boards2.sega.com — A guy high on marijuana pulled out a Gun and robbed 50 something people waiting in line to buy a PS3! Police came too late and he got away with thousands of dollars and a laptop.

He didn't say he went to get another 360. He went to get a PS3 even though he never makes that explicit.

      On a side note, if the rumors are true that only the major retailers are getting PS3 shipments, and if this particular story is actually true, then I find it hilarious that not only did these poor people get robbed, but they're about to get robbed again when they find out that BJ's (seriously, there's a store called BJ's???) doesn't actually have any PS3's to sell.

      One of the side-effects of pot is that makes you paranoid, so you want to be especially careful NOT to do anything to get into trouble. It doesn't make pink elephants pop up and reccomend you get out your gun and head to down to Best Buy for a little armed robbery on your way to the McDonald's dollar menu. Alcohol impares judgement much more the any of amount of pot can.

      Another thing, marijuana does *not* come anywhere close to impairing you as much as alcohol, even in higher doses.

      Cannabis won't help such behavior but it isn't a magical herb that automatically turns a violent armed robber into a peacefull and law abiding citizen or into a magic rasta philosopher.

      Also, intoxication wise it is not a terribly potent drug either: it's relatively easy for a chronic user to bypass most of the intoxication effects almost at will.

    This guy would have robbed these people whether he had smoked pot or not. His reasons had nothing to due with the drug.

    If he had been drinking, on the other hand, it would be a lot more plausible. Alcohol is clearly linked with increased aggression and a lack of inhibition. Funny how that's legal and pot isn't.

The law-abiding citizens have no way to defend themselves, and, as usual, the cops are there only to clean up the aftermath, not prevent the crime from occurring.

    Think of how much differently things would have turned out had just a few or several of the folks in line carried the personal protection of a gun. Mr. Marijuana's body might be as riddled with holes as his dope-addled brain. Or he might have thought twice about trying the robbery at all since he would have had no idea if anyone was carrying or not.

    As it stands, the perp was confident in his ability to freely violate law-abiding citizens, proving once again the incredible ease with which a criminal can obtain a firearm, despite the laws in place for the "protection" of citizens.

    Will people never learn? I'd like to have seen him try that in Vermont.
