    It's the same idea as the little red ball. Obviously it wouldn't sound very good, but if it sent a wireless audio stream, that could be greatly improved. The right idea:

    That little red sphere is going to be all over the place. If it has a speaker in it it is going to sound like your handphone and the vibration will affect the needle's tracking-which is non existent. If the disc floats in the air it will only float a few millimeters above air and it will not spin at a consistent 33 1/3 rpm.
    So it is pure fanasy, and cannot work, not for another 20 years anyway.
