I actually saw him randomly at a "meet and greet" of his at Tower Records in Manhattan a couple years ago. The problem was, of course, that no one wanted to meet and greet Carrot Top. So, I was browsing the racks, looked up, and thought "oh weird, that guy looks like Carrot Top...why is he sitting at that table by himself? are those posters? oh...that's Carrot Top." He then looked over at me, and I glanced away so as not to commit myself through eye contact.

It could be shrugged off when a celebrity make jokes about you being really ugly and useless on TV, but when they all say the same thing, that must be brutal. I really did feel bad. He wasn't even interested in his material anymore once he finally got up for his turn.

A few random big games that have came in the last few years or so:
Crysis, fairly generic big muscly soldier.
Portal, fairly average looking person with leg springs.
Halo *, looks like a robot, unlikely to have human look-a-like
Call of Duty *, solider.
Assassins Creed and Oblivion, medieval-ish looking characters.
Yeh, a lot of those games you can recognize by their characters, but in 15-20 years, will people be able to tell the difference between the Crysis grunts and Gears of War's?
Compare these to, say - Mario, Yoshi, and.. most of the Nintendo characters.
