The iphone design specifics are things like the trim and buttons and the OS they have absolutely no rights regarding the basic design which existed long before the technology was around to even make it.

I have a T61p and it has given me better performance than any other laptop I have had, or worked on at the uni I work at. You have failed to mention the specs, model, and OS of the thinkpad you use. I currently have Windows 7 on this thing and it is running much faster than (even though it still ran fine with) Vista, giving me a great setup. I can play Crysis on a "Business" laptop. You probably just picked a ***** setup combined with vista. I believe you know nothing about the subject.

    But its all about personal opinion so excuse the being a jackass, sry.

Apple may have designed a brilliant phone but that doesn't give them the right to say no one can design a phone similar to it.
