- whiskeyclone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+47I generally agree, but no love for Starwars, with lightsaber wiimote goodness and gesture based force powers?
That just isn't right. - cauleyk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+34I'm willing to bet that as many people will disagree with this list as agree!
- cheez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18what about a wii star wars game?
- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Okami is a natural.
I just wish someone would port GRIM FANDANGO. to ANYTHING. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c6ASUW4diw
I think we could all go for some NINJA GOLF on the Wii.
It's NINJAS playing GOLF. This game was so, so badass but nobody owned it! PUT IT ON THE WII!!!!!!!!!!!!! - TheYellowMole, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Bob Ross: The Joy of Painting
- Cerebral, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19I will agree that there are a few titles that should be on there, there are titles that do not make sense! Starcraft 2 and HL2 are the ones I'm referring to here. First of all we ALL dream about Starcraft 2 just coming to PC but to the Wii just because of the control scheme, NO! On top of that this article shows how stupid some people are as the Wii probably cannot handle HL2, and if it could, it would look like sheit. Also the person writing the article must have never owned any other consoles without the big N in the name. Who would want a point and click adventure when you have the updated version like that found in Indigo Prophecies or maybe this guy could go pick up a used PS2 and grab Mist. I mean with a setup like this topic is you would expect to find Nights on there at least.
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Not dugg for lack of Mario Paint in top 10.
- thisisbs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15i disagree
- ddb123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Dugg for Sam and Max
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Wii Cricket will have me as happy as a pig in *****, as long as EA Sports has absolutely NO hand in it.
At this point, I'd like to coin the title "Wiicket". - Antaean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9NiGHTS into Dreams.
A sequal. A remake. ANYTHING. - redb369, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they port half -life 2 to the original xbox?
Oh wait, yeah they did.
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/halflife2/index.html - SpectralSounds, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9No StarWars games on that list? Just think of how many things you could do with a wiimote in a StarWars game.
Lightsabers of course, Flightstick for millenium falcon, etc etc... - primehifi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8A real bowling game, a real fishing game, baseketball, olympics, soccer (with shoe insert for kicking), etc. etc.
- Kii666, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I'm sorry, but if there's one game that would get me to buy a Wii, it's a Star Wars game. Not HL2 and CS:S.
- SlackerCSB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Where's Mario Kart on the list?
- iam413x, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Was I the only person who almost cried after being reminded that there probably wont be a Beyond Good and Evil 2 or an Okami 2?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Captain Planet's Extreme Recycling Adventure imo
- chubbybubba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Black and white
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7What the hell!? Okay, here's my problem with the list - those are a great collection of games, to be sure, but what the article needed was to explain why they needed to be for the WIi. Okay, in several instances, they were cancelled Gamecube titles, so that sorta makes sense, but what we really need is for people to come up with creative uses for the Wii control scheme.
- Samsong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Starcraft 2 is in my dreams....
- soulpiercer7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I hear great things about Kid Icarus and Earthbound. I think Valve should straight up create a half-life game for the Wii. The franchise is amazing and I would LOVE to see it grace the big N. Half-Life2 is a bit graphic intensive. I don't think the Wii is up for the job. Let's leave that one for where it belongs, on the PC. Given Valve's amazing game design background, I have no doubt it will be the best FPS on the console for a long time. Developers haven't even scratched the surface of what an FPS on the Wii can do.
The Wii is its own system. Games should be made for it, rather that it being made to the games. - ALMEHDAAOL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7EARTHBOUND baby!
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+61. Find the only "i" in the a, or a letter that sounds like "i"
2. Add another "i" before it, add a "W" or an "M" before that.
3. ???
4. Profit!
EXAMPLES:
Wiigg - Digg optimized for viewing on the Wii
Miispace - Myspace for your Miis
Tsotmii - A renegade animated gang member in Johannesburg, playing Wii Sports
The list goes on! - diizy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5i cannot agree more!
WE NEED GRIM FANDANGO. for the wii would be nice. - bonyicecream, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5If Starcraft 2 came out on the Wii, I would work a LOT harder at finding a Wii! God, out of stock everywhere 23:59/7(as opposed to 24/7) for like 2 months now!
- gelgod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Drum Hero!!!!!
- Zephkiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5NiGHTS?
- quiltmaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4DEAR GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???
- grumbel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Half Life 2 was already ported to the XBox1 and unlike Doom3 it doesn't require all that shader stuff, so doing it on the Wii shouldn't be that complicated.
- MasterSharma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Sam & Max for the win
- jkc120, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4While it doesn't exist as an actual game (yet?), I'd LOVE to see a Jedi Knight type game on the Wii, with the wiimote being moved to emulate the swinging of the light saber. That would be truly fun, and I'd go out and buy a Wii the second said game came out. :)
- elroy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think the Wii would be perfect for Boonga Boonga!
http://www.destructoid.com/japan-game-watch-boonga-boonga - ggudggid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The Wii needs a flyfishing game.
- spencewah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4List seems kinda stupid, it's just a bunch of traditional games that the author wants to see ported. I was hoping for something more imaginative, "dream games" that could only be played on the Wii's controls.
Buried for lame. - Doktag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Black & White would be my dream game for the Wii, especially with the whole gestures interface. Incorporating the wiimote to make the gestures just seems so natural. Sadly though, I don't think we'll ever see a Wii version of Black & White, as Microsoft has now purchased Lionhead Studios.
- proghead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3if there are any fencing enthusiasts out there, they will sympathize, but the wii is literally BUILT for a fencing game. No other console could pickup the subtle nuances of blade positions and doing beats/parries disengages at high speeds.
- dumpling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3how is okami not number 1?
- MatttK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I don't really want a bunch of ports, like this list describes. :/
Where's a Star Wars lightsabre game on the list!!!! - patrickloggins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3MARIO PAINT, SUCKAS
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Starcraft is a terrible idea for a "future Wii game". There are not nearly enough buttons. Who the hell that plays (and is good) only uses a mouse? There are many, many hotkeys to build, upgrade, and move your units.
- DJCult, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3God, I love Tim Schafer. And his games.
I'm selling these fine leather jackets...
I'm Guybrush Threepwood, a mighty pirate!
Every time I smell asphault, I think of Maureen. - ldkronos, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I agree.......with 10% of the list
- gharding, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4As long as it has ONLINE PLAY I couldn't care less if it was Barbie's Dream Castle.
- quiltmaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Dugg down for that god awful pun. Wii get it people Wii sounds like we. Do wii really have to pun the name to death?
- skymt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No they didn't, it's number 1. Portal comes with Half-Life 2: Orange.
- pentomino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There's a game called Block-Out that was available for the PC and some third-party computers back in the 90's; it was a kind of 3D tetris, and it would be excellent for the Wii. It would be excellent for any console with enough buttons, but, come on. The Wiimote would make it much easier to figure out how to rotate the pieces; there's not really a good way to map three-axis rotation to a grid of buttons.
- stewacide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I would *love* to play Okami but got rid of my PS2. It seems like such a natural fit for the Wii, both in terms of control (w/ the paint brush), and the kind of game that it is (quirky adventure game), I don't see why Capcom doesn't try to make good on their investment and give it a second life on Wii.
- acebrickman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2linkage, sorry: http://ps2.ign.com/objects/017/017479.html
