Damn. Chiller was pretty graphic.
- jrm125, on 07/16/2009, -1/+8An original Asteroids arcade machine still looks cool. Tons of radiation probably coming out of that screen, but it's so bright and awesome.
- mentallyinhell, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6Whenever someone compares graphics on the consoles these days, I just tell them to remember the first video games they thought were great. That'll probably only work for a few more years.
- serif69, on 07/16/2009, -1/+4I always loved that in Boxing for Intellivision, you could only tell the left and right gloves apart because one had a hole in it.
- removesstains, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3I remember being scared of Dungeons and Dragons for the Intellivision when i was a little kid.
- Tiptup300, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2The goldeneye one was really stupid and specific.
- Zomgondo, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2I beg to differ.
- rif42, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2Alone in the dark was eerie, and I was not even a kid when playing that.
- tacojohn48, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2First console with a Blu-Ray player.
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1First console with a dvd player
- decoy9697, on 07/18/2009, -0/+1YOUR.
- thisisntjon, on 07/16/2009, -2/+3I wish I could digg you down a million times for that.
- GreenPuyo, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1Two inaccuracies in this article.
"First one-on-one fighting game: Yie Ar Kung-Fu (1985)"
Data East's `Karate Champ` was released in 1984. Unlike other fighting games, attacks in `Karate Champ` used no buttons, but a twin-joystick setup for each player; attacks were based on how both joysticks were positioned.
"First Single Console-Exclusive 1st Person Shooter: Golden Eye (1997)"
Actually, a game titled `Zero Tolerance` was released on the Genesis (aka Mega Drive) in 1994, long before `GoldeEye` ever saw the light of day.
(I may be wrong about this, but `Zero Tolerance` is the earliest console-specific FPS I can think of right now.) - randomizer9, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1Karate Champ might predate Yie-Ar Kung Fu as the first one on one fighter. Great fun back in the day: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8279
- Drull, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1Hilarious.
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -1/+0None of it's truly 3D, you're definition is arbitrary.
- Elranzer, on 07/17/2009, -1/+1Not a lot of firsts for Sony, I see...

- PlanckTime, on 07/16/2009, -4/+2I would dig this for Yie Ar Kung-Fu alone. I had forgotten about that game. Good memories.
- z7z1z0, on 07/17/2009, -2/+0They forgot NES Ninja Gaiden as the first game to use cinematic cut scenes.
- Shakuras, on 07/16/2009, -3/+1Damn that list was over before I could even start to enjoy it :(
- FaithclubDotNet, on 07/16/2009, -4/+1Anyone read Oolong and think,"Hey that's the rabbit that balances pancakes on its head."?
- chesscom, on 07/15/2009, -6/+0I think I've played every game mentioned there, some of them I've played A LOT!
- acitodg, on 07/16/2009, -6/+1I think Goldeneye is my favorite on that list.
- FortyCaliber, on 07/16/2009, -6/+1That first 3D game wasn't really 3D. It was simply a 2D Raster with a vanishing point. It was no more or less 3D than Doom or Wolf3D. Unless it calculates it's environment with a Z axis... it's not 3D.
- dmcaudio, on 07/16/2009, -9/+1First time someone got laid while playing a video game... still hasn't happened yet.
- VVilly, on 07/14/2009, -17/+2That is some pretty cool video game 1st
