Btw, if you like Tesla coils, check this project from Lightning on Demand:
http://www.lod.org/LightningLab/LightningLab.htm
They're trying to build a lightning lab, which would consist of huge twin Tesla coils with observation decks at the top. Not sure if this is going anywhere (I doubt it is), but it might interest someone else. - AlanOrozco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5http://tesladownunder.com/TeslaRotBreakoutTopView1000.jpg
(Ai3d got it, not me) - SlvrEagle23, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Hey, wait a second...
The Tesla coil thing is promoted to the homepage once every few months...the note that it's a duplicate gets dugg up, the "nobody cares" comment gets buried...but the article only appears about once a month.
Some stupid-ass internet game gets on the homepage once, then again four days later, then again a week after that, and the remarks that it's a blatant duplicate are buried immediately and people rally behind the "nobody cares" comment.
I'm sorry...but what the ***** is wrong with you people? Is it opposites day or something? :P - chewy5000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You give aussies a bad name, MCR. I bet you were in the Cronulla riots

- Demaskee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23Tesla Coils are cool. People that own them usually aren't.
- LucasVB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19But... Nikola Tesla was cool!
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Note to self: Cancel order for large Tesla coil.
- JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5But... Nicola Testa didn't get laid ever. In his 82 years of life.
- Jarasmen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Well he should've.

Down with blog/crappy website spam!- wazzledoozle2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Here's the original site-
http://tesladownunder.com/
Dont digg down the original site, this crappy google ad mirror is broken. - Skizmo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1dugg down twice
- wazzledoozle2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Probably the submitter. Google should restrict putting ads on mirrored pages in their EULA.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Everybody, check out that Tesla Down Under site. I saw it on digg one time a couple months ago, and read everything I could; they have some REALLY cool stuff there.
- wazzledoozle2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Here's the original site-
- shawnz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7no digg, not enough ads.
- norbiu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The only thing I'm seeing is Google ads and a ***** beaver
- Ibox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Pretty!!!!!!!
- cielo23, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3If Nikola Tesla had successfully marketed wireless power....then we would be wardriving to charge our cell phones....
- gr4yscale, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I just saw an article on digg recently about wireless power...within the next few years we should be able to do just that...charge our cell phones wirelessly ;)
- tep200377, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5OMG I START TO HATE SITES THAT DOESNT TAKE THE HEAT !!! Please stop posting sites that doesnt manage more than 10 visits a day
- Draje, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Agreed. I'm getting fed up with sites going down so early.
- Tesladownunder, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1In the last 6 months to July 1, I have received just over 10,000 Diggs for this stuff and just over 1TB (=1000 gig) bandwidth. That is a lot more than 10 visits. Longest downtime in this time was just over 24h and should be a lot better now with increased bandwidth.
- RandoTheKing, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I'm fed up with people posting the same thing every month. Burried. This shouldn't be on the front page. Digg is seriously flawed.
- Bob042, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Since the site is pretty much dying, here's a youtube video of a tesla coil as "car thief protection".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nRqbQr7VGk- nepawoods, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Here's a big one: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7922453680380751905
- Aaronoaxaca, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0this guy even used bolts of electricity to power remote controlled model boats earlier last century..way ahead of his time..can't find link to the boats atm, google it...
