- yocouchdigga, on 07/01/2009, -3/+124an FFVII movie!? ***** horrible idea and it gets worse, FTA:
"Admittedly he's a goofball at times, but Shia LaBeouf is a favorite of Spielberg. Having carried the successful 'Transformers' films, he could do a fine job as Cloud Strife. Because sex sells, we'd cast Angelina Jolie as Tifa Lockhart, Cloud's childhood friend and companion on this epic journey to save the world. "
Shia LaDouche as Cloud!, Angelina Jolie as Tifa!? There's so much wrong with this... - SushiCW, on 07/01/2009, -4/+121You have died of dysentery.
(Credits Roll) - IvenomI, on 07/02/2009, -1/+67Christian Bale as Solid Snake?
***** no.
Get David Hayter to do it, he already HAS the voice, and he somewhat looks the part.
Also: The Oregon Trail movie would be three minutes long. It would show the crew embark on their journey and then die from dysentery - nick041, on 07/02/2009, -7/+68The first 5 are being made into a movie.
Here's my top 10.
1. Not

4. Single
5. Game
6. Should
7. Be
8. Made
9. Into
10. A Movie
Bonus, 11. Seriously, not one. - Agamemnon582bc, on 07/02/2009, -4/+58What, no Half-Life? No Diablo? No Mass Effect? No Crysis?
FFS, if you're going to do a list, don't put filler in like "The Oregon Trail" and "inFamous." - LucasVB, on 07/02/2009, -2/+52What a ***** list.
- tseddon, on 07/02/2009, -2/+40Half-Life.
- MisterEX, on 07/01/2009, -9/+44Maggie Gyllenhaal?? Seriously guys, what's the appeal with her?
- Minapan, on 07/01/2009, -2/+35i would like to see a fallout movie
- orangefly, on 07/02/2009, -2/+34tetris....
- bubbameister33, on 07/01/2009, -1/+27Newcomer Ryan Reynolds?
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -3/+27No. OoT and FFVII are sacred. Leave them alone.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -4/+28She's goofy-cute and not made of fake.
- franlever, on 07/01/2009, -6/+30Where is Monkey island?
- Ceryn1126, on 07/02/2009, -2/+21I don't know why people are digging you down... A Final Fantasy movie would be just as bad as all of the other horrible adaptations of Anime / Games we have had recently. Dragonball??? This concept has grossed millions and they still can't help but ruin it. What makes anyone think they would do better with Final Fantasy is a mystery to me. Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li (I only watched 10 minutes, but those are still 10 minutes I'll never get back.) Some things just shouldn't be made into live action.
- bluerazor413, on 07/02/2009, -1/+17that makes absolutely no sense
- primatage, on 07/01/2009, -3/+18somewhere in the south pacific.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+14SHIA LEBUF AS CLOUD?!?!??!?!?
WHAT THE ***** IS THIS *****!?!?!??! - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -2/+16if they made a movie out of that peter jackson would have to get his hands on it before Michael Bay, otherwise it would be terrible.
- Hraes, on 07/02/2009, -0/+14Those picks for FFVII were downright awful.
- 157086, on 07/02/2009, -2/+1611. Pong
- Colmillionaire, on 07/02/2009, -2/+15A Zelda movie might smell disaster, I AM A HUGE ZELDA FAN, favorite series of any video game out there, but just check this out.
The movie would be 40 hours long. Link venturing his way through 5 or 6 temples, countless bosses, and an epic fight between Ganon.
You would have so much terminology to remember throughout the movie your temples would explode in a creamy delight.
I for one would LOVE A ZELDA MOVIE, yet, if they make one, it will be the riskiest thing to ever pull off. - jeexbit, on 07/02/2009, -0/+12Exactly. If it's a good game, the movie won't live up to it - if it's a bad game, the movie shouldn't be attempted in the first place.
- Agamemnon582bc, on 07/02/2009, -6/+17FYI, hating FF7 stopped being the "cool" thing to do in 1998.
Although I agree Shia LaBeouf and Angelina Jolie are terrible picks. - getpumped87, on 07/02/2009, -2/+13buried for no God of War
- atm259, on 07/02/2009, -0/+11I would be on the edge of my seat the whole movie....
- rocknog, on 07/02/2009, -1/+12Contrary to popular belief, there's nothing inherently flawed about the concept, it's just that Hollywood generally tends to just completely ignore what made the game so great in the first place. Case in point, Resident Evil worked as a movie, as you pointed out. Why? Because it had ***** zombies and the ***** Umbrella Corporation. It was like, my God, someone spent five minutes playing the game before deciding to make a movie. At the other end of the spectrum, you have Doom, which could've been a kick-ass movie if they had just remade Aliens using demons, but nooooooooo, that was apparently too ***** simple. To this day, it boggles my mind that they could ***** up such a simple concept as having a group of space marines mow down hordes of demons and zombies.
- afreeman1986, on 07/02/2009, -1/+11Video game Nostalgia + Hollywood = |*****| (For those that have forgotten simple algebra, that's 'Absolute *****')
Please, Hollywood. Don't ruin Fallout 3, Zelda or Final Fantasy 7. Any GOOD game for that matter.
I will unleash Ifrit if you ruin Metal Gear Solid. God help me.
Advent Children was good enough without you coming in and '*****' my good memories. - Hraes, on 07/02/2009, -0/+10Yes to Half-Life. Diablo only maybe--actually on second thought Guillermo Del Toro might do Diablo quite nicely--but Crysis didn't have a story worth mentioning.
Didn't have the patience for Mass Effect. - Chaotyk, on 07/02/2009, -1/+10Two hours of stealing cars, shooting *****, ***** prostitutes and receiving phone calls from your cousin.
Brilliance. - mentallyinhell, on 07/01/2009, -1/+10The reason I hate movies based on games is because they never seem to want anything to do with the original source material. And a game like Starcraft would be a great movie if they just followed the storyline.
- CrazyEddie041, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9Angelina Jolie I can at least understand as Tifa, but... Shia LeBeouf??? What the hell got into them??
- Sabretou, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9***** you, Made should totally be above Single.
- Chaotyk, on 07/02/2009, -0/+8Let's not forget Max Payne, in which the characters were mixed up beyond recognition, and Hitman, in which any semblance of character, storyline or style that was present in the games was simply thrown out.
- ryrocker, on 07/02/2009, -0/+8a movie where the main character hides in a box for hours?
id watch it - RichardTG, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8How can this list be popular on digg?? This is one of the lamest gaming lists I ever seen, it looks like some wanna-be 12 year old has written it. What next? List with the bigest poops in the game Top 100? What were they thinking!?
Burried - alclone, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8who the ***** burried this man down
- oblivionatm, on 07/02/2009, -0/+7Bravo, i'm with you all the way. *slow clap*
- trackandfield, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8I would too... Good thing "The Road" is coming out soon.
- Hraes, on 07/02/2009, -0/+7MERYL!
- JeffDUpp, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8I've never heard of any of those games.
- matticusf1nch, on 07/02/2009, -2/+9No one seemed to think about having Liam Neeson reprise his role in a Fallout 3 movie. Which is a must-have.
- isunktheship, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8Seconded
- tmyprod, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8I don't care if he's 80 by the time they make the movie, but Kurt Russel HAS to be Solid Snake.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+6Will the L-piece flip over in time!?!?!?!
- tehrich, on 07/02/2009, -1/+7How about no to all of them?
- uberduger, on 07/02/2009, -0/+6I like number 3. Sounds artistic.
- Shadic, on 07/02/2009, -1/+7FF9 had rehashed characters? Zidane is just about the only non-angsty male lead we've seen in a 3D Final Fantasy. Add in great side characters such as Vivi, I don't really see what the problem with the game was.
- forcwithu, on 07/01/2009, -2/+8idk about some of these....
- IvenomI, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5Plisskin for the win.
