- BigDaddyGTrain, on 07/09/2009, -1/+10Mario Brothers is a timeless classic.
- g5gt, on 07/09/2009, -1/+8You can also add, Halo and Gears of War
- mentallyinhell, on 07/09/2009, -1/+6I still have some hope for bioshock. The other two are *****.
- hipstergrifter, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4I loved the Mario Brother's movie -- especially the incredible Italian stereotyping. It's a-meeeee, Mario!
- Minapan, on 07/09/2009, -1/+4The new mortal kombat movie will be terrible too
- neK231, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2atleast we still have Katamari Damacy you guys! lol
- jimmbofish, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2No doubt. Although this would be status quo for Hollywood.
- rednaxela825, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Actually, that was Nintendo with the stereotyping. The movie just tried to make a real-life Mario that was as similar as possible to the video game Mario.
- 7m7uf, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Honestly i can't see them not ***** up Shadow of the Colossus.
- duggtodeath, on 07/10/2009, -1/+2Buried. Hollywood ALWAYS ***** up video game movies and in turn movie-based video games suck balls.
- paOol, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1what ever happened to the World of Warcraft movie?
- mr138, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1The Mario movie was a stroke of artistic genius.
- Mtown, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Why does Hollywood assume Shia Lebeouf is a good actor? I have not enjoyed any of the movies he has been in.
And every time I see him I just want to punch him in the face. The way he looks and acts reminds me of the stereotypical middle school/high school guy who acts like he's awesome but doesn't deserve it. - Rainynite, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1Honestly I don't think they "effed" anything. we cherish these games as our favorites and expect them to be a certain way which sometimes cant be done in the cinema. so its not that they like "effing" up our games in movie form they just either cant pull off the same level of "awesomeness" or the game is so epic its just too much to live up too and anything a movie can do will disappoint due to you not being able to control parts like in a video game. so i leave with a final statement some games shouldn't be turned into a movie but instead the money should be spent to make a sequel game.
- Elranzer, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1Not casting an Iranian as the Prince of Persia is instant fail. Even casting an Armenian would have worked (there's plenty of THEM in Glendale/Los Angeles)
They could have at least gotten Billy Zane. - EatingPie, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1I don't know if Bioshock deserves to be on the list, assuming Gore Verbinski stays on as director.
Think about it. Verbinski made a great movie based on a ride. A GREAT movie... based on a RIDE!! And this game already has a story line.
Though to be absolutely fair, he'll need Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio (the writers) on board too.
-Pie - Elranzer, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1In before the fanboys cry "Peter Jackson."
Jackson was only set to product the movie, not direct it. So don't expect the movie to be up to par with his actual movies. - Elranzer, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1I don't think Bob Hoskins (who's actually British) actually ever said "It's-a-meee" in the movie.
- wontstoptalking, on 07/10/2009, -2/+2I don't know, I think a Halo movie could be fantastic if given the right director...
And after playing Halo Wars, I'm not even 100% apposed to it being animated...Did you see the Halo Wars cut scenes? Incredible.
Though I would probably cry if it wasn't live action.
