If he had never been fired people would've considered Kane & Lynch to be a game that had a cool idea, but a terrible execution -- then we would've moved on from there. Instead it's now becoming a joke in the industry, and people are going to forever associate Eidos/Gamespot with this situation. Good going you corporate morons at Gamespot -- you lost a hell of a lot more money than you had ever anticipated!

If the higher ups at CNET have any bit of sense left, I have this vision in my mind of a bunch of people in a conference room on Monday morning. Head dude starts the meeting this way:

  • sadilak, on 12/02/2007, -4/+12Kane and Lynch is pretty crappy. I mean if Gamespot can give Lair a rating of 4, then Kane and Lynch is a 2., Crappy game. They just tried to sneak it in by releasing the game in between Halo3, Mass Effect and Ratchet and Clank and Super Mario Galaxy( and a few more good games that came out within the same period), That stratergy did not pay off.
