- RunDiggMC, on 04/16/2009, -2/+85Wait a minute: Aren't Creed and Nickleback the same band?
- SirFragsMore, on 04/17/2009, -5/+50***** all those bands except Van Halen.
- jtbndy, on 04/16/2009, -6/+45TLDR
5. Van Halen
4. U2
3. Nickelback
2. Coldplay
1. Creed
Profit? - AlexSelby, on 04/17/2009, -2/+31Still holding out for Guitar Hero: Souljah Boy!
- smack1700, on 04/17/2009, -1/+29Know what wouldn't suck?
A Black Sabbath/Ozzy Guitar Hero.
Huge catalogue of songs there spanning almost 40 years now. - deadasdisco, on 04/17/2009, -1/+23Creedleback
- thegamingguy, on 04/16/2009, -1/+23Please no Digital Scott Stapp.
- mikevsshark, on 04/17/2009, -0/+21"There are very strong signs that Creed is set to make a comeback this summer."
Please God, no. - inactive, on 04/17/2009, -3/+20Metallica didn't need one either.
- kd420, on 04/17/2009, -0/+15Yeah, what the ***** was VH doing on that list? The others were complete garbage, it is a disgrace to VH to include them on there. I would definitely buy a GH Van Halen game.
- oldenburg06, on 04/16/2009, -0/+15Huh. They seem in place to me.
Your comment seems unclear. - arbysrocks, on 04/17/2009, -1/+15the top 3 bands there are probably the top 3 worst bands ever. i laughed.
- Natealus, on 04/16/2009, -4/+17Haha, I actually LOL'd at U2.
- luckyme77, on 04/17/2009, -0/+10With new instruments including:
*a stick and drum
*a microphone
*6 "hoe's"
Who wouldn't play that? - acklefutz, on 04/17/2009, -0/+10I just threw up a little...
- shauntacular, on 04/16/2009, -0/+10I think everyone can sing like Scott Stapp. Just put your chin out and roll with it.
- YoWhatDaFuxUp, on 04/17/2009, -2/+12Buried for putting Van Halen on a list with Creed, Nickelback, and coldplay
- Pseudorious, on 04/17/2009, -0/+9Spinal Tap
You would start at the Originals, then become the New Originals, then the Thamesmen, then the "hippie" Spinal Tap, and finally become the Spinal Tap we know and love. You would have to keep hiring new drummers, could hire the girl friends, etc. Would have to play random improvisational sets when the band breaks-up....
In summation, it would be awesome. - danwallace, on 04/17/2009, -0/+9Better yet, let's just not let these bands make any more music at all.
- mlvassallo, on 04/17/2009, -0/+8Why would Coldplay even be on this list? A majority of their songs are mostly piano.
- hilo4321, on 04/17/2009, -1/+8you better reread the title brah
- Topher06, on 04/17/2009, -4/+11None do. Honestly they can't make DLC that adds Metalica to an existing Guitar Hero game?
Metallica to me just seems be a bunch of whinny sellouts that assume they are still relevant today and expect big payouts for their music franchise and so don't want to play nice with existing methods of digital music/entertainment distribution. The Guitar Hero: Metallica edition came out because Metallica probably bitched and complained they didn't want their songs dumped into a game with many, MANY, other better artists and groups. Metallica is all about the money these days.
Seriously, I am sure the guys at Harmonic and Activision can figure out how to add in premium characters into the game along with their song downloads so you can have the pleasure of playing with some has-been rockstar. In fact having U2 or Beatles, or Metallica drop in characters and themes for $9.99 would probably make more money in the long run then whoring out another guitar hero franchise. - apec766, on 04/17/2009, -0/+7SUPAHMAN DAT HO!
WAH ME YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~
New Play Mode: Jarbled English Vocals! Know the actual words? Don't bother saying them! - tpmidd, on 04/17/2009, -0/+7I want a list of 5 Guitar Hero's that don't need their own Rock Band game.
- Exekutor, on 04/17/2009, -1/+8They need the money.
- Bloodwine, on 04/17/2009, -0/+6I'd like to play Guitar Hero: Symphony X
- TimTheSuperGuy, on 04/17/2009, -0/+6I just want to see more DLC for Rush.
***** is amazing - eggloaf, on 04/17/2009, -0/+6I think the animations after the song would be worth it. If you beat the song, he covers himself in oil and gives the audience the sign of the cross. If you don't, he covers himself in oil, gives the audience the sign of the cross, washes a bottle of pills down with a bottle of vodka, and punches his girlfriend in the face.
- skintigh, on 04/17/2009, -2/+85. Huge band that has stood the test of time
4. Huge band that has stood the test of time
3. Band that will be forgotten next year
2. Band that will be forgotten next year
1. I had already forgotten Creed exists - dejected, on 04/17/2009, -2/+8this is the worst list in the history of worst lists. Minus van halen
- rgf207, on 04/17/2009, -0/+6guitar hero nickelback. Sounds great. You only have to memorize 1 chord for all the songs
- ron7852, on 04/17/2009, -1/+6They need to make a GH : Thrash. That would be sweet. Bands like Annihilator, Metallica, Megadeth, Overkill, Exodus, Slayer, Pantera, Metal Church, Testament, Anthrax, Exciter. Maybe some Kreator and some Venom. Top it off with maybe some Exhorder and some good old school King Diamond/Mercyful Fate.... Now that would be a game worth buying.
- Gatesophile, on 04/17/2009, -1/+6I'd love a Nine Inch Nails Guitar Hero or Rock Band. The NIN song packs in Rock Band just aren't cutting it anymore!
- dirtymerkin, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Creed is the worst band in the history of music.
- ruarctb, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Not into guitar hero, but I'd buy that.
- ftc08, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Rock Band: Rush
Hardest game ever. - RegalBegal, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4this has to be a joke
- daimposter, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4yes, it's true. when Creed's frontman scott stapp committed suicide a few years ago to create the type of media attention that followed Kurt Cobain's death (which ended up backfiring as no one cares that Stapp died), the rest of the band moved forward with a new front man in Chad Kroeger and renamed the band 'Nickleback'.
The band continues to annoy people all over the world. - Jsmuli2, on 04/17/2009, -1/+5Van Halen would be good, just really difficult. The rest suck, especially nickle-*****
- deadasdisco, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4you seem like you know a lot about music.
- LoneWolf01, on 04/17/2009, -0/+4Blast off!
- xscraped, on 04/17/2009, -3/+7these band specific games suck. it's just a cheesy way to charge 60$ for a ***** album. put it out as downloadable content. no one one needs to see steven tyler, lars ulrich or anyone one else in pixels when its unnecessary.
***** activision. - dafragsta, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3yeah... isn't that pretty much every band? You can't fault a tasteful application of effects when that is pretty much part of the performance in modern music. Are you telling me Johnny Greenwood would sound good without loads of effects and a Kaoss Pad, because I don't think so and I LOVE Radiohead. You will never hear Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Portishead, Beck, or any of the really great musical exploration in the modern era done unplugged without sounding vastly different from the studio recordings.
- smemily, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3Still holding out for Piano Hero here.
- Funkleft, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3All songs, only on easy mode.
- Wesside, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3No one band should have its own full game that you need to purchase in the store. They should all be able to get addon's via DLC, but that's all.
- zakkysparx, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3Or sing while chewing on a muffin
- uncwidiot, on 04/17/2009, -0/+3That's the standard for both Rock Band and Guitar Hero WT already. Just gotta match the pitch and you can say whatever garbled mess you want.
