Linux powers $50 wireless mesh router
linuxdevices.com — A Google-backed start-up that began as an MIT doctoral thesis has begun selling $50 wireless mesh networking routers. Meraki's Linux-based "Mini" routers can be used singly but are at their best when used in clusters, sharing a single broadband Internet connection.

- jedoud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a positive direction. The idea is to have meshes built from sea to sea, with or without Google. I have watched this company from its days at MIT, and it is definitely going the right way for now. Another great project to come out of MIT and heading towards Project Oxygen, awesome.
