- SuperCosby, on 11/15/2008, -0/+79Chop Suey remake gave me cancer i think.
- chas46, on 11/15/2008, -7/+62 Bad music, good picture.
- JRjJ106, on 11/16/2008, -0/+48At least they didn't hire Avril Lavigne to sing it
Warning: This will probably make your ears bleed.

- MightyLime, on 11/15/2008, -4/+49I liked the version of Billie Jean.
- zedzedtop, on 11/15/2008, -0/+41Where did the cleavage shot come from?
- Akaziel, on 11/15/2008, -0/+33The Chop Suey thing made my soul cry. Plus, wow....I'd never seen anything for it before. Rock Revolution looks like an absolutely TERRIBLE game. And I'm going to wholeheartedly agree with the hate for the Heart-Shaped Box cover. I hated having to play that whenever I played through GHII.
That said, for their generations, I didn't think most of those were that bad, especially the #1 slot with the James Bond theme. For a game that was (according to the Wiki) released on both Master System and Genesis, meaning it was an early gen title, that's pretty ***** good. Seriously, for the time and technology there was only so much you could do with MIDI. Midi was good for making fantasy scores, but not so much for rock or pop or jazz. It was a new technology back then. It's like making fun of a caveman because all of his things are made out of sticks, rocks, and bits of animals. They did what they could to survive. - joeleslie, on 11/16/2008, -0/+28What was heard cannot be unheard.
- 42Vindictive, on 11/16/2008, -0/+19That is not fit for man or beast alike.
- afeitarse, on 11/16/2008, -0/+17Maybe it's the submitter's girlfriend's emo myspace pic?
- snobrder218, on 11/16/2008, -0/+16What.....the.....*****.....was....that.....
- purplesawdust, on 11/15/2008, -0/+12THOSE BASTARDS RUINED THE LOG?!

Blog: http://www.omgrpg.com/profile/crimsonandclover - JeffH, on 11/16/2008, -0/+10How could they mention Heart Shaped Box and not Mother?
Mother was one of the worst covers i've ever heard in my lifetime on GHII. - 13tongimp, on 11/16/2008, -0/+10List is total fail because number one should obviously be the awful version of "Don't Stop Believing" from the Atari 2600 game Journey Escape.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFVEtVEYtBw - justaddwater, on 11/15/2008, -0/+9Brings back memories. Those weren't all that awful, there's plenty of worse ones out there. I remember a Smurfs or Digging-related game on c64 had a much better knockoff rendition of Billie Jean than that Genesis game though
- jonlarge, on 11/16/2008, -0/+9Considering the technology that was available when most of those were made, what can you really expect? They aren't awful, just simplistic, electronic, and dated.
- azreal156, on 11/15/2008, -1/+10That singer completely destroyed that song...
I'm gonna go listen to Bubbles(the song) - ncapone, on 11/15/2008, -0/+8The Itchy and Scratchy Theme from the SNES game was pretty bad too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GEi5u57OMI - euro22, on 12/17/2008, -0/+8wow that bitch doesn't even know the lyrics.. "lalala"?? wtf?
- CJArgus, on 11/16/2008, -0/+7I like the Jeopardy one...
- fuzzynyanko, on 11/16/2008, -0/+7The dude playing Moonwalker is playing it too well...
- JudgeMonkey, on 11/16/2008, -1/+8I think the story revolves around some gangsters trying to save some children from MJ, and you need to go around molesting them, something like that.
- pvaras, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6No mention of the Journey arcade game? I'd say this sound file takes the prize.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3BDXlMtyUo - mmittimm, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6Ghostbusters on the Apple II sounded even worse.
1 bit sound FTW! - tzilla12, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6just listen to em all at the same time.. its pretty badass.
- ICSU, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6buried the article as inaccurate
- reaper527, on 11/16/2008, -0/+6GH and RB have been pretty much all master tracks after GH2.
- D3koy, on 11/16/2008, -1/+6I loved Michael Jackson's Moonwaker...The premise is so perfectly ironic
- T8erT0T, on 11/15/2008, -0/+5Ditto.
- Frophauser, on 11/16/2008, -0/+5My thoughts exactly. It's not really fair to compare 8-bit and 16-bit MIDI tracks made within the limits of the technology against fully produced crappy cover songs.
- scoottie, on 11/16/2008, -0/+5works fine on my FF3 on Vista
- Yage2006, on 11/15/2008, -1/+5You know its really not fair to include NES games on this list seeing as any of them would be awful by today's standards.
- IAmTheGuy, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is one of the best Genesis game I have ever played, if only for the laughs.
- cryonix, on 11/16/2008, -0/+4One of the best renditions.
Goonies 2 for the NES
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boTvpvKKCuY
which is the chiptune version of Cindi Lauper's good enough(also from goonies):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kMi9tvuuZY - nochilinopity, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3Activision had nothing to do with Guitar Hero II...that was developed by Harmonix and published by Red Octane.
- Khast, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3What really gets me, the NES had a better sound processor than the Commodore 64. (Was capable of 4 voices, and 1 DSP) yet the C64 version of Ghostbusters sounded 10 times better.
I used to have a C64 game which had Billie Jean as it's main theme, now that sounded horrible. - bmson, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3Jacky found allot of little children in this video...
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3I like the Billie Jean version. It sounds like Commodore SID almost
- snobrder218, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3I don't know whats worse...
The fact that the SoaD cover was so terrible...
or that someone actually bought that crap-pile of a game. - reaper527, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3i think that description was spot on. drunken frat boy sings soad. thats whats supposed to go into the mic when you play, not the actual soundtrack
- bipolarruledout, on 11/16/2008, -1/+4Your NEVER getting laid.
/I just couldn't resist. - hypodan, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3I found myself singing the words as I watched that video. Thriller is so awesome even the poorly composed genesis version gets me moving.
- otros, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2wait, it didn't just work?
- TehProphet, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2Yeah, being a huge Lamb of God fan that really pissed me off how they butchered that song. I think the chop suey cover was worse though.
- AlexTrampoline, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2I'm sorry, but the Lamb of God song "Laid to Rest" was worse than Chop Suey in that game. And I'm a rabid fan of SOAD btw.
- Play, on 11/16/2008, -1/+3buried for being one giant BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW-fest
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2That was such a fun game, and an awesome soundtrack.
One of a handful of games I really wanted to play to completion. - TWiThead, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2"Jeopardy! Junior Edition" and "The Addams Family" actually sound okay by NES standards. Though the otherwise sucky "Fester's Quest" contains a better rendition of the latter theme:
