  • andrew522, on 03/16/2008, -2/+16nice that there is some software to convert the pulse dialing into actual numbers that dial. you could use the same method to wire into the house's lines (and get rid of the landline, because I never use mine anymore. I have my cellphone and cable modem.) I love retro stuff like that.

  • reuteler, on 03/17/2008, -0/+4bleh. you can do better by running chanskype on your asterisk server, and using a digium IAXy as an ATA to hook up your phone. the IAXy will do rotary/pulse dial. then you'll have skype and normal VOIP as well w/ no need to modify the phone. i've got an Automatic Electric 40 and Western Electric 302 hooked up that way. swank!
