- identityxcrysis, on 10/16/2009, -2/+236Like SC2 will REALLY be out by then.
- inactive, on 10/17/2009, -7/+218Goddam, the lack of original ideas and fresh concepts reminds me of hollywood.
- jguy584, on 10/17/2009, -2/+205I just want HL episode 3
:( - Aggrocragg, on 10/17/2009, -4/+152No Duke Nukem Forever?
/s - summersam, on 10/16/2009, -1/+104Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2 aren't confirmed for 2010 -- D3 was mentioned as a 2011 release by Blizzard.
- urfaseLOL, on 10/17/2009, -15/+117wtf no final fantasy 13 and 14
- Alphonze, on 10/17/2009, -2/+93***** THING SUCKS
There were a few good games yes, but some definitely questionable choices... to have Army of Two and Postal 3 on this list, but only consider SMG2 and Fable 3 as only honorable mentions?
I mean seriously, I bet five bucks a third of those games won't even make it in 2010. Deus Ex 3? Crysis 2? I seriously doubt it. - Dougman82, on 10/17/2009, -8/+99Dugg for Mass Effect 2.
- master69better, on 10/17/2009, -0/+79Fallout: New Vegas?
- ThaDRD, on 10/16/2009, -24/+92Super Mario Galaxy 2 isn't on the list?
- PersianSpice, on 10/17/2009, -3/+65Postal 3? The hell? I have a strong suspicion that these guys just looked off a release list and named games off of that.
- Thistlejack, on 10/17/2009, -5/+49That list almost exclusively has games with weapons/explosions. I think a 13 year old boy put it together. Off the top of my head, Gran Turismo was the only non-killing game in the list.
- Newedge14, on 10/17/2009, -3/+46wait a minute.. I didn't think Alan Wake would ever be released, wasn't it being talked about BEFORE the 360 was released in 2005
- error792, on 10/17/2009, -2/+43GOLDEN SUN 3?!??!?!??!
- JonTheGoose, on 10/17/2009, -1/+40Lots of sequels, not a whole lot of new stuff....
- wontonforevuh, on 10/17/2009, -10/+46Buried for no Starcraft II
- AManWithNoName, on 10/17/2009, -7/+42GOLDEN.
SUN.
DS.
I'm sorry, but show us RPG fans some love. Not everybody jizzes their pants over gun-based gameplay. - Sloi, on 10/17/2009, -2/+31Dugg for Stalker.
- Charlie1er, on 10/17/2009, -2/+31Assassin's creed 2 is november 4th, in like 2 weeks.
- DennisOhlson, on 10/17/2009, -3/+29meh sounds like a boring year... the game industry needs to drop GRAPHICS AND DLC and worry about A.i. Difficultly And gameplay.
- Bartboy919, on 10/17/2009, -2/+26*Shakes fist* CRACKDOWN!!!!!!!
I wanst. - InfinitySnatch, on 10/17/2009, -3/+27The lack of No More Heroes 2 and The Last Guardian on this list is simply barbaric.
Barbaric! - Jaydo, on 10/17/2009, -2/+26Jesus ***** there could not possibly more overhype contained in one list.
- Saehild, on 10/17/2009, -1/+24I was hopeful that there'd be more conceptual games with the development of graphical power in consoles over the years, but it appears as though what has happened to the film industry has also happened to the gaming industry; spend all of your budget developing sweet graphics, leave out plot or artistic value. I want an experience, not another FPS clone.
- psolms, on 10/16/2009, -4/+27good list... im psyched for APB and MAG the most.
- iFrix, on 10/17/2009, -3/+26I looked at the list thinking it would be n° 1 the whole time.
Any list that doesn't include FF13 is just WRONG!
I know it's just my opinion, but I believe it is THE most anticipated game of 2010 (or at least top 3) Anyway, not even including it just wrong. - fsufanizzle, on 10/17/2009, -3/+25Mass Effect 2, that is all.
- Nintendesert, on 10/17/2009, -2/+24Postal 3? Now with more Uwe Boll. Yeah, that's gonna be good. Great even. Game of the year!
- TwwIX, on 10/17/2009, -7/+28Mafia II
Brink
Dead Rising 2
Assassin's Creed 2
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Half Life 2: Episode 3 (hopefully) - robertisaar, on 10/17/2009, -0/+20it's an honorable mention...
- thenorwegian, on 10/17/2009, -0/+20I thought Alan Wake was cancelled for PC? If not, I'm very happy now.
- Leo21k, on 10/17/2009, -5/+25Yay more FPS games. :\
Why do FPS get so much attention these days? I'm getting a little bored with genre and would like to see some big bucks being spent on making something other then another FPS... espcially on the PS3 or 360 which seems to focus too much on the genre.
I just traded in my wii to get a PS3 and was surprised to see there wasnt any mario kart clones or crash bandicoot type games on the system, stuff I could play with my GF. - RAAFStupot, on 10/17/2009, -4/+23Agreed.
I would much prefer to see a list devoid of sequels, FPS's & RTS's. - DhalsimHibiki, on 10/17/2009, -0/+18Dude, even the pic for the article is Red Steel 2...a Wii game
- isunktheship, on 10/17/2009, -1/+19Blizzard rule is as follows:
Date of mentioned release + 1-2 years = Date of actual release.
(Warcraft 3.. diablo 2.. world of warcraft, all follow this standard) - flossdaily, on 10/17/2009, -1/+19As much as I enjoyed Fallout 3, I'm much more interested in seeing their next Elder Scrolls game. Oblivion blew my mind. Sooooooo many hours of new and interesting gameplay before I even noticed how ridiculously repetitive and boring the combat was.
The next generation of those non-linear games is going to be incredible, and I get goosebumps thinking about what they will have to offer in 15 years or so. - MessiR10, on 10/17/2009, -6/+23WOW Cataclysm?
- supersonicjim, on 10/17/2009, -1/+18I cannae play it captain! I just don't have the power!
- Ancientdrifter, on 10/17/2009, -2/+18Seriously. Title should read: 20 FPS games to look forward to in 2010. Where is the goddamn variety?
- LOGNATR, on 10/17/2009, -3/+19That's because it may still slink into 2011. Blizzard is notorious for pushing release dates back.
- gobbleplex, on 10/17/2009, -0/+15RAAFStupot, new ideas definitely do NOT cost 'nothing' to conceive. Further, the risk to develop the idea once it is conceived is exponentially more than the previously larger-than-nothing cost. The market for untested, unknown products with no brand is extremely high-risk with potentially very little return in an industry where a single failure can spell the death of a company.
Sad to say, but people like you (and me, as well) are not the majority, and have historically proven not to be worth the risk to market to. - isunktheship, on 10/17/2009, -0/+14HOPEFUL MUCH
Starcraft 2 was planned to be released sept/oct this year.. will be going into beta testing Q2 of 2010, with an expected release of winter 2010, which is a more conservative estimate.
Diablo 3 is still hiring writers for the plot, sooo.. I'd estimate 2012, if you think that's too conservative then you don't understand the tardiness of D2 or WC3 - ban1d0, on 10/17/2009, -1/+15StarCraft 2 was supposed to be released this year, but they delayed it because they're still working on battle.net.

Is that seriously coming out?
You better not be breaking my balls bro.
I will come to your house and shoot you if you're lying that is.
One of the best RPG's of all time.. - ampdj89, on 10/17/2009, -3/+17Can't wait for GT5.
- iDiggYa, on 10/17/2009, -2/+15They didn't leave it out - it's just that Starcraft 2 isn't lined up for this year!
- Shadic, on 10/17/2009, -1/+14Sorry, I should have realized that I'm no longer a teenager, so every game I play should be a brown FPS with burly space marines.
- Sandkat, on 10/17/2009, -1/+14Blame it on Halo and the 360. Most of the popular games on the 360 are shootan games.
- 7aji, on 10/17/2009, -0/+12Buying properties was cool, but they took it too far in SA. I mean, do I really need to take CJ to the gym while my fat ass has been in the chair for the whole day.
