- SpectralSounds, on 01/09/2009, -1/+17In the town where I was born, lived a man who sailed to sea. And he told us of his life, in the land of submarines,
- SuperSombrero, on 01/10/2009, -0/+14So we sailed on to the sun,
Till we found the sea of green,
And we lived beneath the waves,
In our yellow submarine, - gwellington, on 01/10/2009, -1/+9Are we supposed to bury you if we aren't going to buy one? Because that's what I did.
- akchrs, on 01/10/2009, -1/+7When the going gets tough
And the stomach acids flow
The cold wind of conformity
Is nipping at your nose
When some trendy atrocity
Has brought you to your knees
Come with us, we’ll sail the Seas of Cheese - fyngyrz, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6So could I!
What's wrong with your imagination, Thesoilawyer? Never wanted to see a shipwreck a century or more old? No curiosity about WWII sinkings? Treasure? Archeological sites like those off Greece? Whales? Other cetaceans? Seals playing? Beautiful salt fish in general? The sunken train engine off the NJ coast from the civil war? Underseas volcanic activity? How about just walking up to some ultra hot beauty in a bikini, and offering her dinner, wine and discussion – in front of what you *know* is a beautiful coral reef? And the pranks... think of the reaction of a bunch of tourists in a glass-bottom boat when you pull up underneath and look _back_ at them...
Frankly, I think you need an imagination transplant. - doingallright, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6a yellow submarine
- s043446583, on 01/10/2009, -1/+5The OrcaSub kills those other two in speed, depth and endurance.
- DarkerMaster, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4and price
- uncertainty, on 01/10/2009, -1/+5We all live in a yellow submarine.
- fyngyrz, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3It wasn't a tan I was thinking of offering her:
"...and we're talking about six hours endurance." "Six hours?" "Yep. I swear. Just let me show you. I'll bring the oysters."
:o) - Brickster, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4Because the Nautilus was under the sea when it traveled 20,000 leagues... are you dumb?
- serif69, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4If I ever buy one, I'm going to start the race for the perfect personal torpedo.
- drgmdp, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3and coolness
- anselm83, on 01/10/2009, -1/+3WTF? Dude gets the chance to pilot a personal submarine and all he can think to write about it is "I tried, I sucked, I floated to the top. The end." Come on.
- andyb747, on 01/10/2009, -1/+3.......because flying cocaine into the U.S. is so 1980's
- Someguy101, on 02/19/2009, -0/+2I'm sure I could find a use for it.
- warpbackspin, on 01/10/2009, -1/+3"20,000 leagues" refers to the distance the Nautilus traveled, not the depth.
- Theoxenmooving, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2SeaQuest DSV
- socoolisme, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2The one that can hold the most cocaine.
- Taiyoryu, on 01/10/2009, -0/+2I remember the OrcaSub from way back when... essentially it's an underwater plane. I don't know the name, but I recall there was one that worked on the same principle of flying underwater, except you laid down on your stomach while piloting it.
- ireneadler00, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2Too expensive, but I want one. Oh, and a Ferrari too.
- Shaggy3, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2So I should stop building my Nautilus replica?
- jackson32, on 01/10/2009, -0/+1These have been used for years by other countries to smuggle drugs.
- oep4, on 01/13/2009, -0/+1loolie patoolies
- Brickster, on 01/11/2009, -0/+1I do what I can to try and curb the enormous amounts of stupid questions on the internet. Sadly, it doesn't do anything to help prevent those stupid inquisitors from responding with even less impressive retorts. Anonymity is the price I pay for my civil service, such is the life of a person with such "vast knowledge".
- antonyla, on 01/10/2009, -1/+1Nice. Perhaps I'll get one when the price become cheaper
- oboshoe, on 01/10/2009, -2/+2@brickster
wow. you've impressed so many with your vast knowledge.
too bad your anonymous - oboshoe, on 01/10/2009, -2/+2Well I suppose that it has about a much use as a yacht.
Except that I have an easier time imagining beautiful, half naked women lounging on a yacht, than a submarine.
"Oh yea, baby you'll get a great tan at 10,000 leagues" - inactive, on 01/10/2009, -2/+2What is it?!
- oboshoe, on 01/10/2009, -2/+2Then why is the book called "20,00 leagues under the sea"?
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -3/+2Who really has a use for one of these? I mean besides the ultra-rich and drug runners.
- oep4, on 01/10/2009, -11/+4this has literally been my dream since i was a kid, im 21 now so when i graduate college ill buy one!!!! DIGG THIS UP IF YOU WILL TOO!
