- inactive, on 10/23/2009, -4/+29Am I the only one who was expecting Leonidas, Hannibal, Socrates, and Napoleon? At the very least, Jesus?
- inactive, on 10/23/2009, -1/+12It's okay as a list I guess, but there is a serious lack of "game" in the headline.
- IvenomI, on 10/23/2009, -3/+12Dugg for Cyrus
Bonus points for Leo. - tehk1w1, on 10/22/2009, -1/+9I shed tears for Captain Price. Not because his death was sad, but because it was epicly badass.
- Strategiry, on 10/23/2009, -2/+8Pretty annoying list to go through, just a wall of text without even an image for each character...
- sabach, on 10/23/2009, -1/+6mmmm...custard
And Custer and his men were slaughtered because he was an arrogant idiot. - gizram84, on 10/23/2009, -0/+4mine had images
- CptBuck, on 10/23/2009, -3/+7"En Taro Tassadar"
- jtbndy, on 10/23/2009, -0/+4I would get that checked out if I were you.
- sabach, on 10/23/2009, -1/+4Napoleon died in prison.
- sagradia, on 10/23/2009, -3/+6How did this get dugg? What a useless list.
- Halsfield, on 10/23/2009, -0/+3You mean Custer?
- styx31989, on 10/23/2009, -0/+3Have you ever played Metal Gear Solid?!
*****. BAD. ASS. - frampton1, on 10/24/2009, -0/+2to friggatry, it doesnt say game in the title, but the pic clearly says its from Game On, a Game Review Podcast. and the website is thegamereviews.com
- kokuei, on 10/23/2009, -2/+4That wasn't a totally badass last stand.
- KrashTheMighty, on 10/23/2009, -0/+2how dare they not include books in the gaming section of Digg thats ignint
- stuffgamerslike, on 10/24/2009, -1/+3Thumbed down for clicking on an article that had a picture saying GAME ON and that was filed in the gaming section and still expecting REAL heroes.
What an idiot. - Dabek, on 10/24/2009, -0/+2Where?
- KrashTheMighty, on 10/23/2009, -0/+2WURDS AM HRD MORE HALO
- Shadowhawk109, on 10/23/2009, -0/+2He may or may not have lived - the Infamy trailer for MW2 vaguely shows him.
- stuffgamerslike, on 10/23/2009, -1/+3What part about "presumed dead" and "he journeyed into hell" was confusing?
- NeoTechni, on 10/23/2009, -0/+2I would have dugg it for Zack Fair (Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core), but I can't digg a multi-paged article.
- FROGMAN9, on 10/23/2009, -4/+5COD 4 should have been the most bad-ass thing on the list. i shat so hard when price slid the pistol over to me that i had to wear diapers for the next few months.
- Shadowhawk109, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1http://www.infinityward.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... more here.
- palehorse864, on 10/23/2009, -1/+2If this were a list of real people, they should include Pancho Villa if only for his anticlimactic last words.
"Don't let it end like this. Tell them I said something." - IvenomI, on 10/23/2009, -1/+2Dugg for Jesus.
Let the down-digging commence. - Goldsun1715, on 10/28/2009, -0/+1The Doom Marine never died, I don't understand why they said "his fate is unknown"... I don't think they beat the game. -_-;
"Because, let’s face it, he journeyed into Hell. Unless you’re Jesus, Persephone or a tragic musician named Orpheus, that’s usually a one-way trip."
The ending stated: "[the marine was] proven too tough for Hell to contain". - sagradia, on 10/23/2009, -1/+2You hit it right on.
- stuffgamerslike, on 10/23/2009, -0/+1People actually read Halo books!?
Haha, I kid. Fall of the Reach was pretty decent. - Shadowhawk109, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1The guy strangling the guy in the SWAT gear, when slowed down, has Price's signature handlebar mustache (I'd argue all of the face is identical...). And on the boat, while your character is firing the SMG, the other guy is wearing Price's hat and has a British flag sewn on his jacket.
i'd give the link to like...the play by play of the strangle from the Infinity Ward forums, but they're infested with ***** so I can't find the bloody thing.
Also, Price's voice actor confirmed he was doing stuff for MW2; that may mean another flashback mission though. - jackalsclaw, on 10/23/2009, -1/+2I was thinking of Leonidas (Thermopylae), James Bowie (Alamo), Tadamichi Kuribayashi (Iwo Jima)
- Cain141, on 10/22/2009, -6/+6I'm a huge fan of CoD so glad to see it make the list...
- stuffgamerslike, on 10/23/2009, -1/+1IMO I prefer multi-paged articles over huge walls of text.
- PhogHawk, on 10/23/2009, -2/+1Dugg for Socrates (Required man reading: The Apology)
- Tiptup300, on 10/23/2009, -2/+1No Halo: Ghosts of Onyx? It's not a game, but it's a book based on a game and the ending is fantastic.
- ezzalgames, on 10/23/2009, -2/+1I always make those mistakes.
- Codik, on 10/23/2009, -4/+3Dugg for FFVI's Leo and the jab at FFVII. Still not a great list though...
- kaosethema, on 10/24/2009, -3/+1umm, i was expecting REAL heroes...
buried - uncoolsauce, on 10/23/2009, -2/+0Gremio. Closed a one-way door to prevent entire party (especially Young Master) from getting eaten by man-eating spores. Extremities, skin, EYES, eaten as he spoke his last words. While worrying about laundry and cooking stew.
- CptBuck, on 10/23/2009, -5/+1(I'd like to think this a better version of the "Wheres _____?" post)
- Ziriux, on 10/22/2009, -6/+1Of course call of duty is in there.
- Zera, on 10/23/2009, -6/+1FFS this list is about video games?
Edit: And number 5 on the list is DoomGuy???
"While the fate of the Space Marine is unknown"
"making their departure from this world"
WUT - numberneal, on 10/22/2009, -11/+2what no custard?

What is Digg?
